You people can claim that Tumblr is better than Twitter, but let's get one thing straight: If Matthew Mullenweg had money to burn and influence to flex, we'd be going through the exact same thing that Twitter is going through. The only thing keeping that man from being fully open about his moral beliefs and desires for this site is the knowledge that doing so while the current user base is dominant would kill the site and put his company so far in debt that his great-great-grandchildren wouldn't even be able to get a loan.

okay so... i got a liiiiiittle hyperfixated today, and ended up making that font idea from yesterday into something usable and polished.

this is v2.8 of the design (yes i went through a bunch of design iterations already shh), and ill probably end up expanding the list of characters when i start on version 3.

and huge shoutout to: YellowAfterLife who made PixelFontConverter MortMort who made an incredibly useful tutorial for creating pixel fonts

fanon autism: wow im so smart but i cant talk to people but im a math genius. i can hear like a bat but i have no friends :( i wish there was a cure for autism, my DISEASE... all i do is annoy my friends but trust me im endearing... because im useful! canon autism: i was late to school/work today because i put on a shirt but it had a kind of weird tag so i tore through five shirts before finding one without it, then i made breakfast before remembering i hate the texture of eggs, so now these are going to go to waste, but if I throw this away I’ll die, but I can’t physically eat it, so I guess I’ll save it in the fridge forever, but when I got out the door I noticed it was too cold for me to be okay out here, so i went inside to get my jacket, but it was really heavy and the texture hurt so i took it off in the car then put it back on after i got out of the car then didn’t wear it rest of the day fanon adhd: im so quirky and fun, i love doing quirky things like theatre and history :) i sometimes wanna impulsively do things like talk a lot :0.... im not like other girls!!!! canon adhd: my intrusive thoughts make me want to shit on tables jump on things and cry ALL THE TIME but thats okay because i have work to hyperfixate on now if only i can oh no my brain said no. but i really have to so i guess ill try to power through it-- oh no i zoned out all day i guess ill just pick it up tomorrow. i had medicine to take this morning right? dang it i guess i forgot. oh no i also forgot my jacket, backpack, art, phone, and medicine all in different places. I looked for all of these things and found the remote I lost last year but not these things. guess I’ll give up and take my sleeping drugs. oh no my sleeping drugs didn’t work I didn’t sleep all night. guess I’ll pace around the house-- oh THERE’S my things! all in the same room? what?

We are all going through some mighty tough times together right now. And I am sure we are equally riding a whole bunch of emotional roller coasters too. Now more than ever we need to be considerate of one another. Be kind, be friendly. Even if a loved one seems angry. We don’t really know how they’re feeling until you ask. With the majority of us away from family and friends, having so much time to ourselves and our thoughts can sometimes be too much time. As important as it is to be there for one another, you can’t forget about yourself! Ask yourself how you’re feeling, why you’re feeling. If you know why you feel good, and what makes you feel bad, you’ll know what will make you thrive. Awareness is the key! Think of it like a florist taking care of an orchid. If they plant the orchid in regular soil, the plant will eventually find living unbearable and suffocate. Thankfully, this florist took notice of her gloomy-looking plant-friend and found what it was feeling, needing. All it took was a small change in soil type and the orchid flourished and bloomed beautifully! Much like the orchid, you also need the right stuff to keep you growing healthy and strong. Although everyone is different, we all share the same feelings. You’d be surprised how many people feel the same way. Just ask :)

Friday Free Font 124

Kris from WildOnesFoundry wrote us to represent their new free font Arber. Arber vintage font was made by Krisjanis Mezulis. It features a brush made feel and look. Every single letter has been hand drawn with a thin water brush on acrylic paper, this making the typeface unique. After that, it was scanned and put together as a font. The font suits best big headlines, logos and posters.
