Ingredients: 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup water. 1/2 cup bread crumbs. 1/4 cup hot sauce. 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Oil for frying.
Instructions: To make a batter, combine the flour and water in a bowl. Mix the bread crumbs, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in a separate bowl. Tofu cubes are coated with the breadcrumb mixture after being dipped into the batter. In a pan, warm up the oil over medium-high heat. After the coated tofu cubes are crispy and golden brown, drain them on paper towels. Combine soy sauce, melted vegan butter, and hot sauce in a different bowl. Coat the fried tofu cubes evenly with buffalo sauce by tossing them in it.
