Headcanons TOTTMNT (Mutant MAYHEM 2023) with Human Crush:

Leonardo:

Leo is the most obvious about his crush but tries to play it cool with “leader charisma.” He fails adorably.

Leo absolutely practices his opening lines in the mirror before he sees you. He’ll put on his best "suave leader" voice, lean against the bathroom wall, and say things like, "Hey, what's up? Just led a massive mission, no big deal." Raph always catches him doing this and mercilessly records it.

He memorizes every little thing you mention (favorite drink, music, hobbies).

“Oh, you like that band? I definitely didn’t look up all their songs after you said that…”

Whenever you actually talk to him, all his practice goes out the window. If you compliment him or smile at him a little too long, his voice hits pitches that only dogs can hear.

He tries to act like the cool, responsible, fearless leader whenever you're around. This usually results in him trying to do a cool sword flip and accidentally launching his katana into the ceiling.

He will always try to walk on the outside of the sidewalk closest to the street when you hang out, or hold doors open for you. He read online that it’s "gentlemanly," but he does it so aggressively that it’s mostly just funny.

If you text him, he stares at the message for ten minutes, types out three different paragraphs, deletes them all, and responds with "Haha yeah 😎."

Then he throws his phone across the room in embarrassment.

Raphael:

Raph is in heavy denial at first. “She’s just a friend. A really cute, smart, funny friend. Shut up, Donnie.”

Raph’s flirting strategy is 100% just lifting heavy things in your general vicinity. If you need a jar opened, he will sprint across the room to do it. He’ll casually bench-press a manhole cover while asking how your day was, hoping you notice his biceps.

Despite his tough-guy exterior, he turns the color of his bandana if you initiate physical contact. If you hug him or grab his arm, he completely freezes, his brain short-circuits, and he forgets how to speak English.

If someone bumps into you on the street or gives you a weird look, Raph immediately steps in front of you, puffing out his chest. You have to gently remind him that you don't need him to fight the guy who accidentally stepped on your shoe.

The other three know exactly how he feels about you and use it against him. Mikey will purposely ask you questions about guys you think are cute just to watch Raph grind his teeth in the background.

Gets flustered when you call him “Raphie” or any nickname. He’ll grumble but his tail is wagging.

When he's alone, he punches his mattress out of frustration because he doesn't know how to tell you he likes you. But he's also the one most likely to remember your favorite snacks and awkwardly shove them into your hands without making eye contact.

Late-night texts you (mostly memes and “u good?” at 2 a.m.) because he can’t stop thinking about you.

Donatello:

Donnie falls hard and fast. You smiled at him once and he wrote a 12-page analysis titled “Why She’s Perfect” in his private notes app.

Donnie's love language is infodumping. If he has a crush on you, he will aggressively share his hyperfixations. You will know everything about Attack on Titan, the intricacies of K-pop group lore, and how he built his bo-staff. If you actually listen and ask questions, he will internally propose to you on the spot.

He makes you things. It starts small—fixing your cracked phone screen or speeding up your laptop. Then it escalates. Suddenly, your backpack has a solar charger, and a self-deploying umbrella.

He has definitely deep-dived your social media. He knows your favorite bands, your aesthetic, and your birthday. He tries to bring these things up naturally in conversation, but it usually comes out like, "Statistically speaking, someone with your astrological sign would enjoy this specific matcha latte I bought you."

He is incredibly smooth over text. He uses the perfect emojis, sends you hilarious, highly-curated TikToks, and flirts confidently. But in person? He avoids eye contact, stutters, and hides behind his tech goggles.

He constantly compares your dynamic to his favorite anime romance tropes and gets flustered.

Fantasizes about slow dancing with you in the lair while playing lo-fi beats he made specifically for you.

Michelangelo:

Mikey has zero chill. Everyone knows he has a crush on you, including you. He is loud, affectionate, and constantly hovering around you like a happy golden retriever.

His main goal is to make you laugh. He will do impressions, physical comedy, and improv routines just to see you smile. If he gets a genuine laugh out of you, he will ride that high for an entire week.

You are his favorite muse. His sketchbooks are full of you in superhero poses, eating pizza, or as a beautiful warrior queen. If you sit next to him, he’ll casually slide a perfectly drawn portrait of you across the table with a little heart in the corner.

He is very hands-on. He’s the first to pull you into a massive bear hug, he’ll lean against your shoulder when you're watching movies, and he always wants to play with your hair. He uses physical affection to communicate what he's too shy to say out loud.

Constantly tries to impress you with skate tricks, dance moves, and terrible (but endearing) pick-up lines.

He is your biggest fan. If you wear a new outfit, he will gasp loudly and hype you up.

"Are you kidding me right now?! Look at you! You look like a movie star!"

He makes you feel like a million bucks every time you see him.

THREE YEARS OF CZECH JOY!!!

Since i have been learning czech for three years today, i want to answer some frequently asked questions i get about learning czech.

1 Are you fluent yet?

No but im on my way... fluency is complicated to define and its not very easily obtained. Especially when you dont live in a country that speaks the language you are learning. I started learning english 20 years ago... and im still not entierly sure if i can call myself fluent in english. I might have to move to czechia some day if i want to be fluent in czech.

2 ...But can you say 'hello', 'good bye' and so?

3 Why do you learn czech, how did it start?

I once found a book about prague and it had czech text in it, i thought the language looked weird and beutiful and i was so intrested so i opened up duolingo and started practicing. From that point i later joined discord servers and started to czech people, then i met even more czech friends after i started my blog and made my discord server. I love czech so much, it is like glitter and sparkles in my mind and soul. It is the most adorable languae i know. The letters have hats! I repeat : THE LETTERS HAVE HATS! I love them so much, they are like precious creatures to me. Look : Š Ř Ž Č Ě.

Czech makes me so happy and has improved my life in so many ways. I am more confident, hopeful, and social, happier, braver, smarter thanks to this amazing language. It made me finally want to start building a future for myself after years of mental illness.

4 Do you have any czech family?

No my family is swedish. Most of them dont know any czech, but i thaught my mom to say dobrý den and děkuju when we went to prauge togheter. She also picked up nejfialovější and řoo řooo from me.

5 How did you learn czech?

I have had to figure out what learning styles work for me and i have gotten to know myself better with what works and what doesnt. I have autism so i learn diffrently than most other people, this can be tricky to figure out and it takes a lot of tries and experiments. I chat a lot in czech and i make blog posts. This blog has helped my czech grow a lot. Interactive learning is extra important for language learning. I have wonderful czech friends and followers who gladly help me when czech is difficult. I try my best to be consistant and learn czech in some way, either activly or passivly every day. It has been hard this year since i moved and started school, i cant study czech as much as i would like. I had a lot of free time before i started going to school so i could spend as much time as i wanted on czech. I went to brno for summer school last year and i learned a lot of czech that i never would have learned otherwise.

6 Is czech a difficult language?

Actually i dont want to tell you. Go figure this one out for yourself by learning czech. you will se :)

Ok ok ok so even native speakers say czech grammar is hard right? I hesitate to say yes to this question because it doesnt tell the full story. My only true and honest answer to this question would be a 3 hour long infodump... I can sum it up by saying that : Yes czech is hard according to most standards. Although there are times when czech is the easiest thing in the world. I have defeated my social anxiety in many instances because i am just so hyped that i get to speak czech. Looking at czech declencion tables has helped me calm down from overstimulation/anxiety attacks. Speaking czech to myself helps me relax and fall asleep. It is paradoxical how it can be so hard yet so easy.

Another thing worth mentioning is that most things worth doing are hard. You wouldnt get far if you only did easy things. Im not promising that czech will have the same effect on you as it had on me... but it can't hurt to try and see?

Mmmm.. gonna draw my Vylad and Zenix and Laurance and Dante all go batshit crazy trying to figure out wtf happened to Garroth and Travis (and pals) during Starlight au

aka Dante and Laurance just figured out about the missing people over the news and Zenix saw it with Sasha and Gene, Vylad just got off of their plane from Europe (a large town in Gal’ruk with no internet access because how tf does the entire country of Europe exist in this universe) expecting their family but instead reads a newspaper about the Lycans

So Dante and Laurance are freaking out (Dante thought Garroth and Zane were on a camping trip with everyone else) and Zenix (who has a soft spot for Garroth bcs he taught him how to ride a bike, thanks Amnesia for that hc) makes a mad dash over to Laurance’s house only to find he isn’t there, then runs to Dante’s house and busts open the door much to Dante and Laurance’s surprise

Meanwhile Vylad is getting a whole bunch of nothing from trying to text people for the first time in months, their sibling gc has been quiet for months and even the Not Alone Buddies gc has been silent recently, not even a random meme or Travis selfie. So Vylad thinks of people close to their family and Laurance pops into their head immediately. Then follows Vylad trying to call him.

Cut to Dante is scolding Zenix for breaking into his house while Laurance’s phone rings, he picks it up and is extremely surprised to see Vylad calling him. The surprise goes away once he remembers the news cast and he answers.

Long story short Vylad arrives at Dante’s house as well, suitcase and all, and both Dante and Laurance get a surprise when Zenix immediately recognizes Vylad and they treat each other like old friends (because they are, Vylad got physically bullied once in pdh and Zenix was mad that someone dared try to bully somebody else before him, so he beat the shit out of the other guy and earned Vylad’s respect, they are now an honorary Shadow Knight in Zenix’s eyes thanks to how easygoing and mildly badass they were)

So they all crowd around Dante’s laptop and research anything they can about Starlight, using The Wayback Machine and looking into random phone numbers and last names, learning about what the Ultima is and giving them an explanation for why Garroth is a Werewolf now, and leading to Vylad using connections from high school (Hyria) to break into Lucinda’s house to find a book on the Valkrums, THEY RESEARCH and now they have a mild understanding about what might be going on, and Zenix finds Terry’s Office phone number by accident, leading to Dante calling it and the guy actually picks up

Terry is confused and quickly gets the phone taken from him by Lucinda who is insanely surprised to hear familiar voices from people she hasn’t heard from in months (in two cases years) and gives a very quick explanation about what is going on and who is okay and about what just happened like 2 seconds beforehand thanks to exorcism and Terry takes over with how bad the situation just got and infodumps about all he knows to both the witch girlys and the former Shadow Knights + Dante, PANIC ENSUES

because what do you mean i get to be friends with a senior who is trying to teach me jazz guitar and shows me brokeback mountain edits and talks to me about bojack horseman and can shred guitar and had a girlfriend that broke up with him and came out as a lesbian and now he is maybe queer? and got me out of class for like half an hour to interview me on alt fashion and dress codes and watches mitch marsico and kurtis conner with me and works at hyvee and played marching bass 4 and is in the lower band percussion with me even though he’s a senior

and what do you mean i get to be friends with a kid who plays trumpet and has paws drawn on his sneakers and has an infected eyebrow piercing and really needs to break up with his toxic girlfriend and we tell him so every day at lunch and he runs with shelter dogs every morning and i’m 90% sure is a furry or an alterhuman and called my mom yelling and panicking because he couldn’t find his music

and what do you mean i get to be friends with the girl who likes mountain dew black cherry kickstart and puts coins in her shoes and knows literally everyone and puts ranch on everything and texts me from the class over and is dating a boy in college and was in pit with me and is going to be section leader next year and has a sister that plays trumpet and sends me reels of baby animals and gives me her cookie in exchange for my chicken and played the vibes and was the most welcoming person when i first joined marching band and gave us packets of almonds or cashews when we were hungry in the morning and let me infodump to her about hadestown

and what do you mean i get to be friends with the boy that slept over with me and my friend on new year’s and made mocktails with us and does the charlie brown thing and sends me reels telling me i’m gonna blow up and played bass 2 and rightfully got into the upper band and chews with his mouth open and his parents won’t let him go anywhere and little brother watches bluey and let me sit with him and bring him food when he got angry down in the pit and we watched reels until we started laughing again

and what do you mean i get to be friends with the boy that says he doesn’t practice but absolutely shreds every four mallet marimba piece he can get his hands on and joined hadestown pit at the last minute even though he doesn’t even like musicals and played tenors his freshman year and made it to state (for all districts AND a solo) both freshman and sophomore year and uses photomath and said he missed me over spring break and tries to act nonchalant and won’t tell me about the boys he likes and likes the videos i repost and got first chair percussion in the whole band but hates responsibility and leadership so he gave that position to a senior

and what do you mean i get to know the girl that’s a costume and makeup designer for the theatre department and has a nose piercing and is a soprano and has a boyfriend and knows my sibling and buys me ice cream

and what do you mean i get to know the boy that runs the dnd club and immediately stiffened up and asked for names when someone said they got sa’d by someone in said dnd club and is interested in my teacher love triangle headcanon

and what do you mean i get to know the guy i found having a panic attack in the percussion closet and never fails to dap me up or fist bump me in the halls and plays kit for the whole school and is going to be center snare next year and is still hung up on his ex and has a twin sister

and what do you mean i get to know the pit section leader who i found crying about her ex behind the bleachers during a football game and comforted me about being overstimulated and my grandma and showed us pat the pit cat and heads circle time and laughs at my bad ginger jokes and absolutely crushes every piece of mallet music she touches

and what do you mean i get to know the girl who was center snare this year and got overwhelmed trying to record her audition and was convinced she was horrible at percussion but still got second chair and is in choir and has a close bond with a sophomore boy and is probably dating another girl

and what do you mean i get to know one of the best singers i’ve ever heard and has a septum piercing and i’ll have to go through my first musical audition without her and cut her hair as soon as she finished her role of lesbian persephone and is probably dating the aforementioned girl and says hi to me by name whenever she sees me

and what do you mean i get to be acquaintances with all these cool seniors and juniors and sophomores that i would never even know of if i were not in any musical activities. i wouldn’t know 2/3 of my best friends without band and i wouldn’t know 7+ of these people (way more than 7) without marching band and i wouldn’t know 2+ of them (way more than 2) without being involved in theatre and what do you mean i wouldn’t know anything about this school’s choir or choir director or have helped make a jeremy jordan cardboard cutout without having been in the musical because that was where the choir director first looked for percussionists to help and what do you mean i wouldn’t have even been in hadestown pit if i wasn’t talking to my band directors and old piano teacher and the pit director just so happened to ask me if i played guitar and i said i probably couldn’t play it but i could definitely play a percussion part

so yeah join that club take those lessons audition for that musical because so many incredible opportunities and connections can be presented to you through a single club or activity.

Toki pona - mi kama sona, kepeken tenpo suli. mi pilin e ni: sona toki pona mi lon meso. (I'm learning, slowly. I think I'm at an intermediate level.)

Hindi/हिंदी - मैं बुनियादी हिंदी वाकयों बोला सका। मैं कोश में शब्द मिलना बहुत अक्सर। (I can say simple sentences. I have to look up words in the dictionary very often.)

German/Deutch - Ich kennen en bisschen deutch, aber jetzt ich lernen nicht. (I know some german, but I'm no longer learning it.)

Dutch/Nederlands - Ik spreek een beetje nederlands. Dezelfde als duits echter. (I speak some dutch. Same as german though.)

Spanish/Español - Estudiaba español. Sé mucho poco. (I'm learning spanish. I know very little.)

how it feels to go into five tangents at once

i’m going to refer to my s/i as myself in this post sorry (this counts as the mutant au,, that’s technically the main skyliv canon now, spidersona is second canon shhh. also a the mutant she has a different job)

can i let liv be stereotypically evil for a little bit. can i sit on that metal chair and giggle and kick my feet while she monologues and infodumps for an hour. tell me all the things she’s planning on doing to spider-man.

can i just. pull up to the lab one day during her lunch break to find her still hunched over her desk. she perks up like usual,, it’s a sight id never get over, before bolting over and getting a tentacle tto pick me up by the scruff (back of the shirt) and drop me in the first chair she sees

it’s like she’s got it all ready, like she rehearsed for this rehearsal. i mean when she turns the monitor around she didn’t realize she had a folder of pictures we’ve taken together open but “OH WHOOPS! DONT LOOK AT THAT, ITS FINE” and she minimizes it to a folder called “evil plans”

can i let her get into it every now nd then? even if she gets too into it, idc if she calls me her lackey or sidekick before she bursts into laughter. idc if she tosses me her goggles to hold before deciding to slide them uncomfortably over my bangs to try them on. she’s lost a lot with her work, this is the most fun she gets nowadays

the computer files make it canon that she’s had friends. but if you’re an Octavius who’s been dead set on work, i don’t know if you’re canonically destined to keep those friends

i mean, in my au she’s barely started the collider, but she’s still busy. she’s got a much more involved role in everything else at alchemax. she has to oversee funding from fisk and sponsoring miles’s school. she feels the need to consistently redesign and tweak her technology. she wants it to be perfect, she wants it to be seen

but after a bit, maybe i can help her learn that not everyone has to see her. i need to learn the same thing, but a couple people, maybe even one, can be enough

i show off liv being a “mad scientist” too much. maybe she hasn’t been consumed by her work, maybe she’s got a perfectly fine social life. if that ends up being canon for whatever reason, i’m sorry. i don’t want to take that away from her

but she’s an Octavius. like every Spider is cursed by the universe, so many with that last name must be cursed too. same with the Osborns, and the Staceys, and so many more.

But when a mutant so out of the norm just shows up at your lab one day, maybe this universe is special

Backstory:

Erika lived and spent the first part of her childhood in the US before her family was moved to Tokyo thanks to her dad's job when she was 11.

Her home life wasn't...great.

At 16; after years of abuse at the hand of her younger brother, she left. Packed up what she could and took the first train she saw. She didn't really care about where she was going as long as it was away, and ended up finding a cheap apartment with a landlord that had no problem renting to a 16yr old with no job. Which is how she ended up being Sakura's neighbor.

While she was moving in, the ceiling light came crashing down suddenly, and she screamed. Sakura, both annoyed by the loud noises and concerned about the scream, dashed over to look into the open door of Erika's apartment, yelling about "What the Hell is going on in here!?"

He back peddles HARD when he saw that Erika is american, and slowly, in english, he asks "what is happening?" (Sakura knows a decent amount of english thanks to a LOT of time watching bad american movies.)

Erika quickly explains in japanese, though thanks him for the effort of speaking english. Seeing that they're similar ages, she asks him about the schools in the area - she hadn't even put a thought towards her education when she bailed home.

Sakura really only knows Furin, but tells her that he has a friend who knows the area really well and will ask him. S l o w l y he types out a text to nirei, and then helps pick the glass from the light off the floor while shooing her away.

Within minutes Nirei is calling Sakura, ready to infodump on the schools. With a scowl, he puts the phone on speaker and lets Nirei and Erika talk as he leaves them to setting up the apartment best he can.

Eventually the squawking between Erika and Nirei comes to an end and she returns his phone to him, helping him help her finalize her new home. She thanks him and promises to thank him with lunch sometime soon.

And quietly, she applies as a transfer to Furin under her brother's name.

Needless to say a week later when Erika shows up at Furin, Sakura nearly falls out of his seat.

Class 1 is full on shouting when she shows up for homeroom, explaining that it's a boys school and what is she doing there and wait how do you know a GIRL sakura?

Erika shrugs and finds a seat. She explains that she applied with a male name, but doesn't really anticipate a delinquent school throwing her out based on gender, so as long as the paperwork looks ok she's just going to. Stay at Furin.

Kiryu and Suo are both deeply amused by the turn of events, but Sakura is annoyed as HELL. Asks her if she can even fight.

The wicked smile and bright eyes surprise him when she asks if he'd like to find out.

She's not properly trained, but she's angry, fast, and an instinctive fighter. The fight is quick, she is definitely out matched by Sakura, but there's no question she can hold her own after a powerful kick to the chest sent Sakura thrown back into the desks. Unfortunately that's about the only hit she manages to land, unable to keep up with Sakura's speed and agility. Instead of conceding defeat, as she's sitting on the ground with a split lip and a bloody nose, she insists that Sakura teach her how he moves so well. "You're like an acrobat!!" She delights in english.

"ARE YOU SAYING I BELONG IN A CIRCUS?!" he shouts back, answering instinctively in the same language.

Literally no one knows what they're saying but the vibes are already having them laughing and the question of Erika's suitability to Furin is put to rest.

Fun Facts:

Erika and Sakura love to chat in english to mess with everyone. Sakura appreciates the practice and the chance to say things without someone (Suo) teasing him. Erika likes that she can speak her native language and also make fun of everyone without getting caught.

Kiryu and Erika get along like a house on fire. They both love fashion and games, and immediately swap info when they find out they both have accounts with a few mutual games.

When Nirei finds out Erika is Sakura's neighbor, the info quickly jumps from him, to Suo, to Umemiya, who quickly make plans to invade her apartment and improve her conditions like they did for Sakura.

Umemiya cries when he finds out that she never replaced the overhead light and has been using her phone flash light to get around at night. She falls over laughing because he has "big fat baby tears".

Loves to torment Suo specifically with really dumb dad jokes. She strongly believes he is too clever and "must be dumbed down". You'll know if she's going to say a bad joke when she begins with "Hey. Hey hey Suo. Hey :)"

He indulges her every time and literally no one knows why.

She makes Umemiya cry again when she tells him she doesn't like tomatoes.

When her nightmares become too bad, or memories creep up, she will break into Furin and make her way to the rooftop and spend some time with the plants. Umemiya finds her asleep one day on the roof and promises that if she needs to talk, the plants are great at listening.

"everything is TERRIBLE if I talk about it the plants will WILT"

Ume tells her to tell the tomatoes then.

He also leaves a blanket in the stairwell for next time.

She once teased umemiya by calling him Papa Ume and he cried (again).

Walks with Sakura to school every day - neither of them are morning people so they usually look like miserable ghouls haunting the streets until nice people feed them bread.
