I decided to switch from a bullet journal system to a planner in 2020 because having to create layouts every month, even with a very minimalistic bujo, took too much time and creativity that I don’t have.
I found the perfect planner last time I went to Muji and the best part was that it was 30% off. We love a bargain.

Ahhh this is the last post with the "old" summer-y theme! Can you tell I'm excited for autumn? 🍁🍁🍁

I have something exciting (but not so excited for me because I'm already stressed) to share.
I have a class on Media Fandom and Digital Cultures and my final research paper is a case study on Hamilton: an American musical and its Fandom. In theory it's the perfect case study, in reality I'm procrastinating because I have no idea where to start 😂
But anyway, it's my favourite class in this whole master's degree and I now have found a new passion for an academic field. I never even thought about going into the field but now I'm intrigued about the endless research possibilities
🔸 August Wrap-up 🌸
This month was a great reading month! I don’t know how but, somehow, I managed to read 11 books. 9 physical, 1 ebook/audiobook and 1 ARC.
Here are the stats:
Vox by Christina Dalcher: 3.5 stars. It was good but I expected more.
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli: 5 stars. This is the kind of book that makes your heart warm and, overall, just puts you in a good mood.
Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker and Wendy Xu: 4 stars. The perfect graphic novel for the autumn. It was cute and magical.
City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare: 3 stars. Better than City of Bones but not quite there yet.
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren: 3 stars. I was a bit disappointed with the basic romance and common tragic background story.
Stardust by Neil Gaiman: 4 stars. This was magical and so whimsical. I listened to the audiobook, which is narrated by Neil Gaiman and so recommend!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas: 4 stars. This was a reread.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas: 5 stars. Again, reread, And this is my baby for eternity. I love this book with all my heart.
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas: 5 stars. Reread. A great conclusion to this “trilogy”. SJM sure knows how to write battle scenes.
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas: 3 stars. Reread. And I actually lowered my rating from a 4 to a 3 because this was good but in a fanfiction kind of way good; it had no plot.
On the Come Up by Angie Thomas: 5 stars. I have raved about this book at any opportunity I have. It was incredible.
My favourites of the month definitely were The Upside of Unrequited and On the Come Up. An honorable mention has to be given to Stardust by Neil Gaiman because the audiobook was 5 stars and, if any of you are planning on reading the book, I recommend listening to the audiobook!
Hi lovelies 🌺
I guess I have a theme going on in my life. Flowers and plants.
Heartless' cover fits my aesthetic but I have yet to read it. Although Alice in Wonderland is far from being my favourite story, when I saw that this was a retelling of the Queen of Hearts' story, I was intrigued.
#qotd: What are your thoughts on villain stories? And do you have a favourite morally grey character or villain?
