Writing prompt: Days before Will goes missing in 83, at the very start of the school year, Steve Harrington has had enough with Tommy Hagan and Carol Perkins. He realizes just how lonely it was at the top. Meeting Jonathan first and making a real connection with him then making a real connection with Nancy, the three of them start hanging out at Steve's house on nights Nancy and Jonathan's brothers have D&D. It eventually leads to Nancy and Jonathan losing their virginities to Steve on the very same night. With Nancy spending more time with them, still recognizing Nancy as her best friend and realizing they can't always do everything together, Barb makes a connection of her own with her old friend Robin Buckley.
