入間基地航空祭2024

心地よい気候と雲一つない秋晴れに恵まれ、大混雑の入間基地航空祭へ足を延ばしてみた。

航空祭というものに行くのは随分久しぶりな気がする。地元にいた頃、父と一緒に岐阜基地の航空祭へ行ったのがひょっとしたら最後かもしれない。友人に誘われ久々に足を延ばしてみた。

今回の目玉は、今年度中の退役が予定されているC-1ファミリーが勢ぞろいした点。特にカモノハシとも呼ばれ、1機しか存在しないECM訓練用電子戦機EC-1やこの航空祭がラストフライトとなったC-1 31号機の展示飛行等、見所満載でした。C-1やC-2のような大型輸送機の角度をつけた旋回は見ごたえあり。

もちろん、航空祭といえばのブルーインパルスの飛行展示も。いつ見ても夢中になれる美しさでした。一部ではシルバーインパルスと呼ばれているらしい（？）通常カラーのT-4の展示飛行もなかなか派手な動きでした。

数年ぶりのフル規模での開催 + ブルーインパルス展示あり、ということで混雑が予想されていましたが、午前中は比較的ゆったりできる混み具合、午後のブルーインパルス展示に向けて続々と人が増えていく感覚でした。

でも最も恐ろしかったのは。。。終了後の帰宅ラッシュ。比較的規模の大きい狭山市駅までの道中は信号待ちで詰まり、朝は10-15分程度の道のりが帰りは1時間近くかかり、心が折れそうになりました。。。
