would you be comfortable making an alternate burstromantic flag?
[ID: 2 rectangular flags with 5 equally-sized horizontal lines. colors in this order from top to bottom: darkish greenish-blue, blue, pale greyish-purple, light purple, purple. in the center if the first flag is a dark green-blue 5-pointed star. End ID]
alt burstromantic (link) flags; "an a-spec identity where one is normally completely aromantic but occasionally experiences sudden, short bursts of attraction.", using colors similar to the original burtsromantic flag :p

maybe burstromantic is when romantic attraction only appears in bursts? that would be my best guess...
Thank you for sending this ask, because it reminded me that I actually forgot to fill in the definition and the other mods didn’t know of it. And yeah, that’s pretty much it! The definition is on the page now. It is:
Burstromantic: Romantic attraction comes and goes, and this may or may not have a reason.
- Mod Harley
Burst-
Burst- An orientation where a type of attraction will occur in a sudden burst, then vanish or fade away.

Hey, sorry to bring all this off-topic but OP, this could be a symptom of bipolar or borderline personality disorder!
If you feel sudden, intense, possessive feelings, then nothing, maybe with interspersed anger/repulsion, in brief and cyclical spikes, please talk to a doctor. You need help.
I'm sure that I'm asexual, but I have no idea whether or not I'm aromantic. I mean, sometimes I develop feeling for others (of both genders), but it tends to subside after a week. Also, I love your blog! Keep up the good work. :D
that sounds like burstromantic, which is an aro-spectrum identity. it’s when you sometimes get “bursts” of attraction for people, but they fade quickly
