Ik I love Apple a Lot and draw her the most, but Briar Beauty is actually my fav EAH character, because I am so attached to the hc that she has narcolepsy.
I know it's her fairytale to be sleeping beauty and stuff, but like there is soooo few characters in media that have narcolepsy, let alone represent how I feel about my narcolepsy. Briar feels about her fairytale and fate to sleep 100 years EXACTLY how I feel about my narcolepsy, and even though it's very serious and distressing to her, people around her make light of it so often which has also been my experience.
Like the idea of sleeping her life away, of missing out on experiences with those she's cares about most, of her sleeping through important events at school she really wanted to participate in but couldn't because she was sleeping... it's so relatable and means SO much to me.
And even though people around her may poke fun at her fate, the narrative takes it seriously and she's a fully fledged character outside of sleeping! She loves partying and her friends, she's smart and sassy and slay, she is capable of having fun and having deep and meaningful conversations, shes pretty and popular, she struggles with the attachment to her royal identity and hating the fate she's supposed to fulfill. I love all of it!!!! She means so much to me UGH
