I am making a conscious effort to resume writing almost after a decade. A lot changed during the long sabbatical from writing and penning my chaotic thoughts. The world got divided in right and left wing, liberal and conservative, nationalist and anti- nationalist across globes etc etc.
I evolved in the decade - got married, had kids, moved states, settled in a city for 2 years and counting, got my own home, continued to follow cricket with little less vigor after the golden generation of Indian cricket retire earlier this hone decade, but I still bleed blue and root for country in every damn international match across any format.
My political thoughts evolved a lot over past 7 years - became hardened right winger or let me say more nationalist, understood how the great country of mine was criminally kept undeveloped and today the beloved country has embarked on a prosperous journey like never before despite so many nefarious elements home and abroad trying to scuttle the march to greatness. I don’t understand or let me say I underplay the color politics in the land of Uncle Sam which gives me bread, butter and a roof for me, my wife and 2 beautiful, headstrong daughters.
I had been a ferocious user of social media until few years back - checking in every goddamn thing on FaceBook before I understood how evil and crook of a company Facebook and Twitter are. Downscaled Facebook presence to an extent that I keep up with friends, but I don’t post pictures of my kids and my own daily stuff on social media anymore .
Social media companies are thieves and they make profit on user information. Some are less evil, some are more. Some are openly leftist and some are under the hood leftist , but at the end they all want your informations and sell it to the advertisers. In such chaotic world, I find very less tech CEOs to admire or even appreciate. But one such person stands out for me (I am a Apple fanboy) - Tim Cook.
He makes expensive products and has an ecosystem of his products under the name of Apple but he is a ceo I admire a lot.
Well this post got longer while trying to give the context of the decade away from penning my inner thoughts. As the night deepens, I think I will pause this post for now and take up more writing tomorrow. I will try to write at least one post every day on varied topics - what I feel about them without having to worry to lose my livelihood!
