In 2022 Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School (yes, that school) lost its six year old OFSTED rating of ‘outstanding’, falling all the way down to ‘inadequate’. In the report there are several instances mentioned of sexual harassment, racism, misogyny and homophobia. In recent years it has become the worst rated school in the whole of Rossendale.

I remember when the report dropped, it was all over the local news. It was sad but I can’t say I was surprised. Out of all the grammar schools for miles, it was always talked about in a really bad taste; probably the worst.

Phil mentioned that he had a great time when he attended school there and that is something that I’m so happy about. However it’s such a shame what it has become, with recent past students saying that their school experience traumatised them.

my sister wanted to know the famous people i went to school with apart from danny in rixton and amazingphil, so i said there was this supermodel called agyness deyn (or gayness deny, thank you autocorrect). she googled her and apparently this chick is the highest paid model of 2015, not the stunning VS angel that can literally be used as a homing beacon in Midtown NYC and is pretty much touring with Taylor Swift.

The teachers from my old school made their own version of What Does The Fox Say? for the current year 13's leaver's day. It is awkward and hilarious and now I miss BRGS more than anything in the world.
