In Captain America:  The First Avenger, we see Steve about to jump through flames toward Bucky.  We do not however, see him land.

Which means we are perfectly within our rights to imagine it was the sloppiest most embarrassing landing ever.

So in WWII there were postal acronyms - some as innocent as SWALK (Sealed With A Loving Kiss) while others covered more intimate messages like “NORWICH” (kNickers Off Ready When I Come Home), “BURMA” (Be Undressed/Upstairs Ready My Angel), or “CHINA “ (Come Home I'm Naked Already). 

Now...it might just be me, but imagine Steve’s introduction to these either via the chorus girls of his CA show or once the Howling Commandos have been established.
