The first prototype of my new Petergate hat pattern has been completed - thank you to everyone who gave me advice on the cables. My next job is to format the pattern and find a good yarn for the photo model. There's an awesome local indie dyer with a sale on exactly the right colour, and I'm arguing with myself as to whether or not I can justify the cost...

The Julia hat pattern from earlier is now live!
I first made this beanie many years ago as a Christmas gift for my Mum. She has since lost the original, but luckily I kept the pattern notes - though I did write them backwards, incorrectly, and in the middle of a non-descript notebook I’m lucky I haven’t thrown out by now.
Just go to show folks, never throw anything out!
