How to spend your day off: A guide by Evan Buckley
wc: 3,107
Eddie Diaz should have expected this. He prides himself in always having expected what might happen in certain circumstances so he should have known this. It was an offhand comment on how Eddie loved clipboard Buck. He loved every form of Buck but clipboard Buck awakened a part of him that he thought no longer ruled over him. It was Maddie and Chimney's wedding night and after Buck had meticulously completed his work as the maid of honor with a proper clipboard to make sure that nothing was missed, Eddie just made a small comment on how he'd love it if Buck ever brought one to their bedroom.
That was it, that should've been the end of it. Frankly speaking Eddie didn't even expect Buck to have heard that stupid comment. He definitely didn't expect coming home on their weekend off after dropping Chris off to a sleepover to find his boyfriend holding yet another clipboard 'On how to spend your day off'
Or the one where Buck and Eddie have sex

Anyway, I wrote this from the perspective of Eddie post season 4, kind of in this past half season idk. Its kinda funny cause i wrote it before the midseason finale but it kind of fits anyway. I hope you like!
In true me fashion, I forgot about Buddie Week. But don't worry friends I'm working on a few fun things. Anyways go give your faves a kudos, comment, or a reblog or else Eddie's gonna point his finger at you.
They’re all out on the front porch when Maddie goes “there he is,” and Buck knows he’s in trouble as everyone’s head pretty comically whip around to stare at the truck pulling into the drive across the way. “Eddie.”
And okay, maybe Buck’s talked about his cute neighbor a little (a lot) lately.
Prompt: “Oh no...he’s cute” + fluff

Notes: Title is from Take Me Home Tonight by Eddie Money
Buck’s new house is a small two bedroom with a creaky front porch step and a need of a few renovations, but he loves it because it’s his, something bought with money he earned and saved. He’s been in the house for three weeks, and even though the gang helped him move things in and Maddie’s been over quite a few times, tonight’s housewarming party was the first time he officially had guests, and he’s ridiculously excited to show off what progress he’s made.
And maybe he’s told Hen how dreamy Eddie is, and maybe he’s told Bobby about sweet Eddie’s son Christopher was and maybe, just maybe, he’s gushed to Maddie about the homemade cookies Eddie and Chris brought him his first night (as he ate like six of them, because why shouldn’t he eat the welcome to the neighborhood cookies Chris happened to make with his Abuela?) And maybe he has a crush; he can admit to that, alright? And maybe the whole team knows because Buck just can’t keep anything to his own self.
So basically, it means everyone is looking at Eddie as he gets out of his truck, and Buck flushes about the color of a tomato when he hears Hen say, “Oh no…” under her breath just as Chim says “he’s cute” loudly and damn it, did Eddie hear that? Or is he looking over at Buck’s house because so many people are on the porch?
No, he’s smirking, god damn it, as he raises his hand in a wave, a smirk that turns into a wicked grin when Buck automatically waves back.
“Buckaroo, please tell me you’re going to be hitting that soon?”
“Jesus, Chimney, can you be quiet?” Buck yelps, daring a glance back to Eddie, and he’s...he’s blushing. Buck is mortified.
“What? I’m just saying, the neighbor’s hot. There is sexual tension, Buck; we can all tell, and we’ve seen him for about five seconds. You haven’t been with anyone since what, Abby? Maybe it’s time to take that leap again.”
He looks at Eddie again, and he’s...rueful, maybe, considering. He gives Buck one last, warm smile before he heads inside, and maybe Buck’s not the only one with a crush? Maybe he’s not the only one who wants?
When he turns back to Chim, his friend raises an eyebrow and grins. So Buck’s friends are terrible. But sometimes...sometimes they aren’t.
He sees the last of them out by ten, and while it was so great to have his friends-his family-there, it’s also nice to be alone again. He’s cleaning up the last of the dishes when he hears the knock, and he nearly ignores it, but it comes again, more insistent, so he leaves the dishes to soak in the sink (a farmhouse sink-one of his first improvements!) and goes to answer the door.
Eddie’s standing on his front porch, nervous, hands pushed into his pockets. He’s wearing a well-worn pair of sweats and t-shirt, like he was getting comfortable for the night (and Jesus, Buck doesn’t need to think about Eddie getting comfortable at night, because thinking about Eddie in bed with Eddie in front of him is definitely a no-go zone for Buck’s body), but his face lights up with a smile when Buck opens the door. “Hey, Buck.”
“Hey, Eddie. Everything okay?”
“Um...yeah. I’m about to do something, before I lose my nerve, and please just don’t...don’t hate me.”
Buck raises an eyebrow, but then Eddie is there, hands cupping Buck’s face as he pulls him into a kiss. At first, it’s just that, a kiss, a press of lips and the warmth of Eddie’s hands against his skin, and it takes a second for Buck’s brain to figure out what’s going on, what this means. Eddie’s starting to pull away, and Buck’s hands immediately tangle in his shirt, keeping him close, and his lips part, deepening the kiss.
He doesn’t know how long they stand on his front porch, but he revels in the kiss, because it’s everything he’s wanted since he met Eddie. But eventually, they part, breathing hard, and Eddie’s grin is back. “So, uh...I take it you don’t hate me?”
Buck smiles, shaking his head. “I’ve...I’m pretty sure all my friends are getting pretty sick of hearing me talk about you. I’ve kinda wanted to kiss you since I moved in. I thought maybe after a date and all, but this is good, too.”
“We could have breakfast in the morning?” Eddie murmurs, glancing past Buck into his dark house, and...is Eddie offering what Buck thinks he is?
“Is this-”
“Buck, I’ve wanted to get your clothes off you since I saw you with the moving van, so yes, this is me wanting to sleep with you and take you to breakfast in the morning.”
Buck can’t grab the front of Eddie’s t-shirt (and how long has he had this shirt, for it to be as soft as it is?) and pull him into his house fast enough.
They have breakfast in the morning.
And Buck goes to Eddie and Chris’ for dinner.
And he keeps going over, and they keep coming to his house.
And one day, nearly a year later, Buck’s house becomes their home.
Forgive me for my english. It isn’t perfect, but I tried my best XD.
It is for the Buddie PWP Week 2020.
Enjoy!
This year is going to be different. Everything has changed. The lawsuit was just a stupid prank and luckily no one was angry anymore. I spent the previous Halloween handing out candies, but today I will not do it as a punishment, but with pleasure. Bobby forgave me.
~*~
The fire station was decorated better and better every year. Each subsequent holiday causes more decorations and it is rarely so colorful here. Halloween is no exception. The amount of artificial spider webs, ghosts cut out of paper and gutted pumpkins were overwhelming. Of course, we were all on duty, so we couldn't afford fancy clothes, but that didn't diminish our enthusiasm for celebrating this holiday. The kids kept coming to the fire station for a handful of candies. May and Harry came to say hello with Athena, who was also on duty that night. May decided to dress up as a doctor, and Harry was wearing a Batman suit. Bobby said hello to his family, and I stuffed a pile of sweets into their bags. But I was most happy when Carla came with Chris. Eddie and I both ran up to him to hug him with all our might. The boy immediately began to giggle with joy. This year he decided to be a firefighter like his dad. Henry and Karen also couldn't help but say hello. We were all complete now, but unfortunately it didn't last long. An alarm interrupted the party and we had to go for another call. Athena left in front of us because she got the same signal. Leaving the kids in the care of Carla and Karen, we left into a dark night.
~*~
The call turned out to be not as serious as I feared. On Halloween, people are capable of any weirdness. Fortunately not this time. We returned to the fire station two hours later, because there was more cleaning and when the cars finally stopped we were able to enjoy the company of our families again. Even though it was late, the kids probably had sugar in their heads, because they were more aroused than before. The bowls on the table prepared for the other guests were practically empty. Apart from them, the reflections and small gadgets that we always give away have also disappeared. I quickly started replenishing supplies while no one was around.
– There you are. I've been looking for you everywhere. – I heard a familiar low voice behind me and moments later, strong arms wrapped around me from behind.
– I wasn't going to hide anywhere. – I replied without stopping adding candies.
– Yeah, but you disappeared so quickly after you got out of the car. I was afraid that something had happened to you. – the hug became tighter and I was able to feel his hot breath against my neck.
– I'm fine. I saw that the bowls were empty so I came to refill them. Don't say you missed me in such a short time. – I turned to him and looked deep into his eyes. The fond smile never leaving my face.
– Maybe. For future notice don't suddenly run out as if something was on fire. – I knew that Eddie was trying to be nonchalant and romantic at the same time, but I couldn't help but laugh after hearing such a pun.
– Seriously? What if it really was on fire? Then what?
– Then I'd run right behind you. It's rather obvious. – Eddie pulled me closer to him. His hands wandered along my spine, and his lips brushed my neck.
– Eddie ... Not here. We're in the open. Somebody’s gonna see us. – I tried to control the tremors I felt all over my body.
– Then let's go to a more secluded place. – Eddie pulled me towards the changing room.
It wasn't the safest place, because someone could come in at any moment, but if we can make it quick, it should be fine.
The glass door slammed shut behind us and we went into the showers. As soon as we were out of sight, Eddie's body pressed me against the nearest wall. His mouth found mine at once, his hands sliding down my uniform shirt, looking for the first buttons. We didn't need any words. We've known each other for so long, that finding the other's weak points was easy.
The harnesses of the belts have been loosened and the buttons were unfastened efficiently. I didn't like Eddie figuring me out faster. I didn't even get to get to him properly. His hand went to my pants and I groaned loudly, breaking our kiss. My mouth ached from him latching onto them, but I wouldn't trade that feeling for anything else.
– Eddie … – I managed to choke out as his fingers squeezed my groin.
– I wish I could undress you any more, but you understand, right? – His voice was hoarse, and his eyes were burning with desire.
– Yes. So ... make it fast. – I grabbed his hand and slipped it into my boxers.
Eddie looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive. I grinned broadly and slowly moved my hand so that his hand ran the full length of my penis.
Another groan and something snapped in Eddie. In a few movements, he slipped my pants with boxer to my knees and did the same with his own. He grabbed both our penises in his hand. The heat that emanated from him made me go crazy, and I started to move involuntarily. The strong pressure and the slap on the buttock made me stop.
– I will do it. – I didn't get a chance to answer, because Eddie immediately sucked on my mouth.
I didn't know what to do with my own hands, so I embraced him by the neck. Moments later, he began to move his hand up and down, squeezing and relaxing it at the right moments. Our breaths became faster and shallow. I was hot and I couldn't stand it anymore. I wanted to feel him inside me, but I knew it was safer that way. What we were doing now could also cause us problems, but this is the only opportunity we could get right now. The shift ends in about 12 hours, and chances are, neither of us would have made it to the end.
Therefore, we both focused on the increasing pressure between our legs. I put my hand on Eddie's, and we came together a few minutes later. With a silent scream, I tilted my head back so hard that I hit the wall. But I couldn't feel anything except the fading excitement. Eddie's head was resting on my shoulder. We both tried to control our breathes.
Taking the towels from a nearby hanger, we dried ourselves and cleaned up.
Lazy but passionate kisses followed us until we left the locker room. As the siren wailed again, we ran straight to the car, pretending not to see our friends' meaningful looks.
Day 2: After a serious call where one of them almost gets hurt again Eddie decides to propose to him there instead of like he planned to do at dinner that same night.
