Nighttime headcanon

Hey, this has been in my head for a few days and idk if this is in character but it needed to get out of my system so enjoy

Prompt/Idea: the character comes home late at night seeing you asleep in bed. this is just me imagining why they would be so late and how they would feel joining you so late in bed.

Genre: Fluff

Albedo:

He has been so occupied with his research that he completely forgot the time. It wasn’t until he accidentally knocked a book off the table he was pulled out of his work trance. Looking at the clock he just let out a sigh. It was already so late now and he started to feel the tiredness in his body.

So he decided to stop it for today, after all his work isn’t up to his own quality standards when he’s too tired.

When he made it back home he saw the entire flat being filled in darkness, you must have went to bed already he thought.

He was right, when he stepped into your shared bedroom he saw you laying in bed, snuggled up in the blanket, a quiet snore coming from you.

At the look of you laying in bed, looking so peaceful - albedo couldn’t help himself and smile at the view.

He was very careful to make no noise when he was preparing himself for bed, changing his usually attire for a soft pyjama you gifted him some time ago.

Albedo never cared for when, where and how much he slept (or if he slept at all). Not until you stepped into his life and basically forced him to take sleep more seriously. A part of this was that he shouldn’t always fall asleep in whatever he was wearing that day. And with that it started that Albedos dresser got various new additions for sleeping attire.

He wouldn’t care about the clothes if it weren’t for the fact that all of them were gifts from you. Although he had to admit sleeping in clothes specifically for that purpose was better than what he used to do.

As he laid down besides you, you started to shift. At first Albedo was worried he woke you, however you just rolled around to now face the alchemist, still in a deep slumber.

He looked at your sleeping face, still being smitten by your quiet snores. He knew you were a bit insecure about your snoring, but albedo had assured you even if you were louder than Klees bombs, it would not disturb his sleep.

And that was true, it was never a distraction. However being able to watch you sleep was something that could distract Albedo easily from falling asleep himself.

Nonetheless Albedo couldn’t stop his heavy eyelids to fall down and just like that he joined you in your dreams.

Diluc:

when will Diluc finally go to bed before dawn?

probably never, if he's not helping Charles at the tavern for the night he runs around protecting Mondstadt from various threats that emerge at night.

So when Diluc finally made his way into the shared bedroom after a night with either Kaeya (he somehow never misses a night when Diluc is tending the bar) or criminals, fatui or hilichurls (sometimes even all of it), he is in desperate need of sleep and seeing you

He sees you in bed, being covered up by his and your own blanket - the view makes him sigh, you always tell him how cold the bed feels at night without him

Diluc can't help but feel the guilt tugging at his heart seeing you like this, you always ask him to go to bed with you or at least to come to bed earlier than usual... he never really listens and he's sorry about it

especially knowing that you freeze without him isn't a thought he enjoys

He quickly changes from his clothes into something more comfortable for the night and joins you in bed

Diluc has to be very careful not to wake you up when he takes the blanket from you

when you start to shift he stops moving, fearing that he woke you up

you don't wake up, but feeling the warm that radiates from Diluc in your sleep you shift closer to him, taking him in your arms

Diluc.exe has stopped working

he will never get used to how you always end up snuggling up to him in your sleep

not that he is against it, the opposite he loves it... however he fears that the beating of his heart will wake you

after getting used to you, the tiredness of Dilucs body catches up to him and he slowly starts to drift away to sleep too

the last thing Diluc has on his mind while falling asleep how he wishes that he could stay like this with you for forever

Zhongli:

He spend most of the day at the funeral parlor, it was planned for him to arrive home at the usual time - but oh well, he ran into the traveller who needed help with something and before Zhongli even noticed it it was the middle of the night and he was not beside you in bed yet

when he made his way back home to you he was surprised to find you in your pyjama asleep on the couch in the living room with a book in your hand

you both had a nighttime routine and it must have worried you a lot when he didnt arrive home when you expected it from him

how inconsiderate of him, he will have to make it up to you the next day

but first he needs to get you into bed, Zhongli can't possibly let you sleep on the couch

when he layed you down onto the shared bed and went to change his clothes he heard you call out to him in a sleepy voice

"zhongli?" he comes over to you, taking the blanket and covering you with it. "hush love, I'm home. I am sorry for worrying you" he says with a soft whisper

"mmmh, glad your home" and with that slurred reply you fell back into sleep

shortly after this Zhongli joins you in bed, taking you in his arms and closing his eyes

as the former geo-archon he doesn't need to sleep, but he learned that it can be quite enjoyable - especially with you at his side

Yoimiya:

Ah, Yoimiya totally forgot the time when she was working on the new fireworks for the summer festival

when she comes home to find you fast asleep in bed she feels a bit sad, so much happened today and she really was looking forward to tell you all about it - you both usually tell each other everything that happened the day before you go to bed, so Yoimiya is dissapointed that because she didn't keep track of time that she missed that routine of the both of you

however ... Yoimiya grew up with a deaf father, so although she tries to be as quite as possible while getting ready for bed she really isn't quite, causing you to wake up the moment she joins you in bed

"Yoimiya?", you ask, voice still filled with sleep

"Oh (Y/N), I'm sorry I woke you up"

Oh well, you're awake now and asking why she came so late and how her day was... you didn't get all of it, sleep still pulling you back from time to time, but the sound of Yoimiyas voice telling you about her day and all the new fireworks, it really makes you feel happy

Yoimiya notices how you switch from being half-awake to asleep until you finally fall asleep for good. With a smile she cuddles you, happy that she was able to share her day - though tomorrow at breakfast you will have to tell her everything about your own day

Ok, sry if u can’t do it u can just ignore it. But I had this idea, cause I kind of have a fear of big dogs. So what do u think would happen if u went over to Henry’s for the first time and met with kal and got a little scared

Kal would be all about meeting you!

Henry would have been talking you up to him, cause Kal is a serious part of Henry’s world and if Kal doesn’t approve, chances are it won’t happen.

So, he tells Kal all about you, to make sure he likes you.

Which, Kal being Kal, he’ll love the stuffing out of you!

Henry opens the door for you, when you arrive at his place for dinner; all smiles, hugs, cheek kisses and asking about your day.

As soon as Kal hears the happiness in Henry’s voice and your voice answering him, the Bear knows. “This is Daddy’s special Lady friend! I must greet her!” and will come bounding into the room, tail going and tongue lulling out of his smiling mouth.

You of course had seen many and many photos of Kal, from Henry’s Instagram and Henry just showing you photos of him he had taken, while on dates and outings together.

So, you knew what Kal looked like and you were sure he was a super good boy, besides, he was Henry’s dog, so he had to be the bestest boy in the world. Just like his papa.

Which meant you knew he was a big boy.

But, you weren’t ready for just how big Kal was and you got spooked, gasping and grabbing a hold of Henry’s arm as Kal skid to a stop in front of you and tried jumping up on you.

“Kal, down.” Henry ordered the Akita, pointing a stern finger at him, then looked to you. “It’s all right.” He smiled, rubbing your back, comfortingly. “He won’t hurt you, I promise.” He tried to assure you.

“I know.” You replied, staring down at Kal, still a bit startled.

Henry smiled at you, seeing you needed a little more assurance. “Kal.” He looked to the Bear with a prideful grin. “Greet y/n properly.” He told him.

Kal let out a happy bark, spooking you a little bit with the noise, before running off again.

“You’ll love this.” Henry said, directing you over to his couch.

Kal came back to you and Henry, carrying his absolute favorite toy in the whole wide world; a pink, stuffed and squeaky pig, and gently put it in your lap, then sat down at your feet, his large black and white body wiggling with his excitement to show you his toy.

“Awww.” You melted, picking the pig up and examining it, most of the stuffing was gone, but the squeaker was still in it. “That’s so sweet.” You smiled at Henry, then looked to Kal. “Thank you, it’s a very nice piggy, Kal.” You told him, petting him gently on the head. “You’re as sweet as your daddy.” You complimented him.

Henry blushed, but was more than glad that you weren’t scared of Kal anymore.

When Mat meets your golden retriever for the first time he just pats his head to say hi and then focuses back on you

You know he’s not really a dog person but you really want the two to get along

You’re used to cuddling with your dog on the couch whenever you watch movies

But Mat grunts when the ball of fluff tries to come lay against you while he’s holding you and watching netflix

It’s a tight space on the couch so you don’t say anything about it

He’s still nice with your dog, he’ll happily go on walks with the two of you, but he’s not very cuddly

He’s mostly just jealous

Your dog is your whole life and he wants to be part of that, but he’s struggling with it

He’s a little scared whenever he hears a growl or a bark, even when it’s playful, which doesn’t help

You’re a little defeated after the first month

Mat still comes to your place all the time and he never says anything mean

But you know he wishes he could stay in bed with you for lazy mornings instead of feeling you get up early to walk the dog every single day

Sometimes, when he gets to your place before you because you’re staying at work for an extra hour or two, he’ll even walk him for you

You appreciate the efforts and try to show both a lot of love since they’re both suckers for your attention

But when you get home one day you find Mat half passed out on the couch

And your golden is laying on his chest

Your heart JUMPS at the sight and you wish you could take pictures but they both hear you come in and get up to greet you before you get the chance

Mat is blushing because he didn’t think you’d come home so early

The time the two spent together finally paid off and he’s still wary of dogs but not yours

You make a LOT of jokes about adopting another one together as your ‘first child’

Mat rolls his eyes every single time

But you catch him looking up shelters to adopt from

He’s becoming a real dog dad and he’s kind of excited at the idea of getting a puppy he can raise with you

the senior trip

ok so this is my first stray kids fic, i didn’t rlly edit it but i hope you all enjoy! 💕 this is jock! hyunjin x fem! reader, also a friends to lovers au of sorts :) ft the 00 line

On the last week of school, your best friend Felix came up to you and begged you to go on a road trip with him and his friends

After an entire day of insisting that you were “one of his best friends” and that he would “die without you”, you caved

His best friends were a wildly varying group of seniors at the school, some of which you were friends with, some of which you barely talked to

Hyunjin was the cliche jock

He literally could play ANY sport and be amazing at it,,,

You were slightly envious of him but you wouldn’t let him know that

And then there was Jisung

He wasn’t the most book smart, but when it came to music he was a genius

Nobody really knew since he kept it quiet, and only the chorus kids and his music theory class knew about his hidden talent

Again, you were jealous

Seungmin was that kid who could manage several ap classes like a champ

Also one of your best friends

He was kind of sassy at times but sometimes you just needed good ole Minnie to let you know you were being stupid

Seungmin and Felix openly discussed this road trip all through the school year but you never thought they’d ACTUALLy do it

“Hey y/n, Wanna come on our road trip?”

“Yeah, sure ‘lix.” You’d say, brushing it off as teasing

Until THE LAST WEEK

“Y/n, you’re packed for our trip, right?”

WHAT

“Did you forget?”

“I-I didn’t think you were serious? I’m not sure if I want to go, I have a lot of plans this summer and I kind of want to relax and-“

Seungmin then plopped down onto a bench at your lunch spot, clapping a hand on your back

“If anyone needs to relax, it’s me, and this trip is the perfect chance. We’re going to a resort!”

how were you supposed to get out of this now ( ಠ ಠ )

“My mom-“

Felix shot you a look

“Y/n, YOURE 18!!! You can go without your mom’s permission”

“Let me think about it.”

The rest of lunch Felix and Seungmin dropped it

After lunch was over, the avalanche of questions started

You were solid in your decision until Felix added you to a group chat

you kept telling yourself the only reason you went was the spam

But Felix and seungmin both knew it was because of your silent pining of hyunjin

Aka the super gorgeous super talented super sporty super nice super smart best friend of your best friend

it was ALL FINE UNTIL

Hyunjin: y/n, you HAVE to come with us :(( it won’t be the same :(((

from across the English classroom Felix watched your resolve crumble as you typed

Y/N: ,,,,, when do we leave

Never did you think you’d end up here, though

Jisung’s VW bus had broken down

(EVERYONE knew it was only a matter of time)

So now you sat crammed between jisung and hyunjin in the backseat of Felix’s car

Despite insisting Jisung took up little to no space and that it was far smarter for him to sit in the middle

he insisted that his knee had been bothering him and you should instead

He was laying with his head against the door and his feet pushing you closer to Hyunjin

U were rlly warm but it definiTELY wasn’t the car, just u :)

U were awkwardly pushed up against the dude you had a crush on all of high school

And you knew the 3 other boys in the car had planned it

When you glanced in the rear view mirror you were met with Seungmin’s grinning at you and a snort from Felix

You didn’t really mind though because Hyunjin was super sweet and didn’t mind you being that close to him at all

Instead, when jisung KICKED you over toward ur crush

And you PROFUSELy apologized

Hyunjin just laughed and said

“It’s okay! I’ve been around him my entire life, I’m not surprised, honestly”

At some point during the ride you fell asleep and when you woke up on hyunjins shoulder

Saying you panicked would be an understatement

“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I can’t believe I fell asleep on you, oh my gosh Hyunjin you should’ve woken me up and told me to move I’m so sorry”

“Y/n, it’s fine, I promise I didn’t mind.”

Yeah that made you feel somewhat better until you felt the dried up drool on your chin

GREAT

Anyway, you guys had arrived at the resort you were staying at

felix and seungmin weren’t mean enough to make you room with hyunjin (tbh you’d die)

(also that’s too cliche let’s be honest)

though the moment the door shut and you threw your suitcase onto the suitcase stand, felix and seungmin were hounding you

“you slept on him, y/n”

“see we told you that you wouldn’t regret this”

“we’re the best wingmen ever”

“what would you do without us”

it took a sharp glare from you to get them to shut up but they were still snickering

after you unpacked, felix and seungmin shoved you out the door with jisung and hyunjin in tow

it was your job to buy and cook dinner apparently

when you got to the store you put jisung in charge of dessert and hyunjin was in charge of the vegetable

you had the main course

unsurprisingly, jisung came back with box of cake mix and funfetti icing

hyunjin, being the healthy he is due to his sports diet, came back with a microwave veggie bag

you were making one of your favorite dishes, maybe not the healthiest, but that was never a criteria for dinner

when u got back you put the boys to work

and surprise surprise

they protested as u told them to boil water and start making their food items

anyway, after u got them to actually start working (by promising you’d buy them the next game they wanted for felix’s switch), dinner quickly was served

u made a fancy pasta dish that was irresistible >:]

and you’re proud to say there were no leftovers

after you and the boys finished cleaning the kitchen, hyunjin approached you

“y/n, i’m gonna go on a walk to burn off some of the unhealthy stuff in that meal. i cant be looking puffy or gaining weight” he joked

“but if you,, uh, want to join me...?” he asked, smiling sheepishly

hyunjin was talking about BURNING CALORIES while you sat on the couch in pj shorts and an oversized shirt, watching tv and playing on your phone

but it was hyunjin, so you got up, shoved your phone in your pocket and slipped into some shoes and went on a walk with him

he walked really fast, to be honest

you were jogging to keep up with him,,, and u were the one who wanted to do less exercise,,,, >:////

hyunjin would look back at you and laugh as your dragged your feet, wanting to take a break

“y/n~ we’re here”

“y-you took me somewhere? damn it, hyunjin, we could’ve taken the car (；¬д¬)”

“but that’s no fun!”

his puppy dog eyes made you sign in defeat before taking in the surroundings

hyunjin had led you to the resort pond reserve, where little ducks would swim during the day

at night, the onlt light pollution was from the city several miles away, and the stars reflected perfectly off of the calm water

“how’d you know about this?” you asked ur ‘workout’ partner

(like u could ever survive a workout with him)

“i saw it coming in and i thought you’d enjoy it. you were too busy sleeping on me but you mentioned stargazing sophomore year.”

“i know jisung also likes stuff like this so i invited him but he didn’t want to stop the game he was in,” hyunjin added

and thus, the hope left

he just did it as a friendly thing, hyunjin was always friendly

you sighed and sat down on the grass, not really caring about the mud or grass stains

should,, you tell him?

it could ruin the rest of your trip and cause awkwardness between your friend groups and ruin your friendship with hyunjin

or he could (very unlikely) like you back

in which case,,, what do u do?

hm.... the logical choice was obvious; the first

screw logic though

“ah, hyunjin?”

he glanced over at you, shaking his bangs out of his face, but failing and spluttering to fix it, “yeah?”

“i dont want this to make anything awkward or whatever and i know this is really stupid because you’re you and i’m me and i like you but you’re all sport-y and handsome and girls love you and every one of those girls are prettier than me but i mean i couldn’t help it felix and seungmin tease me all the time and i got sick of holding it in because there was the off chance that maybe you liked me back but now all of this is coming out of my mouth and i realize how stupid i sound”

you cast your gaze down and played with. a strand of grass

“you like me?” hyunjin asked, earning a nod from you

“y/n.... i’ve liked you.... for the longest time, i thought you only saw me as a popular jock like the rest of my team or that you saw me as a brother or something...” his face went from shocked and morphed into a huge smile

you listened to him and your own smile formed before you tackled him into a hug

“oh gosh, i was so worried this would go badly. what will we tell the others? they’ll never let us out again” you laughed softly

hyunjin stood up, helping you up as well

“we don’t have to tell the others, they’re not stupid. for now, you’re here with me”

you scoffed at that. “ohmygosh, you’re so cliché-”

hyunjin cut you off with a kiss, and you didn’t really realize it before he pulled back

“was that ok? i didn’t mean to overstep any boundaries, i just, i dont know i just thought that maybe-”

you cut him off with a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing his hand

“we gotta get back to the boys before they think we died” you smiled brightly

“i suppose youre right. what would we do without the mom friend?” he teased, letting go of your hand and wrapping his arm around you as you both walked home
