[treason-and-plot]

About fifty years ago I mentioned to @braxensims​ that I wanted to create an airport scene in my Sims game inspired by a New Yorker cover drawn by Adrian Tomine, below, and the pictures above are the result. It was a lot of fun, and I’m super stoked that I can cross another project off my list that I procrastinated over for far too long! Tomorrow I’m going to try and tackle my asks. Go me!

Glad to see you back! And I really couldn't see you giving up a project you've started. The more trouble it caused you, the more determined your attempts would be. 🤭 All the "necessary" things you've felt the urge to create for your story. I love that! 😘

Haha! And you haven’t even seen the golf course yet 😁 I’m pretty stubborn about those things I decide I want/need for my story but I do get such a kick out of it when it all comes together!

And because it always feels odd to post without a picture, here’s another sneak preview.

The idea of my very own Roller-skating Radio Raheim (except he’s called Randy as he’s nothing like the character from Do The Right Thing) was one of the main reasons I went ahead and created the beach once I’d conceived of the scene there lo these many years ago.

Honestly, it’s the little things in the game that make it for me. Details such as this adorable cuddle action are among the hundreds of little things that keep me playing :)

I have my opinions about Sims 4 and while I love a lot of the little things like their decor catalog and Build mode, based on what I’ve seen and read from many other simmers TS4 seems to lack enough gameplay to keep people interested.. But this is solely my opinion based on other’s reviews that I’ve seen or read.

When it comes to the pigeons, distance makes the view look fonder :P

They pretty much are very blocky but I’m fond of those little opportunistic flying poo machines both IRL and in the game, so I tried my best to show them on their good side. Lol

For the metro, do you use EA's thingie, or the rug? I used to use EA's when I made underground stations, but the rug makes it a lot easier. Takes up less room, and no more cheats.

Yep, I use the EA subways. As big and ugly as they are, they work better for me. I found since I edited Retuner to make sims walk more, they used the subways more. I just hide them in the basements or cover them up. I used to use the rabbithole rugs but they caused so many routing problems. I made a post about it on the old NRaas site, I wish I could find it.

This is awesome! I like how you used those half-walls. I usually use pocci's glass walls, but this is a better idea.

Thank you! Oh I love Pocci’s half walls but these EA half walls looked better at the counter and around the PCs :)

Hi @desiree-uk​, love the bank! I was working on something very similar for Boroughsburg but paused my personal builds to help @potato-ballad-sims​ complete the final world release. Any-who, my question is where did you get the piggy banks and chest boxes, and how do you store the money bags for individual sims in the building and remember what belongs to whom?

Thank you :)  I'd love to see how you build your bank! The piggy banks are from the Little Treasures set from Lily Of The Valley and the smaller one is from DOT at TSR. Another one you could use is this one. I script them all with Treeag’s storage script so you can label them. The chest boxes are from Treeag too! I use Treeag’s Misc storage boxes for their manual accounts, label them with the sims names or household name, type of account and a number, then keep them in a room/vault upstairs, colour coded (blue for savings accounts, red for business accounts, white for trust funds etc) then keep track of them using a PIM software that is opened next to the game when I play, but you can use any text software to keep notes :) I’ll show some screenshots of the boxes in the vault soon :) Ha, I’m so geeky! lol

Wow, I pity the guy taking the swan dive there. I've heard of polar bear clubs, but this is ridiculous. :)
