I was tagged by @eveningspirit to basically share anything I’ve got going. Not pictured are the current work revisions I’ve got going on a rejected paper and a small group review. (Yell at me to get these done! Tell me I’m not allowed to fic until I finish my manuscripts.)
Today’s WIP is from the last chapter of A boy will touch the hem of His robes, which is going to be Whitaker focused… in an attempt to give some comfort to his story, too. IDK. I’m trying to finish to post on Saturday. Mostly just need to write the ending for the whole ass “let’s whump Trinity” story and by the way, I also made things bad for Whitaker. IDK.
She lets Dennis make dinner (she makes Dennis cook) and he does chicken with lemons and capers and rice. Andi leans over when Dennis starts to make plates, and she rescues the chicken breasts before cutting them into thin strips. Andy produces a fork from somewhere, replacing the one Dennis set the table with. (Trinity and Dennis don’t always sit down to eat at the table, and they rarely use actual napkins, but Trinity supports any effort on Dennis’ part to show his family that he’s okay without them. Even if it means digging out placemats and napkins and lighting candles.) Trinity goes to pour drinks, and pauses a moment to ask what people want. She’s got… water, coffee; tea, that beer Robby mocks Whitaker about, beer Robby would definitely also mock Whitaker about if he knew Dennis was drinking a it, the $8-est bottle of Chardonnay at Giant Eagle, or orange juice.
Andy makes some comment about milk, and Dennis flips him the bird.
I’m tagging @midnighttana. @my-dress-is-on-fire, @thelittleredheadedmusician (show us your finer arts?), @dabblingreturns (show us your spinning?), and @paperclips37, if they’re so inclined.
