episode 67, aka :
I'm perusing Critrolestats (RIP) and was just going through the kill count for C2, and it start's off making sense, Yasha 43.5, makes sense because Ashley wasn't there a lot (and Ashley is bad at speed math), Jester 59.5, Caleb 85.8 wizards have fireball, Beau 51.1, Nott/Veth 69, If Sam purposefully stopped killing once he hit that number I wouldn't be shocked, Molly 21, makes sense, pretty high number considering everything (RIP), Fjord 61.8,
AND THEN we get to the weird number: Caduceus 62.8
Excuse me? Mr. Number One Cleric, The Only Healer in the group Caduceus Clay killed MORE PEOPLE THAN FJORD, JESTER, BEAU, AND YASHA?!?! (And Molly but again that one was less surprising, long may he reign).
So I start looking through the numbers, because CritRoleStats very helpfully has a list under each character of each episode they killed someone in and how many kills there were in that episode. Now keep in mind that Critrolestats just has the numbers up top, there are no descriptions or explanations for any of these kills until you scroll waaaaaaaaaaaay down.
Each list is like; 1,2,1,1,2,3,1,4,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,5,1,1,1 with the occasional bigger number thrown in. Caleb and Jester both have an 18 which is the biggest number on any list I've seen so far. This makes sense because they're the main offensive magic users and it was probably a fireball or something. Anyway, then I scroll down to Caduceus, 1,1,3,1,1,1,2, 32
32
Excuse me? What?! Why does Caduceus have the largest single episode kill count BY FAR of any C2 character? Over half of his kills from the entire campaign are from one episode.
Oh yeah lmfao, Caduceus sunk a ship with a tidal wave. I assume it's this moment because I genuinely can't think of anything else it could possibly be.
Nope, It's NOT THAT, it says episode 67, what is this?
It's Destroy Undead from the tomb under Bazzoxan! There's like a million zombies in here, I forgot about that. Jester and Caleb's high scores are also from this episode lol. Of course! And this is the perfect major kill count for the ultimate cleric. Of course it's while fighting against the undead.
The only people who have more kills under their belt than Caduceus as of the end of C2 are Caleb and Veth. That's hilarious. Removing the zombies from his total brings his number down to a much more in character 31.8 (one of his kills in ep 67 was a spider so I left that one in lol).
Nein Again music for Episode 67: Beyond the Eyes of Angels under the cut! The music was pretty quiet for the first part of the episode, and Matt swapped between 2 shorter playlists, so there's only a handful of songs this week.
I'm not sure of the start time, but Cursed music from World of Warcraft plays in the background at about 14:30 when the players discuss whether or not Nott is invisible. I timestamped Cursed 6 below for the vocals.
At 19:35, Hell from Diablo II plays as Nott sneaks into the spider lair and realizes the sacks are not sacks.
At about 25:30, Kurast from Diablo II plays as Matt brings the map out and the players choose their positions.
At 30:20, Matt switches to the combat playlist beginning with PvP (2-4) from WoW. I timestamped PvP 2 in the compilation below.
At about 36:50, Heart of Sethraliss from WoW: Battle for Azeroth plays as Matt describes the giant spider with a stinger going after Caleb.
PvP and Heart of Sethraliss continue in a shuffle from there. I heard Heart of Sehtraliss repeat at 45:30.
At 1:05:50, Cave from Diablo II plays as combat ends, the Nein settle, and Matt sits down.
At 1:09:50, Monastery from Diablo II plays as the Nein continue exploring the room.
At 1:22:20, Cave repeats as Caleb burns the egg sack and backs up when the baby spiders flee.
At 1:26:15, Hell repeats as Nott pickpockets a case and finds a vellum scroll for Caleb.
Around 1:34:15, Spider from Diablo II plays as Nott tries to waterwalk on the suspicious mist.
At 1:38:10, Kurast replays as the Nein make their way through the misty room.
At 1:40:50 or so, Monastery repeats as the Nein trigger a trap and Matt grabs another map.
At 1:42:55, Matt switches back to the combat playlist beginning with Heart of Sethraliss, which repeats at about 2:18:30 and 2:33:30, and otherwise the PvP (2-4) Mix. The combat playlist continues until the break.
At 3:06:00 or so, Kurast repeats as the Nein look around to sort out the puzzle in the room with the undead pit.
At 3:11:15, Cave repeats as the undead rouse and Matt fetches the map.
At 3:14:10, Matt switches to the combat playlist again, this time beginning with PvP (2-4). Heart of Sethraliss replays at 3:25:10 and 3:38:35.
At 4:05:05, Matt switches back to Monastery as combat ends and the Nein discuss what they should do.
At 4:11:10, Leofric plays as Caleb summons the tiny hut and the Nein discuss whether to take a long rest.
At 4:17:40, Monastery repeats as the Nein scout around the chains before bedding down for a long rest.
That's all for this week!
rest in peace legend
