It’s the nightmares that wake you, the phantom sensation of searing heat licking against your skin, the screams of your corps members, your friends, your family, hundreds gone in an instant. Sweat drips down your spine as you kick the blankets off, suddenly far too hot for comfort as you try to fight back the onslaught of tears before—
There’s a gentle knock on the door, and you don’t even need to look up to know it’s Kyle, slinking into your room and radiating with so much worry you can taste it. Wordlessly, you slide over, just in time for Kyle to perch on the edge of your mattress, “Odym again?”
You nod, but Kyle already knows. The question is a simple formality when your souls are so deeply entwined. Lying beside you, he lifts his arm, letting you scooch in close for a hug before pulling the covers back.
“Thank you. For being here.” You murmur into his chest, focusing on the steady beat of his heart.
“It’s what I’m here for.”
“I doubt that’s what the guardians had in mind.” The two of you giggling at the thought of Guardian-sponsored cuddles. Truthfully, you doubt anyone had realised the reality of the Guardians actions, least of all themselves. Whatever their manipulations, you and Kyle had been eternally bound, souls irrevocably chained. Kyle knows you better than anyone ever has or ever will.
You’re one of the last blue lanterns in the galaxy, and as such, a precious resource. One to be guarded, protected, nothing more than a commodity. Initially, you’d been furious, bitter, intent on making the life of whatever man you were given to a living hell. But then you’d met Kyle, felt his soul brush against yours, learned his dreams, hopes, feelings, without even needing words, and decided you could never hate him.
You did everything together, went everywhere together, something Guy Gardner teased you both relentlessly for. It used to bother you, in the beginning, but now you know him better, not as well as Kyle obviously, but the redhead had managed to endear himself to you, and you saw the teasing for what it really was.
That didn’t mean he still wasn’t one of the most annoying pricks you’d ever met. You trusted Guy to have your back; you might not be bonded in the same way, but your presence was still enough to boost his capabilities well beyond the norm, and Guy was an excellent Green Lantern.
Still, you’d much rather it were Kyle with you now, the two of you having been separated in the chaos of your latest mission. Practically the moment you’d entered the planet’s atmosphere, you’d been attacked, forced to split up.
“Kyle’s a big boy; he can look after himself.” You know that, but Guy’s attempted reassurance doesn’t make you worry any less. Not when Kyle’s absence is a physical ache in your side.
“I know, but I—” Something akin to a crack echoes through the air, and you stumble back into Guy’s arms from the sudden force of something hitting you in the chest. Looking down in confusion, the sharp, searing pain hits the moment you spot the rapidly growing pool of red staining the blue of your lantern suit.
“Guy?” You mumble, as he swears, loud and panicked, pulling you back into the safety of cover whilst forming a protective green bubble.
The shock and pain have rendered you essentially useless, dying as you are, because it's with distant acceptance that you realise, you’re about to die, you’re going to die, and all you can think of in this moment is Kyle.
He’s the last thing on your mind as you succumb to the darkness, a picture of his beautiful smile flashing behind behind your eyelids as you mumble out an apology he’ll never get to hear.
A few streets over, the man in question stumbles, rapidly gasping as a concerned Hal catches him by the arm. “Kyle, man, what’s—” He’s cut off when the younger man suddenly lets out an agonised, gut-wrenching wail before taking off faster than Hal can blink.
“Shit.” He hisses, hurrying to catch up to the blazing green wrecking ball, wreaking havoc through the district.
Kyle’s never felt such intense agony in his entire existence; his heart feels as if it's been ripped from his chest, his very soul torn in half as he blindly flies toward where he senses your rapidly fading presence. Later, he won’t recall the seismic rage that had overcome his being, nor the way he’d mowed through the enemies without mercy, uncaring of potentially fatal injuries.
Kyle drops to his knees beside your already cooling body, gathering you in his arms with a messy wail, fruitlessly begging you to come back to him as a shellshocked Guy watches on, unsure what to do.
“Kyle buddy…” He puts a hand on his friends shoulder, only to gasp when a large green hand grabs him, throwing him against the nearest wall.
“Don’t touch me!” Kyle snarls like a cornered dog, tugging your body even tighter to his chest. “Don’t touch…Just leave us be! Just…” His words trail off, swallowed by the deep heaving sobs. Tears slid down his cheeks rapidly, falling on your peaceful face and if it weren’t for the fact your chest no longer rose and fell, Kyle might have been able to trick himself into believing you were just sleeping.
He’s dazed, helplessly lost without you, a gaping black hole in chest where his heart is supposed to be, the heart he no longer has, for you’ve taken it with you into the darkness he’s sure to quickly follow.
You were his blue, his to love, his to protect and he’s failed you. Failed in his one duty, that had long since stopped feeling as such.
Kyle doesn’t notice Hal’s arrival either, not until hands try to pull him away from you and he’s lashing out like a rabid dog once more. Words of comfort and reason are lost on him, for truthfully, Kyle’s no longer there.
He’s a shell, a case with his insides scooped out, never to be a person again. Nothing more than a ghost living on borrowed time.
Through some miracle, Hal and Guy manage to pry his exhausted form off of you, but it’s only by knocking him out do they manage to make the journey back to OA.
His friends try their best to support him, but none of them realise it’s already too late, there’s nothing left of him to save.
Kyle wakes for the last time on the day of your funeral, having to be practically dragged into attendance, and when the night falls and he finally closes his eyes, they never open again.
He refuses to live in a world without you, he can’t— so, he doesn’t
Thinking about Hal Jordan x reader. Something soft and silly where Barry’s got a bit of a crush on his girl.
MAYBE SHE LIKES FLASH ( Hal jordan! )
summary: Barry tells Hal about a girl who is always in the eye of the storm helping to save people and how attracted he is to her, but when he meets her Barry wants to disappear from the earth.
pairing: Hal Jordan x Blue lantern! fem reader
request - Hal masterlist
The corner cafe near the League Tower wasn't exactly glamorous, but it had good espresso and few cameras, making it a decent retreat for two civilian superheroes who just wanted to chat like normal people. Barry stirred his coffee with a plastic spoon, making circles as if the movement helped him gather his thoughts.
"I swear it's not a big deal," Barry said, smiling awkwardly as he stirred his coffee. "Just... I don't know. I always run into her at Central when there's trouble. It's like she has radar for explosions."
Hal looked at him from across the table, one eyebrow raised. “A civilian?”
"Yes, absolutely. I think she works near the center. she's always around that area," Barry replied, unconsciously lowering his voice, as if saying it out loud would give more weight to everything he'd been suppressing. "And she's always close to danger for some reason, but she never reacts in a hurry, never seems afraid, always stays to help."
He paused, his gaze lost for a second in the café window. And, unwillingly, he smiled. He thought of the time he saw her pull a baby boy from the rubble of a destroyed toy store. How the baby had trembled in her hands as she cradled him, but she continued to speak to him in a calm voice. He thought of how she had said "thank you" to him with her eyes still full of dust and her smile intact.
"She has that vibe of... you know," he said. "A good person. One of those, when they're there, they make a difference. A beautiful smile, and a look... as if she's known you all her life even though she's seeing you for the first time. She's one of those girls who... I don't know. Makes you want to introduce yourself. To invite her out for coffee."
Hal watched him intently, his arms crossed and his expression carefully neutral. He didn't say anything right away.
And Barry, who didn't suspect anything, just shrugged. "I guess she has that... I don't know, like a light. Something that gives you peace. Maybe that's why I can't get her out of my head."
Hal held his mug, turning it slowly between his fingers, before calmly answering. "She hits you hard, huh?" he said, without judgment, just stating the obvious.
Barry gave a short, somewhat embarrassed laugh. "No. I mean, not loud. It just kept going around in my head. It's weird. She's a civilian, probably has a boyfriend, a cat, a normal life... But if I run into her again, I'll cheer up. Anyway... what's the worst that can happen?"
Hal took a sip of his drink, saying nothing. He just smiled, but it was barely perceptible. "Well, maybe you'll get lucky and she'll like Flash."
Barry smiled, half-excited. "Can you imagine? I run into her one more time and I cheer up. After all, what's the worst that could happen?
Hal calmly lowered his cup, barely shrugging. "Who knows, Barry... the world goes around."
Days later, Barry was walking through a pedestrian zone in Central City, fresh off patrol. Out of uniform, wearing dark glasses, and in the typical need for a cup of coffee. Just as he stopped in front of his usual coffee shop, he saw them: a couple, laughing at one of the small tables in the sun.
It took him a second to recognize Hal Jordan. Leather jacket, glasses dangling from his neck, that carefree attitude, Hal saw him first.
"Barry!" he greeted in his usual confident, half-mocking voice. "What a coincidence. Come on, I'll introduce you to someone."
Slowly, he approached the table where the two were enjoying the lovely afternoon. you turned to him curiously, and upon recognizing him, you smiled. The same smile. The one Barry had often imagined behind a cup of coffee or in the middle of an explosion. .
"Hi," you said politely, holding out your hand. "So you're Barry."
"Huh? Me? Do you know me?"
"Of course. Hal always talks about you. A lot. Especially when he's complaining" you said, laughing."t's nice to see you without an explosion in the background.
"Uh... yeah," Barry said, with a nervous laugh. "I'm trying that walking thing today."
Hal was already settling into his chair with gusto. "Barry, this is my girlfriend. Although I think you've met before, right?"
"Yeah, uh..." He looked at her, trying to sound normal. "We ran into each other a couple of times. Nothing major. Landslides. Fire. Just the routine, you know."
"You're always where you're needed," you said, leaning slightly towards him. "It's kind of funny always running into each other."
"Yeah, it's funny," Barry replied, forcing a smile. "But you didn't seem too surprised to be there either."
You gave him a gentle look. One that neither confirmed nor denied anything. "Let's just say... I have a certain affinity for emergencies."
"Affinity?" Barry repeated, tilting his head slightly. "It sounds… uncivil."
"It depends on how you define “civilian,” you said with a half smile. “All three of us are civilians, aren’t we?”
Barry nodded, swallowing. “Well, I don’t remember seeing you, you know, the other way.”
You crossed your arms, smiling playfully, as if that sentence opened the door to a secret you weren't quite ready to share. "I don't usually flaunt it," you replied. "Sometimes, being discreet helps more than being the center of attention, especially if you're dressed all in blue."
Hal burst out laughing, clearly enjoying the scene. "She prefers to keep a low profile," he said simply. "But trust me, when things get ugly, she's the first one to show up in a suit."
Barry looked at you with a mixture of astonishment and resignation, as if he understood that all that "affinity" you'd mentioned had a deeper explanation. "So you're not so civil after all."
"Not exactly," you confirmed with a smile. "Want to stay and have a drink with us? We have a free seat."
"No, thanks. I'll have coffee waiting for me... and you know, supervillains never rest," Barry said, standing up with a tired but genuine smile.
Hal leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms in satisfaction. "So you run away just when you could learn a thing or two."
"Let's just say I'd rather face explosions than awkward conversations," Barry replied, winking at you before walking away. "But thanks for the invitation."
You watched him walk away, his figure disappearing into the crowd. "He's a nice guy, stop bothering him" you commented.
Hal nodded, still smiling. He laced his fingers through yours, and the world kept turning, with more things to say and fewer words to weigh them down.
Barry turned and left. He walked a few feet. And he muttered, without pausing: "The world is spinning, Barry, maybe he likes Flash" he repeated mockingly. "Perfect, now I'm going to have to disappear from this earth so he'll stop making fun of me."
(Vampire Hal Jordan x Vampire Blue Lantern Reader x Barry Allen) Barry was definitely doing this for totally selfless, non-sexual reasons.
Maybe Barry had bitten off more than even he could chew, but in this instance, he’s willing to make peace with dying from the overindulgence of two vampire Lanterns.
A part of him was aware that he should be concerned about the looming vampire global takeover and the fact that various members of the superhero community had already been compromised, but Hal’s now fanged grin and your imploring eyes were unfairly distracting.
“You’re so warm, Barry,” you had noted, nuzzling your head against his stomach, arms wrapped around his waist.
“Ah, well, my acceleration—“ Barry flusters for a moment trying to ignore the way your fingers trace patterns into his suit.
“We’ve already heard that explanation a hundred times, Bar, it’s just nice how…different you are from us now,” Hal interrupts, burying his head into the crook of the speedster’s neck.
Barry stills for a second, the realization that despite how you both sounded and mostly looked the same, his trusted friends were now something fundamentally different. Colder, devoid of blood running in your veins; undead. He scolds himself for thinking anything more of you two nestling against his warmth, not when the reason was so—
He lets out a shout of surprise when a sudden blast of blue light leaves his suit less of an outfit and more of a mess of tatters barely clinging to his skin.
He looks down at the culprit to be met with a guilty grin.
“Sorry, didn’t think I could ever catch you off guard,” you apologize, fingers drumming against his thigh as you peer up at him, “It was pretty cute, though.”
It was a sight he hadn’t anticipated to ever see, especially after you and Hal had asked to meet up on the outskirts of Coast City. He was, of course, happy to see his two friends back on Earth for once, but he hadn’t expected them to drop the bombshell of there being an approaching vampire war and they had already been turned. And he definitely couldn’t have anticipated to be propositioned by said vampire friends.
(It took a lot, Hal had said, to not give in to these new urges…don’t know if I could have had the will to do it without Bluey here.
We don’t want to hurt people, but we can’t really go on without, your face scrunched up as you struggled to end your explanation, blood.)
Don’t get hard, don’t get hard, Barry chanted over and over, trying not to focus on how suggestive the sight of you on your knees, clinging to him was.
“I’m cute too, right?” Hal spoke up, freeing Barry’s hair from what remained of his red cowl.
“Nope,” you respond blandly, “Hold him up, will you? Even with my healing and Barry’s everything, I don’t want to risk him passing out.”
“She’s always been nicer to you, Barry,” Hal scoffs, green light enveloping Barry in a gentile but firm hold, “Not too late to back out, you know. We could probably make do with hunting for rodents like feral cats—“
“It’s fine,” Barry interrupts, “I mean, only I can really do it, and you two need your strength if a war is really coming.”
“You’re way too nice,” you chide lightly, gloved fingers tearing off what remained of the lower part of his suit, the blond jolting in response at the sudden chill, a reminder he wasn’t wearing boxers.
“How—uh—what…” He trails off when Hal presses a kiss against the pulsepoint on his neck.
Don’t get hard, don’t get hard—
“You’re a bit obvious with your desires, Bar, not that we mind,” He hums, sharp teeth teasing his flesh.
“I—“
“You should brace yourself, it might be hard not to instinctively fight back when someone’s—“ you started to say before Hal bit down, Barry only being able to remain still and not jump away because of the former’s construct.
It was slightly unnerving having something so intrinsically lethal pierce somewhere so vulnerable, but when Hal began to lap at the blood leaving him, a sense of satisfaction hit him at having his best friend rely so heavily on him—
He startles again when your hand begins to pump his embarrassingly hard member, blue ring shining as he feels a sudden rush of energy enter his body, a sense of relief contrasting the pain in his neck.
“Hal was right,” you remark casually, as if you weren’t boosting his red blood cell count via handjob, “You are pretty big.”
“A-ah,” he near whimpers, when you move closer to kiss his tip, precum staining your lips.
He swears he hears Hal chuckle, as the other man moves his hands to grope at his chest.
He’s grateful that he doesn’t have to humiliate himself any further thanks to his restraints preventing him from jerking his hips further into your hand.
That sentiment quickly becomes useless when he looks down again to see a flash of your fangs as you move your mouth to press against where his thigh meet his pelvis. The moment your teeth sink into his skin, he’s a goner, that much is clear when he cums with a strangled moan.
He can definitely hear Hal’s laughter now.
“Okay, maybe she is mean to you too…”
Blue Lantern: We should definitely start to target anyone already turned now—
Barry: Yeah, definitely, but you’re still looking a little, uh, hungry, maybe we should—
Hal: At least you can be open about being a freak now
Handjob of healing (liberties were taken…)
DC vs Vampires kinda did Hal dirty, like yes he was really cool in the first issue or two, but if you can resist subservience as a vampire, shouldn’t the willpower dude be able to do that?? Like a kid was able to do it?? They’re always doing lanterns bad in elseworlds…
(Hal Jordan x Blue Lantern Reader) Where Hal is the one that grounds you after a big reveal and the Justice League is always in everyone’s business.
“Three life forms detected.”
Hearing the status from the ring, you and Hal exchanged glances, finding that the abandoned planet you two often visited in between missions wasn’t as vacant as you initially thought.
“Hello—!” Cupping your hands around your mouth you began to shout out, only for Hal to immediately envelop more than half your face with his stupidity big hand, as he pulls your back into his chest.
“What are you doing?” He hisses, looking around worriedly, as you try to shove him off you.
“No one is ever here but us, someone might have gotten stranded here,” you explain, trying to look up at him.
“That doesn’t mean you should go announcing yourself to a possible hostile!” Hal retorts, tightening his grip on you.
You’re sure Barry or Batman would have felt vindicated amusement in how your usually reckless, highball partner was forced to take up a certain level of caution when paired with you. While Hal Jordan was an optimist, even he had nothing against a wielder of the hope ring.
“So what? No one can stand a chance against a Blue Lantern and Green Lantern, you’ve said that way too many times to count,” you finally escape his grasp before turning around to face him, “Besides, if they need help, it’s my duty to provide it.”
The man before you sighs tiredly, shooting you a wry grin. “Maybe you should have been the Green Lantern with how stubborn you can be, berryblue.”
“How many times have I told you not to call me that?”
*
“Come on, there’s no one here! We’ve been here for hours—“
“Less than a hour.”
“Let’s head home, order some takeout, watch watch whatever tv show you’re obsessed with right now, maybe fool around a bit-“
“Hal.”
He groans, before splaying himself against you, relying on you to keep him upright.
“It’s been so long since we’ve been alone, don’t you want me to take care of you?” His hand travels lower, giving your bottom a generous squeeze, eliciting a strangled yelp and punch from you, which he only laughs at.
For a second, you think he somehow flustered you enough that your knees felt weak enough to buckle, but with how your head felt like it was being drilled from the inside, you conclude that this goes beyond Hal Jordan’s charm.
“Babe,” he starts, but stops when he sees you bring up a hand to massage your temple. “What’s wrong?”
“Just a headache. I’m fine, Hal,” You assure him, gently pushing him off.
You can already tell he’s furrowing his eyebrows beneath his mask before he brings his hands to grasp your arms, pulling you closer to inspect your face properly.
“Your ring should have negated anything like that. God knows how many migraines—“
“Hangovers.”
“—you’ve cured for me. Something’s going on.” He frowns.
“Just tired. We haven’t been home in months, it’s probably just taking a bit of a toll,” you reply, ignoring the way your vision becomes blurred.
“More the reason we should go, then.” He declares, his face hardening into the determined expression you’re more than familiar with.
“Not until we find whoever else is here.”
He groans out your name in exasperation.
You’re sure that he’s giving you a lecture about self-care, probably adding a salacious remark or two. But you’re unable to register him when the world around you begins to tilt.
*
He’s calling your name. Not ‘babe’ or some other embarrassingly gushy pet name . He’s definitely worried. So when your eyes flutter open, you’re not surprised to see the distress on his face as he cradles you to his chest.
“How long was I out?”
“You…only a couple minutes,” he answers, his grip on you tightening for a moment, “Come on, we’re going home.”
Scowling, you squirm in arms, but his hold remains steadfast, much to your fond irritation. “It was just a dizzy spell—“
“That was not—!”
“I’m fine. Besides, we still haven’t found whoever else is here!”
“They could be the Pope, and I still wouldn’t give a shit!” He bites back, his hand flexing on the meat of your thigh, mindful enough to not strengthen his grip on any further.
You furrow your brows, I mean, yeah, you’re literally Jewish.
“Give me a boost, will you? I’ll have us back in the watchtower before it’s Spooky’s feeding time.”
When you remain still, he jostles you lightly, but you avoid meeting his gaze.
He growls out your name impatiently, before softening.
“I’ll have Guy or Kyle do a scope here as soon as we get you checked out,” he promises.
“It’s probably nothing,” you grumble, before acquiescing, focusing on his ring and augmenting its output, “Gently, Hal.”
“Only because you asked so sweetly.”

Powered down and tucked into a med bay bed, you toyed with the ring on your finger as Hal finished off the leftovers of the meal J’ohn brought you.
“Sure you don’t want me to get you anything else?” Hal asks leaning forward on his chair.
“I’m fine,” you reply absentmindedly. You’re sure he’s looking at you with that dumb, loving expression he gets around you, when his brown eyes soften enough to resemble melted chocolate, so you avoid looking at him lest you break.
He places his hand over yours, giving it a light squeeze, “You were just overworked, don’t worry, Nurse Jordan will you have up and running in no time.”
“Liar. You were the one saying something has to be really wrong for my ring to not cancel everything out,” you scoff, trying to fight back a smile when he winces guiltily. “Well, your bedside manner isn’t too bad, though.”
With a soft grin he climbs onto your bed, nestling one of his arms behind you so it’s wrapped around your shoulders, moving around until you’re settled against his chest, as he uses his free hand to lock fingers with yours.
“You’ll be just fine,” he quietly assures, thumb rubbing against your hand soothingly, “After all, there isn’t anything we can’t figure out together.”
“Because of our rings?” You mumble as best you can with your cheek smushed against him.
“Because I’d literally tear reality apart for you and you’re my stubborn, intelligent, gorgeous girl that’s going to outlast everyone.” he responds casually. You really can’t tell if he’s joking or not. “But yeah, the whole ‘strongest weapons in the universe’ thing too.”
You let out a breathy laugh, nuzzling against him, only straightening up when J’ohn returns, expression as enigmatic as ever.
“One of the functions of the hope ring is to keep its wielder in peak condition, especially since its speciality is regeneration, correct?” He asks.
“Always wakes up without an ache or creak in her back, her ring surpasses mine in that regard,” Hal comments, squeezing your hand.
“Yes, I think its effect on your physiology is more proactive than anyone could have anticipated.”
“Just spit it out,” you sigh, wanting to rip the bandaid off.
The Martian clears his throat, suddenly look awkward, “There really was no way for you to realize, with the ring working to negate any symptoms and attempting to keep your body in optimal condition, that you are…with child. Second trimester, I would guess.”
You’re very sure that you’re brain just blue screened for a second, jolting back into reality when a tension you didn’t notice in your partner immediately faded, “Oh thank god.”
You look at him incredulously as he grins sheepishly.
“Sorry, sorry, but I was really worried it was something terminal or some galactic virus!”
“Weren’t you telling me not to worry earlier?”
“Yeah, you’re a Blue Lantern, worrying is my job between the two of us.”
J’ohn clears his throat again, pausing your debate, “We can have our on-staff medical team oversee your…condition, or we can refer you to trusted OB-GYN on Earth. While rare, a ‘cryptid pregnancy’ is still completely safe. It’s just good we were able to catch it so early.”
“Yeah, imagine if you randomly went into labour in the middle of space,” Hal states, visibly shuddering at the thought.
You groan, burying your face in your hands.
“I’ll leave you two to discuss this privately,” The Martian excuses himself.
You feel two large hands wrap around your waist, and in an instant Hal has manhandled you in his lap, his back hitting the pillows you were just propped up on. He buries his face into your neck, humming contentedly.
“What are you thinking?”
“What are you thinking? You’re awfully calm when this is probably the last thing you’d want, flyboy.” You retort with a bit more venom than you wanted, but he only nuzzles his nose near your pulse point.
“I’ll admit that when I got this ring, I figured I wouldn’t do the whole family man thing. I mean there was a point where my feet wouldn’t even touch the ground, between sector shit and the airfield,” Hal starts, “but being with you, I realized that I wouldn’t have to ever tie myself down because it would never feel that way with you. Not that I would mind you tying me up.”
Despite your best efforts you laugh, and you feel him smile against your skin.
“Whether we’re on Earth or on the other side of the sector, I’d be happy as long as you’re the one holding my reigns. Lantern or not, I know we’ll be okay. So being married to you and raising a kid…what’s not to want?” You remain silent for a moment before relaxing against him.
“I won’t say I’ve never thought about this before and the ring is definitely going to make the process unfairly easy,” you begin quietly.
“Oh, yeah, bet there are a lot of ladies that just hate your guts for that alone.”
“So, I—,” you pause for a moment, Hal patiently waiting, “I want to do this. With you. I mean, I’m scared but overcoming fear is kind of our thing.”
Hal’s hand comes up to tilt your head back to press his lips against yours. The angle is a bit awkward, but Hal leaves you breathless nonetheless, and even now, he’s smiling.
You pull away with a shriek, when his other hand reaches up to grope your breast. “No, just like I thought, it’s definitely bigger. More sensitive too.”
“You’re the worst,” you complain without any real heat.
“Hey, just checking!” Hal grins deviously, giving you another squeeze before you’re interrupted by the sound of a certain bat clearing his throat. You would have jumped out of Hal’s arms if not for his grip on you, clearly unashamed of cuddling you even in Bruce’s presence.
“Hey, Spooky, here to congratulate us?” Hal asks and you resist the urge to elbow him for being so obvious, but the other man only hums in affirmation and you realize you should have known nothing goes unknown to the bat.
“And to assist in anyway you two would need.” He approaches you and hands you a pile of—
“Brochures?” Hal observes. “‘How to handle your super bundle’, ‘How to go from Superhero to Super Parent’—who the hell made these?”
“Not like we’re having a super baby that could try to claw out of me ‘Alien’ style,” you note.
“While you two are both normal humans, that doesn’t mean you won’t have our support in having a new responsibility added to your already busy lives,” Batman affirms, “We will also set up a college fund when your child is born and cover medical expenses and the like. And—“
“Wait, too much info,” you massage your temple, “Since when did we have all these resources? Oh, Clark wasn’t kidding when he said you paid his rent!”
Bruce only smirks in response. Rich people.
“Alright, alright, we get it, maybe don’t try to send the love of my life into an existential crisis?” Hal interjects. Softie.
“We can talk more later. Some of the parents in our community have monthly meetings. I’m sure Barry will be sending you invites and reminders as soon as he finds out,” Bruce says, looking vaguely amused.
“Hold on, how many people know? How did you even find out? Did J’ohn tell you?” You question, furrowing your brows.
“As soon as you two arrived, Clark heard a third heartbeat, and we all know he can’t contain himself on these matters.” Bruce explains already heading for the door, deeming the conversation done. You have no doubt he’ll be popping around Coast City in the coming months though.
“He’s such a gossip, or more like everyone here is,” you complain, “Better tell Barry and Ollie while you can. They’ll be mad if they find out from the grapevine.”
“Guess we got a lot to do when we get back home,” Hal muses with a stupid grin, probably already planning out a green, space themed nursery.
You hum, leaning back into his hold before jolting. “Third life force!”
“Huh?”
“The—ring—third life force! It knew!” You sputter out, glaring at your finger accusingly.
Hal stares at you for a moment before bursting out in laughter as his shoulders shook, once again burying his face into your neck, which did very little to muffle him.
“Hal!”
Low key my worst fear, but it’s Hal and I think he should acquire a child if dc isn’t going to write him being a big bro to air wave. Also I want his dick LMAO

A(nniversary) - How do they celebrate anniversaries with their partner?
Hal isn’t the best with dates, mostly in fault of his Lantern activities leaving him displaced after missions, but he’s not oblivious. He knows the importance of milestones, especially when it comes to you, so whether it’s through setting reminders on his ring or having someone like Kilowog or Barry hammering it in his head, he refuses to forget and hurt you, like he’s done with others. Even if he’s battered and bruised, he’s going to face you with a bouquet and dinner invite. Sneaks you onto the airfield afterwards for a midnight flight without the ring, as is tradition.
B(athroom) - Is their shared bathroom messy or organized? Do they enjoy showering/bathing with their partner?
While he may let water drip onto the floor and leave his clothes on the hook rather than putting it in the laundry hamper, he’s not a slob. His mother was the only woman in the house, so she was strict on making sure her sons knew to clean up after themselves and not leave the toilet seat up, lest they wanted to face her wrath. He’s also mostly lived as a bachelor, so he has the sense to at least try to keep things tidy, but definitely has grown reliant on the ring for cleaning.
C(elebration) - What holidays do they and their partner celebrate? What are birthdays like? Do they like hosting parties and meals?
He’s grown used to having missed some holidays over the years due to his duties, but for his nieces and nephews, he always tries his best to be present for Christmas and Hanukkah (Jewish mother and Catholic Father), and, of course, an invite is always extended to you. He’s definitely forgotten his own birthday before, but he doesn’t mind it being celebrated. The older he gets, the more dread he may feel with each year, but he appreciates his friends and family for caring enough to plan something. Definitely expect some visits from his loved ones, like Barry, Oliver, and even Kilowog. Other Lanterns contact him through the rings with well wishes. He likes spending the rest of the day with you at home, though.
For your birthday, he tries to get up early to make you breakfast in bed and sets up a trip, probably on a planet he’s visited in the past, to make it an unforgettable memory. Definitely has to ask around what to gift you, getting a variety of suggestions, some more outlandish than the others.
Doesn’t mind hosting a casual get together at home if he wants to watch baseball or football with his pals, but struggles with having to host something more formal. By the time everyone is gone, he’s slumped against you, trying to convince you to leave the cleanup for tomorrow.
D(inner) - Do they eat dinner with their partner every night? Do they do most of the cooking, or at least help with it? Do they like to talk about their day or enjoy a comfortable silence?
If he’s an active Lantern, then no, but he tries his best. If he’s just regular old pilot Hal Jordan, then definitely!
He can cook! Feels more motivation to do so when it’s for another person. Probably keeps it simple, with a main dish that’s a protein (fish, steak, etc) with a side. Pulls out all the stops for Hanukkah. Who cooks more depends on both of your schedules.
Definitely likes to talk, sharing stories or anecdotes. Likes to eat in front of the TV.
E(ntrance) - How do they greet their partner when they arrive home?
If he’s in a humorous mood, he enters with a cheesy “Honey, I’m home!”, smacking his lips against your cheek noisily.
Usually, he comes from the balcony, declaring he’s not a burglar but your beloved partner and asks that you don’t come out swinging. Again.
F(amily) - Do they want to start a family with their partner? Any pets or children? How do they get along with their partner's relatives?
You can’t do a job forever, and especially not one as demanding as being a Green Lantern. It’s a known fact you either live long enough to eventually retire (whether from your age catching up with you or losing the will to continue) or you don’t. And Hal tries hard as hell to not have the latter as his fate. He’s thought of settling down more than once, that even if flying is what he always wants to do, being with you as become a stronger desire. He wants to grow old with you, and not leave you in a state similar to his mother’s after his father passed.
But even if he did marry you as an active Lantern, he would always make sure to come home with you, and depending on the circumstances, the both of you will be up in the stars for a while before planting your feet on the ground again.
Hal loves kids, that much is clear from how he treats his nephews and nieces, honorary ones included, so if his partner wanted kids or had kids, he’d be happy to included child rearing into his life. He will be a bit hesitant on starting a family unless you two are sure you can provide a child with a stable life, physically and emotionally. Can see him having kids before his twenties or after, no in between. Ends up with just one kid, maybe a second, accidentally.
While Hal likes animals, he’s aware that he’s not home enough to care for one. If both of you are settled in one place, he’ll deflect when you bring up getting a pet because he might see it as more trouble than it’s worth. But if you bring home a floppy eared dog with sad, glossy eyes, he’ll act like he still doesn’t want a pet and give the dog a stink eye, but quickly gains a soft spot for the dog and is always found lounging around with your newest addition.
G(roceries) - Do they like to go shopping with their partner? Are they trying to sneak treats into the cart when no one is looking?
While he was living alone, he probably didn’t shop as often as he should have, so he has to get into the habit of stopping by the store after working, texting you to see what you need. Still acts surprised when he opens the fridge to see it filled with actual food, rather than beer and condiments.
He finds grocery shopping to be more enjoyable with you, pushing the cart and sometimes lightly bumping you to catch your attention. Gets bored enough to observer workers and other customers, and act out their inner monologue.
Yes, he adds a ridiculous amount of chips and packaged sweets to the cart, usually in case of any visitors wanting to sleepover with ‘uncle Hal’.
H(ouse) - How quick do they ask to live together? Where do they and their partner move in together? Do they get a new place entirely, or does one just start living with the other?
Slow, especially considering there have been periods where his place of residence was Jim’s couch, but also because he might find that step to be intimidating. Probably gets some sense smacked into him by his friends or even Sue Jordan telling him to not keep you waiting. Jane probably calls him out too for not properly committing. If you’re also a Lantern, the next best thing is just sticking together when you can, creating designated meet up spots in the sector to spend some time together. If Oa isn’t in ruins, you probably share a room there. Mogo is also a victim to your rendezvous.
Definitely ends with you two buying a new house or apartment in Coast City when the time comes.
I(ndoors) - What's their favorite way to spend a lazy/rainy day in with their partner?
Sleeping in is a must, so be prepared to miss breakfast when he wraps an arm around you to bury his face in your neck, soft snores escaping him as he halfway covers you. Even pretends to be asleep when you try to wake him up and escape his grasp.
Is more than content to spend the day in the living room for once, the TV idly playing in the background as he digs out the old model airplane kit Barry gifted him once, finally able to focus on it.
J(obs) - Do they work with their partner? If not, do they ever visit their place of work?
Considering most of his relations have been with fellow heroes, a fellow pilot, and his actual coworkers/superiors, then it would be pretty likely he meets you through work. Probably a fellow Lantern, where you have the opportunity to be stationed together.
If you’re in a different corps, he’ll track you down and probably try to save the day, while shooting you a grin as he slams a construct into an enemy as you watch with exasperation.
Could also see him popping into your actual place of work with lunch or flowers, hair styled just so, calling out to you in front of your coworkers. Casually asks if any of your coworkers think he’s cute, after.
K(eepsake) - Have they decorated with/displayed any mementos from their relationship?
Has a picture of you taped to his locker at Ferris and has you as his wallpaper (chooses a goofy photo, much to your irritation), becomes a bit smug when someone notices, more than willing to brag about you.
I can also see him wearing your hair tie on his wrist. And, a bit off topic, he’s secure enough to hold your purse in public with a certain confidence.
L(aundry) - Do they help with their partner's laundry, or do they only focus on their own clothes? Do they share a closet or dresser with their partner?
He’s definitely messed up some of your laundry before by not checking the fabric tags, so you end up preferring to do the laundry yourself and make him fold it.
You end up splitting the closet, and you’re surprised to see sweaters and shirts he never seems to wear, pushed to the back. He’s the type to grab whatever’s near and throw it on, which ends up with him going through the same outfits a lot of the time.
M(ornings) - What's it like waking up with them? Are they a morning person, or does their partner have to drag them out of bed?
When sunlight starts to peak into your room, he buries his face into a pillow or your hair with a groan, lets out an even louder groan when he eventually gets up and stretches. When you tease him about his back, he throws a pillow at you.
Unless you actively hate mornings, he usually wakes up after you, and starts looking for you if you’re not in bed. Ends up hopping in the shower with you and says he’s saving money. Will pester you until you wash his hair.
There are some mornings where he’ll wake up at the crack of dawn and drag you onto to the roof to watch the sunrise in peaceful silence, whether it’s because of a whim or something else, you never ask.
N(ights) - What's their nightly routine with their partner? Do they go to bed earlier, later, or at the same time? How do they sneak into bed when they've come home late?
Doesn’t immediately go to sleep once he’s settled in bed, making conversation with you about one thing or the other until you’re half asleep. Probably convinces you to watch some TV with him before bed.
The type to read a chapter or two to bed, usually a novel you or someone else like Barry or John would recommend, sometimes staying up later into the night if it’s particularly engaging. You eventually tell him to turn off his ring’s light and go to bed by the time it’s 2am.
When he comes home late, which can be often, he’s able to tuck himself against you without disturbing your sleep, used to keeping his footsteps quiet from years of experience sneaking out when he was younger.
Without a doubt, he’s a nightowl that regrets it the very next morning.
O(rbit) - Are they constantly at their partner's side, or do they keep to themself more?
If he’s still an active lantern, he’s glued to your side during his breaks, near moulding into your skin with his causal clinginess, although he does actually relax into actually giving you your own time alone once he’s gotten his fill of you. Content to simply be in the same room with you.
P(resent) - Do they often bring home gifts for their partner? What do they usually buy?
Brings you souvenirs from different planets, like rocks or preserved plant life whenever he visits somewhere new, has definitely gotten you some novelty items before, like a t-shirt or bobble head. You find yourself learning a lot about how different planets aren’t to different when it comes to tourism.
Q(uarrel) - Do they get into fights with their partner often? Do they let it escalate or try to calm it down?
He’s not the type to back down so arguments aren’t impossible when you two disagree on certain matters, usually related to lantern duties.
While he can be hotheaded and say things that he regrets, he does have experience in reigning himself in and stepping away to let things cool down. He’s matured enough over the years to not want to avoid you or the problem, so rather than running away, he’d try to deal with the root of the issue a bit more calmly.
Doesn’t like to go to bed angry with you, and vice versa.
R(esponsibility) - Do they take on very many chores? Do they complain about it? How helpful are they when it comes to housework?
Not thrilled with doing housework but he gets what you ask him to do done. He probably has some bad habits like laundry on the floor or leaving dishes in the sink.
He grumbles about it, but he’s been in the airforce and lived alone before, so he’s not hopeless with cleaning and isn’t the type to leave you to do all the work alone. He’s seen his mom do it all, so he definitely knows to be considerate of you.
S(ickness) - How do they take care of their partner when they're ill? How do they like to be taken care of when the roles are reversed?
Sets you up in the living room when you’re sick, bundling you up on the couch and immediately making soup. Now’s the time to make him do what he usually won’t, whether it’s acting like an errand boy or forcing him to watch a show he’s refused to entertain before. Ignores your warnings to stay away and cuddles with you, claiming he won’t get sick.
When he’s sick, he’s either in denial of it and refuses to rest or he acts like he’s dying and needs to be pampered, becoming more petulant than you’ve ever seen him.
T(elevison) - Do they watch TV with their partner regularly? What do they watch? (Morning news? Sitcoms? Dramas?) Do they ever fight over the remote?
Hal’s a bit of a couch potato so watching TV is pretty regular (complains about streaming services a lot) for you two. Obviously you would have some baseball or football match playing during game season, but he’s surprisingly a sucker for reality TV, the trashier the better. Loves making commentary and stupid jokes.
Also gets into some dramas and soap operas with you, becoming increasingly invested with the characters, even if he pretends he isn’t.
Has fought with you over the remote to watch ‘the game’. Does not win.
U(nwind) - What's their favorite way to be comforted when coming home from a stressful day? How would they comfort their stressed partner?
You letting him melt into you, burying his head into your chest without a word, stroking his hair in peaceful silence means more to him than you could know. Just listening to your heartbeat and breathing in your scent lets him ignore whatever else is going on.
When you’re stressed, he tries to make your life easier, doing more chores and taking care of meals. He eventually drags you off to fly with him, before asking if you want to talk once your feet hit the ground again.
V(acation) - How often do they take trips with their partner? What is their ideal vacation?
Pretty often. Whenever you have the chance, really. He’s already known for having road trips with Oliver, so he likes traveling, whether it’s to another planet or some tourist trap in the middle of nowhere Oregon.
He would nerd out if you ever visited any Aerospace museum, spitting out any fact he knows about each display.
His ideal vacation would be an intergalactic road trip, swiping the fastest ship on Oa to see what the stars have to offer. His penchant for tourist traps and attractions aren’t reserved for just Earth. There will be hijinks and battles, as is his luck, but it will definitely become memories he cherishes.
W(edding) - Are they and their partner married? Do they elope or have a more traditional wedding, if any?
Could honestly see him be content with common law if that’s what his partner prefers, but he is the type to carry a ring with him for months before finally finding the right moment (meeting your gaze after an intense fight, both of you bruised and battered but smiling, laughing from what little adrenaline is still in your bodies before near melting in face of your gaze, naturally falling to his knees—) to actually propose.
He’d also have no issue eloping, but I can see him enjoying a small, intimate wedding with your loved ones (no capes or masks), sincerely professing his love to you as Kilowog weeps into a handkerchief.
X - Free Space. Write whatever you want.
Finally being rooted to spot, the intimacy between you two grows, with Hal being unabashedly touchy, wrapping his arm around your waist or gripping your knee or thigh, fingers stroking patterns into your skin.
The sex becomes more vulnerable too, with more eye contact and handholding.
It becomes pretty common for him to do some cockwarming, falling asleep inside you, nudging himself further inside you to get even closer or keeping you seated on him when you’re both relaxing on the couch. It definitely ends with him getting worked up again and going another round.
Y(earn) - How much do they miss their partner when they have to be away from home for a while? How do they react when they finally return home
He’s never quite content with the silence that comes with being a part from you, his thoughts drifting towards you more often than not. The type of think too hard about his last interaction with you and regrets not saying more, his goodbyes always rushed. Probably gets sentimental with a construct of you.
He holds you, when you do reunite, and doesn’t let go for a while.
Z(est) - Do they find domestic life boring or exciting? Do they regret choosing this kind of life
When he was younger, he honestly thought he would have issues with living the domestic life, but after the trials and tribulations he’s been through, he’s only grateful to wake up with you, to enjoy a boring, uneventful day with you, where there’s no threat or imminent destruction to worry about.
But, even if he’s old and wrinkly, he’s still sneaking off to the airfield to fly, dragging along either you or any child you two may have. Could see a scene where once he’s too old, it’s his child sneaking him onto a plane to fly.
Hal being confronted with his commitment issues and Carol wanting to marry him in GL 1990 and then becoming Parallax?? But going off the new 52 GL run where we get a glimpse of Halcarol growing old (will dc follow through?) and him carrying a ring in Flashpoint (before he blows up), he does eventually come around to the idea of settling down.
Also does anyone know if there is an elseworld or non main continuity Hal kid? Because so many other characters have non-canon or alt reality children, like injustice was handing them out (injustice🤢) and we got no cool Hal kid in Kingdom Come, like they literally took Helen from us, so I’d really like a story of a Halcarol child
Omg off topic but the reason we don’t get any Kyle or Wally in Kingdom Come (we get Alan and Jen) is because Alex Ross doesn’t like legacy characters lol! I think Hal wasn’t included because of Parallax, but rip Kyle, you got a possible future child in Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps ig…
(Hal Jordan x Blue Lantern Reader) Only because it’s his birthday.
You hear Hal groan above you, slowly and hopefully pleasantly waking up from his well earned slumber, and while you’d like to take a peak at his expression to see if you at least earned a surprised look, you continue pressing kisses and kitten licks against his member.
“Am I dreaming or did I, ah, happen to save a city in my sleep to deserve this kind of wakeup?” You feel a hand stroke your head, savouring the way his breath hitches when you press your tongue flat against him.
“I was going to wake you up at midnight, but I figured you needed the sleep,” you pull away, wiping your mouth as you meet his gaze. “Happy Birthday, Hal.”
“Definitely turning out to be a good day,” he comments, body stiffening when you take his tip into your mouth and start sucking.
“Fuck, your mouth—“ his voice breaks off into a moan when you pump your hand up and down his length. “Wait—“
You pull away, leaning back on your knees. You tilt your head at him. “Wait? Didn’t think that was a word in your vocabulary.”
“You’re going to make me finish embarrassingly fast,” he admits, chest heaving, “Almost makes me think you avoid sucking me off too much for that exact reason…”
“Maybe,” you look away, trying and failing at suppressing your smile, “But, hey, if it works…”
When you bring a hand to trail over his length, he grabs your wrist and stares at you beseechingly, “As much as I love that mouth, I really want to feel you right now.”
You make a show of considering it, “Well, you are the birthday boy.”
You shrug off the t-shirt you were wearing, a stupid souvenir shirt you took from Hal’s closet, tossing it behind you. You outstretch a hand and Hal entangles his fingers with yours. You quietly admire the sight of both of your rings on your respective ring fingers; blue and green, as it should be. Hal used to wear his on his middle finger before moving it over, the copy cat.
You crawl forward from his legs to his hips, hovering above him, your locked hands supporting you as you bring your other hand to align him against your sex before slowly sinking down with a shaky exhale.
“Fuuck, did you really get that wet just from sucking off lil old me?” Hal huffs with a twinkle in his eye as his free hand grips your hip as you slowly start to rock against him.
“I will leave,” you warn, ignoring the heat burning your face.
He breaths out a small laugh, his grip tightening, as he stares up at you with brown eyes soft enough in the morning light, you’d think they were melting like chocolate. “Shutting up now.”
You choke on a moan when his hand leaves your hips to plant itself against the bed, to push himself up so he can thrust up, quickly changing the pace to a faster one as your breath quickens.
“Atta girl, let me do the work,” Hal groans, grunting when you push against his shoulder, trying to match his speed.
“I’m supposed to,” you try to glare at him, breath coming out in small puffs, “be the one in c-control!”
He smirks at you, gaze still annoying warm, “You sure about that? I can feel your legs shaking…”
“I’m not…” you’re cut off when he quickly changes your position, rolling over so your back hits the mattress so he can pound into you. He presses a kiss against your forehead.
“‘S okay, you did so good for me, trying your hardest to ride me until you went sore,” he grunts, dominant hand catching yours in his grip, pinning it next to your head, rings glinting. “Let daddy take care of you…”
“D-don’t,” you moan, furrowing your brows, “call yourself that…”
He laughs, pressing his forehead against yours, as he brings a finger to rub your clit in taught circles, “You’re close…you can let go now.”
You scrunch your eyes closed, feeling a tremor in your thighs as your hips instinctively try to buck away from the stimulation.
“No, look at me…I want to watch you cum on my cock,” Hal grits out with a particularly sharp thrust, “Come on, open those eyes, baby. Yeah, there we go…don’t be shy, and—just let go.”
You fall apart with a cry, backing arching as he fuck you through your orgasm before finishing, thrusting deep as he can inside you.
You can feel your breaths mix as you both struggle to catch your bearings before he slowly pulls out of you, you shift at the wet feeling beneath you.
“Definitely the best present I could have ever asked for,” Hal laughs, nuzzling his check against your chest.
Your fingers threads itself into brown locks, you scratch against his scalp as he hums in contentment, “Better keep that to yourself, Barry and Ollie are competing to see whose gift you like better…and I’ll actually kill you if you trying bragging about this.”
He hums again, “We won’t be staying at the party too long, I want to take you flying tonight, and not with our rings.”
You laugh, “Seriously taking advantage of your birthday, I see. Alright, but I’m keeping my ring on.”
“You scared?”
“We’re going to sneak onto an airfield and fly…like a fighter plane or something,” you retort, “And most of what we do is fly, anyway.”
He lifts his head to meet your gaze with a casual certainty in his eyes as he shoots you a secretive smile, “You’ve never flown with me.”
happy belated bday to my husband, finally got this out…and I think any Hal fan should read Green Lantern Secret Files and Origins, a very short and easy read with a lot of hal insight.
Also Readallcomics is down?? Like I cannot go back to sites with those pop up ads…
Masterlist
Edit: I just realized they never make out, like at all, here?? Fear of morning breath ig???
hi can you make some headcanons about yandere green lanterns sharing a darling? (maybe some nsfw?) love your work!
Sharing is Caring
(Yandere Green Lanterns x Blue Lantern Reader) What would you even be without them?
When you became a Blue Lantern, you were whisked away to Odym, where you were fully initiated into the corps and entrusted with the the ring of hope. You’re not fully sure why you were chosen, but the opportunity was too good not to seize, especially seeing how beautiful Odym was. Maybe you were a bit self serving for a Blue Lantern, but the promise of adventure and sights unknown to the rest of humanity were more than enough to motivate you.
Of course, you quickly came to realize the cons that came with the job after you were ambushed by actual intergalactic mercenaries and were only able to use your ring to act defensively, until Hal Jordan shows up to rescue you. You’d never forget that moment for many reasons. It was the first time you truly thought you would die. It was also the first time you felt so assured and powerful at the Green Lantern’s appearance. With him around, you were truly strong.
And it looked like neither of you were in a rush to leave each other’s company. Hal was charming, offering to show a fellow Earthling the do’s and don’ts of space travel, regaling you with tales of his journey thus far, pulling more than a few laughs out of you. And you felt safe near him, at peace, even. Maybe you were a bit clingy due to the uncertainty of your surroundings, but Hal certainly didn’t mind, keeping a grip on your hand, to keep you steady as you two fly. Or at least that’s the reason he cited.
Hal was more than willing to let you tag along, showing you his favourite planets to visit, and praising you for your help with his own duties. You felt useful next to him. You liked when he would shoot you an easy grin, ruffling your hair after a job done well.
You meet Kyle soon after, running into him at some pub Hal liked to frequent. He seemed entranced with the mere sight of you until Hal pushes down on his head.
Kyle is nice, if not a bit quiet at first, staring at you with an intensity that had you pressing yourself against Hal in an attempt to hide. Hal laughs it off, saying Kyle is an artist.
You wonder if all artists seem so…sad. Maybe it was a result of your ring, but you could sense a certain grief in him.
So it feels right when you cradle his face in your hands, as carefully as you can, hoping your ring is able to emit the comfort you want to give him. Something that soothes the loneliness that’s so apparent.
When Hal is called back to Oa, Kyle insists he can watch over you and continue your adventure. Hal begrudgingly agrees, pulling you into an embrace as he gently kisses the skin under your eye, promising to be back before you know it.
While Hal always kept an arm slung over you or locked hands with you, Kyle seemed more hesitant, simply hovering over you, eyeing anyone that even steps in your vicinity, only touching you to steer you in a certain direction.
It isn’t until you settle in a shared room provided by the kingdom of a planet where you both worked as diplomats that he grows more confident and open in his affection. Wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling your body towards his, he teases you, asking if Hal ever got to share a bed with you, if anyone’s been this close to you before.
You meet Guy at his bar, Warriors, on Oa, being shown around by Hal and Kyle, both men pressing themselves against either side of your body as you enter. Guy almost instantly flirts with you in his usual self assured manner, softening at your wide eyed look. He compares you to Bambi, with your doe eyed look and hesitant steps. When Hal lightly jabs at him for already having a soft spot for you, he only confirms it, sending you a wink. He promises he’ll come up with a menu item named after you.
Although despite his quick fondness for you, he is after all Guy Gardner, always stepping into your space without care, manhandling you with a cocky grin, and more than willing to cuss out anyone that looks at you too long.
You meet John and Jessica soon after, both pitying you for having to be stuck with their more abrasive members. John takes it upon himself to check on you, making sure you’re not too overwhelmed while Jessica finds herself quickly growing attached, pressing you against her side and asking all kinds of questions about your interests, your childhood, your life on Earth, and so on.
All of them become much more protective when you and Saint Walker become the only ones that escape the destruction of the corps, with the latter giving up his ring. Kyle, who rescued you, takes you to discuss with the other Green Lanterns on whether you should keep the ring or not, before deciding the best place for you would be by their sides. And that anyone that came after you would most definitely regret it.
You’re never alone after that, a Lantern always pressed against you, whether you’re on Earth or not. Anyone that even approaches you is interrogated, and any threat is quickly taken care of.
You find your duties becoming less of you devoting yourself to the universe’s welfare and acting more as a personal cuddle buddy, always wrapped in the arms of one of them, as you sit perched on their laps.
If you try to bring this to their attention, they’ll only smile at you, patiently explaining that you’re utterly helpless without them and there are so many beings out there that would harm you in horrible ways just to get to them. Before you know it, Hal has you tucked in his bed, saying he’ll be back after he takes care of something. You’re quite literally warming his sheets.
Eventually, they grow bolder, locking lips with you at any chance, letting their hands run down your body, pinching and prodding, as they kissed and nipped at your neck.
They like taking care of you, so it’s pretty common to find yourself in Hal’s lap as Kyle presses his mouth against your sex, licking and sucking until you’re near tears.
Or for Guy to have you on your knees as he coos at how cute you are, looking up at him as you choke at his size.
And John bending you over when you ask to train, insisting you need to build up your endurance to keep up with them.
And you find yourself okay with this. Helping them in any way you can, whether it’s giving their rings a boost or letting them enjoy your warmth. You’re undeniably doing good, even when it’s just you letting them rut into you as they groan and praise you for being so good, their little Blue Lantern to love and dote on.
Blue Lantern Reader having to be bottom of the group to maintain peace LMAOO
Uhh rip to the other lanterns I did not include, my bad…
Let me give anon a kiss on the forehead for this request, you did good💙
(Yandere GL x Blue Lantern Reader) You two needed each other, that was an indisputable fact. And even if they went too far, you would be there to hold them back, running your fingers through their hair while gently soothing them. After all, it’s the least you can do as their Blue Lantern.
Hal Jordan:
Surprisingly romantic about the whole thing. While he was never a big believer of fate, there was something about the fact that you two humans were picked out by such complimentary rings to answer a higher calling. There was something that tied you two together.
Insists on sticking together, it’s just rational considering how your ring only runs on full power when in the presence of his, and that only means you do more good. He’s able to use his feats to convince the Guardians and Saint Walker to okay a more long term partnership between the two of you.
And you don’t protest. Your efficiency and chance of survival more than doubles with a Green Lantern with you, and Hal always makes sure you have the time to fulfill both your duties. And it’s nice being around him. It’s reassuring having someone always at your side. He makes you laugh, he always want to try new food with you while introducing you to some of his favourites, he loves to take you to fly after sneaking you into the airfield, he adores you.
And you find yourself returning his feelings. He convinces you to move in quickly after that, citing it makes more sense to split rent if you two are going to constantly be off world. Things are good with Hal. Sure he can get jealous, but as a Blue Lantern you do a good job at calming him down and tempering his anger. Even if he’s the stubborn type to never take ‘no’ as an answer, you at least have the ability to soften him to see reason.
When the rest of the Blue Lantern corps are slaughtered, he becomes increasingly overprotective. He urges you to keep your ring, that you two will be able to handle any enemy as long as you stick together. You only need to boost his ring and he’ll take care of the rest while you sit there and look pretty.
Refuses to leave your side, your ring only works defensively without him, it would be a death sentence if you two were to part. Wherever you go, he follows. And if you’re worried about your ring diminishing too much of the emotional spectrum, then he’ll just take care of some other ring wielders to even it out.
So you two continue as lanterns, his anger bubbling until you wash it away with kisses that trail down until he’s groaning and sighing, as is clockwork. You admittedly have a symbiotic relationship, but you’ve always been a pragmatist. You two belong together, just like your rings do.
“So good for me,” Hal breathes out looking down at you, before throwing his head back with a breathy moan when you hum against him, licking up his length. “You take such good care of me…because that’s, ah, what we do for each other. And I’d, fuck, I’d kill anyone that even looks at you.”
Kyle Rayner
Even if he spent a short time as a Blue Lantern, sometimes he struggles with mustering up the faith to enact his will. It’s why he liked being around you. You, more than him, embodied hope, in every word and action. He honestly puts you on a pedestal. You’re just so…good. You could do no wrong in his eyes. And he feels even more protective if you’re the only current Blue Lantern around after the corps was massacred.
He lets you choose where you two go outside of missions. He could care less about ever setting foot on Earth again if you’re not there. Visiting planets overgrown by nature, covered with flora so unlike the ones you’re familiar with, or planets so developed and metropolitan they put Metropolis to shame, he wants to see everything there is, as long as you’re by his side.
And if you ever choose to take off on your own, don’t be surprised to run into him, feigning surprise and suggesting you two stick together if you’re going to be in the same place anyway. Kyle may come off as agreeable to your whims, but he is more than willing to push at your boundaries if you intend to leave his sight or endanger yourself.
And can you blame him? He’s already lost so much and he’s so alone, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself if something happened to you, especially with all the enemies with a vendetta against him for being a Green Lantern. Ones that would kill you to just to get to him. Ones you couldn’t hope to win against without him at your side.
He’s always starting at you, sometimes with a dopey, love sick grin, other times he’s just silently observing you, noting every detail, whether it’s a beauty mark or a scratch, he’ll always notice. Eventually, you’re all he’s drawing, until he’s losing sleep because he wants to make sure even a quick sketch really captures you.
While he isn’t the violent type, preferring to whisk you away from smaller annoyances and conflicts, he is more than willing to fight for your sake against any threat, becoming increasingly erratic at the thought of you being harmed. Might even dissociate, only snapping back to reality when you’re pulling him away from a mess of red.
Might create constructs of you in the rare event you two are apart, most likely because of Oa business or if he’s watching you far afar, tracing his fingers over the green countenance that mimics yours. Hopefully, you don’t leave him too pent up because things might get laughably pathetic for him otherwise.
“You feel so…good,” Kyle nearly whimpers the first time he enters you, entranced in the way you clench around him as you stare up at him dazed, only thinking about him as he fills you so well. “So beautiful, so pretty, fuck, you’re so, so perfect.”
Jessica Cruz:
She spent years as a shut in after her friends were murdered in front of her, do not underestimate how much that still affects her even with the ring. Is hit with bouts of paranoia and overthinking if you mention going off on your own, even if you’re together she doubts her ability to keep you safe.
But at the same time, with you at her side, she feels more assured than ever. Doubts and anxiety seem to leave her when you’re near, your mere presence enough to reassure and motivate her to keep going. She only hopes she can do the same for you, even if it’s just because her ring is able to aid yours.
Very clingy, always holding hands with you or pressing her shoulders and hips against yours. Befriends your friends very quickly, not that you mind considering how isolated she once was. If you ever insist on some alone time or going out without her, she guilts you pretty easily. And against her survivors guilt and trauma, it will be hard to say no to her in general.
Mostly convinces you to stay home with her or go camping when you’re not working or in space. She prefers the quiet and having you to herself. She teaches you a lot about the wilderness and basic survival techniques. Definitely loves quality time.
Might become the most noticeably codependent, and if other concerned Lanterns or heroes brought it up to her, encouraging her to branch out more, she would become defensive. After all, the purpose of your ring is to assist hers. And she needs you, more than Hal, John, or anyone else from the corps. Hasn’t she been alone enough already?
Becomes terrified if you’re the last Blue Lantern around, and might even encourage you to give up the ring if it puts a target on your back. Might regress to her shut in tendencies if you don’t put your foot down.
Refuses to let you out of her sight if you’re able to convince her that you’ll be fine, becoming your personal guard dog, even when you’re using the washroom.
Sometimes you feel like Jessica wants to drown you, pressing all her weight against yours, until the only thing that that you can see and smell is her, her mouth hot against your skin as she follows a path from your chest to your tummy, “I always worry about you, whether you’re okay or some psycho got their hands on you, I know people think I’m too much, but I’d be nothing without you.” She admits, tone somber as if her fingers weren’t tracing over your sex.
Yes, Blue Lanterns just scream enabler to me LMAO wdym you’re so broken with a green lantern but virtually useless without one, like yeah I’d be clinging to Hal, I don’t want to die😭
The title font is killing me, like the only thing I see is ‘⛓️⛓️🥀🥀’, I should not be trusted with font generators lol! And yes, I’m a Cloak and Dagger main in Marvel Rivals
