Jeremiah sketch dump!

There’s the idea that Jeremiah was mentored by a fellow prophet, Zephaniah, and to find out he’s a descendant of DAVID… well that’s chaos combined. Due to his rank as a descendant of David through Hezekiah, Zephaniah may have had an easier time than most prophets as he is royalty.

But still… unless it’s Islam, ‘Prophet’ and ‘Descendant of David’ is a chaotic combo that I don’t think anyone could stand.. personality wise. Also I tried to make Zephaniah look richer and like royalty.

Anyway, onto this guy!!!! There’s actually another Uriah in the Bible that has a terrible fate, it’s this guy, another prophet (I think), did everything right but was still killed and his entire known life story is in Jeremiah 26:20-23. Gosh I feel so bad for him. Another Uriah that got a bad ending. (Luckily the bad endings stop there for the Uriah’s in the Bible tho)

And to the sketches of the man the book is actually named after (edit: he was in the Zephaniah sketch too..)

Baruch is Jeremiah’s bff and the only good scribe he knows (Lookin at you, Jonathan the scribe) and Baruch even got his own deuterocanonical Bible book! The next is based off the belief that Jeremiah was Ezekiel’s father, Buzi. Honestly I feel like the idea of Jeremiah raising the next Prophet would be kinda worrying to him because of all of the pain he went through as a prophet and he might’ve been overbearing and overprotective of Ezekiel talking with god and that might’ve let to some issues between them. Also I made a design for Ezekiel’s mom.

I think I’m reusing the teardrop earring style in my sketches 😂
