"Ahh!" I shriek after I accidentally burned my finger on the pan I was cooking the eggs with.

A few moments later, I hear boyfriend!renjun clambering noisily down the stairs. I turn to look at Renjun calmly as I run my hand under cold water then turn it off.

I start laughing at his disheveled, fresh out of bed look with wide eyes and his hair sticking up and flat in other places.

"What happened?" he scowled at me, thinking back on why I screamed earlier.

"Nothing much. I just burned my finger a little bit," I shut the refrigerator after briefly applying mustard to the burn. "See?"

Renjun's eyes soften as he sees me wiggle my fingers in front of his face. He suddenly takes my hand in his and kisses the slightly red spot on my index finger.

At that very moment I thought about how sweet he really was and how I was so lucky to have him in my life.

"Ugh that mustard is disgusting!" Renjun grimaced and he walked toward the fridge to get water, leaving me open-mouthed at our ruined moment.

“renjun,” you speak up musingly as he parks the rental car somewhere you were quite sure parking was illegal. “mm,” your boyfriend hums back, “why?”

“d’you ever have any idea what’s going to happen to us in the future?”

“oh, heck no. for all i know, we could break up tomorrow- not that i want to, obviously,” renjun pauses his searching through the boot of the car momentarily to look up at you, “but, you know, we have to live in the moment. live life to the fullest when we can.” he smiles, “and you know what, y/n? i really, really like you a lot. you make me really happy, and even if we do break up in the future, or things don’t work out, you’ll always be one of my most beautiful memories. for now, let’s just enjoy each other’s company and appreciate the time we have.”

you can’t stop the smile taking over your face. suddenly thinking of something, he frowns again, “wait, y/n.” you arch an eyebrow at the boy who’d just ruined your very fond thoughts of him. “you’re not breaking up with me, are you?”

“not in a million years.”

“great!” renjun shoves a pair of roller skates into your arms with a beam, “put these on and let’s go!”

“what are these?”

he scoffs with a roll of his eyes, “roller skates, obviously.”

“yeah, i- okay, yes, whatever, let’s go.”

“pictures first!” renjun snaps a quick selfie and a picture of you leaning against the car, both of which looked unfairly and effortlessly aesthetic, “gotta flaunt my vacation with my awesome girlfriend on instagram so the rest of the world can see, huh? what should the caption be?”

“you’re better at these things than i am, don’t even bother asking me,” you promptly slip and only narrowly miss close contact with the floor because renjun grabs your hand with his left, his right not stopping the typing on his phone. 

renjun grins his bedazzling, radiant smile at you. “got it. we just wanna have fun. ‘cause we hot and we young.”

[03:46 am] The sound of raindrops falling from the gray clouds above echoes through your apartment. The feelings of loneliness and homesickness fills the big hole in your heart and it was suffocating. Your head was full of countless thoughts, all you could think about is your home and the people you love seeing. Your life in Korea wasn’t all bad, there are many memories you were able to make that is full of laughter and smiles.However, times like these just reminds you of your hometown and the people you met and left there. 

You stare out of the window, the blinking lights from within the buildings look like stars from your apartment. There weren’t many cars driving either in the heavy rain. Every rainy day in Korea easily reminds you of your hometown since it was quite rainy there as well. You would often play in the rain with your friends or jump into puddles with them as well. The heavy rain only made your homesickness worst and leave a heavy feeling in your heart.

Boyfriend!Renjun feels the empty spot beside him and immediately thinks of your whereabouts. He gets up from your shared bed and makes his way to the living room where you are. The sounds of the heavy rain from outside were the only audible thing throughout the whole apartment. His messy peach pink hair was obvious, although the lights weren’t on at all. He steps into the living room, seeing your sad state just sitting on the couch. 

“Love, is there something wrong?” Renjun softly asks as he makes his way towards you. He sits down beside you, staring at you whilst you stare at the heavy rain.

“I feel so homesick, Renjun. I want to see my family, play in the rain with my friends, eat my country’s dishes with them. I miss them so much, Renjun and it’s suffocating me.” You say, your eyes full of tears that you were fighting from falling. 

Renjun's heart shatters at your state. He moves closer to you and pulls you into his embrace. His warmth hugs your body, making the tears you were holding fall from your eyes. Your tears dampens his shirt as he holds you closely to him. He knows how you felt, he also gets homesick often. He misses having breakfast with his family, laughing and playing along with them. Don’t even get him started about his family getting all excited when they see you with him.

“It’s okay, love. We all feel homesick at times as well. I know how you feel very well and I know it could be suffocating. Just know that I am here for you, always.” Renjun kisses your tears away before cuddling you. 

Your homesickness slowly going away, being replaced with sleepiness instead. The warmth embrace and lovely cuddles from Renjun made you smile. Although, you feel homesick, ypu couldn’t deny the fact that Renjun is your home as well.

"yesterday was valentine's day, did you know?" boyfriend! renjun asks, stopping his actions of kissing your forehead to look into your eyes, searching for the answer before you can even give him one

"nope, i completely forgot" you say honestly, giggles threatening to escape your lips at his sudden and silly question, and your equally silly answer "are you disappointed i didn't get you chocolates?"

"nope" his lips press onto yours "you're sweeter than any candy i could ever wish for"

[8:17PM] "Where are we going?" You giggled while asking the said question. Boyfriend!Renjun had covered your eyes ever since you arrived and you had no idea where you were. "You will see soon," just a few more steps forward until he removed his hands from your eyes.

You gasped in awe as you could see the sunset reflecting from the ocean, giving you a nice aurora view in front of a table with candles and food, which was perfectly placed in the middle of the beach. "Oh my God, it's so beautiful! When did you plan this?" Before he answered you, he gave you a small kiss on the cheeks and then on your lips.

"Doesn't matter, let's eat, shall we?" He extended his hand towards you and you took it gracefully. Renjun led you to your seat and being the gentleman he is, he moved your chair for you as well. "Do you like it?"

"Are you kidding? I love it! It's perfect," you exclaimed, the excitement obvious in your voice. "And that you're here with me, makes it even more perfect."

"I'd do everything for my missing puzzle piece."

"I love you"

"I love you, too"

(6:59) "Do you think this is right? I mean I don't hate it but is not the best thing i´ve done" You were hesitant with the drawing you'd just finished, you really wanted to find things to do and sleeping all day wasn't an option.

"It looks amazing, I love it" your boyfriend!Renjun tried to cheer you up a little. Is true, it wasn't your best work, but he still loved it. "You sure?" you tried moving the paper to see if from another perspective it looked better. "I'm sure, I may not know what it is but I still like it, you did it, so is art" a playful punch arrived his arm as you looked over your shoulder to see what your boyfriend seated behind you was drawing, a beautiful portrait of your side profile.

"Ugh, I give up" you laid on your back against your boyfriend's chest and placed your head on his left shoulder facing the ceiling. Just a little peck in your cheek was enough for you to stop sulking. "Okay yes, you may not be the best at drawing, but I'm 110% sure you give the best and warmest hugs in the entire world" he left the art supplies aside in the bed to finally hug you so well, to relax you enough to want to sleep warm, knowing you were loved and had the sweetest boyfriend you could ever ask for.
