Happy belated Borovan Day!

Here's a redo on the official Neopets recipe.

I decided to nix the broth, cooking the asparagus directly in the milk. I opted for a more decadent hot chocolate.

A little more asparagus flavor at 4 spears.

Ingredients

1 c milk

4 to 6 asparagus spears

1/4 c chocolate chips

2 TBS cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp corn starch

Pinch of salt

1/2 tsp amaro

Recipe

In a small sauce pan, simmer milk and asparagus. Remove from heat and strain. Use asparagus for garnish.

In a sauce pan, put the chocolate, cocoa powder, cornstarch.

Add a quarter cup of the asparagus milk. Whisk until you make a thick paste.

Add remaining milk and amaro. Whisk on low heat until it begins to thicken.

Serve with an asparagus spear.
