August 10th 2025 - Mickey’s Birthday Timeline

8:05 - Mickey tells Ian to go back to sleep when Ian tries to kiss him awake, he’s not getting up this early on his goddamn birthday

9:14 - Ok, maybe Mickey will wake up now, he can practically feel Ian vibrating in excitement behind him

9:15 - Special awakening courtesy of Ian

10:03 - A shower (very necessary after the way Ian woke Mickey up….twice)

10:39 - Breakfast of coffee and cupcakes, back in bed and naked (“I don’t wanna put clothes on when it’s my birthday, Ian!)

10:50 - Clothes (boxers and t-shirts) are on for the ‘surprise’ family FaceTime group call

10:57 - That’s enough now. Mickey tells everyone thanks and bye.

11:05 - Making out

11:12 - Clothes come off again

12:01 - Knock on the door, Ian makes Mickey put on boxers to go answer - the sneaky bastard has ordered takeout from Mickey’s favourite place

12:03 - They devour the food on the balcony, Mickey shares his commentary about everyone they can see from up here (spoiler: everyone’s a douchebag) and Ian laughs a little too loud causing at least one person to notice

12:45 - Ian brings out presents! He makes sure to take 1 million photos of Mickey opening them despite Mickey telling him to fuck off

12:59 - Ian brings out more cupcakes! And some weed!

13:41 - Mickey takes a nap on the couch

19:19 - Mickey stops sulking when they arrive at a gay bar that exclusively plays rock/heavy metal

19:20 - Ian is smug at finding such a good place

19:21 - When they order drinks, Ian tells the bartender that it’s Mickey’s birthday

19:22 - Mickey is annoyed but then very happy when the bartender gives him a free drink

19:23 - Someone overhears and sends over a shot for Mickey

19:34 - Mickey is telling everyone who will listen that it’s his birthday so he can get free drinks

20:25 - Mickey is very tipsy. Ian makes him drink some water alongside the free drinks

20:28 - Ian is enjoying the fact that Mickey really wants to hug him and tell everyone that they’re married

20:49 - More free shots from fellow customers

21:00 - Ian makes Mickey drink more water

21:36 - Mickey loudly sings the words to Be Aggressive by Faith No More as it plays over the speakers

21:37 - Ian asks Mickey ‘is this song about-’

21:38 - Mickey shouts ‘sucking dick’ at the exact moment the song ends. Someone cheers

21:39 - Ian signals to the bartender that they don’t need the drink someone’s trying to send them

21:47 - Making out

21:50 - Mickey’s tired, he wants to take a nap

21:51 - Ian suggests that the sticky bar booth is not the best place for sleep

21:52 - Mickey launches into a long speech about how much he loves Ian

21:56 - Ian can’t stop smiling as he tells Mickey all the ways he loves him

22:02 - Mickey really is going to pass the fuck out so Ian decides it’s time to go

22:38 - Mickey arrives home via piggyback from Ian

22:29 - Mickey strips, dropping his clothes on the floor, as he goes to the bedroom. Ian gets them both water

23:00 - Mickey demands that Ian spoon him and thanks him for a fuckin’ perfect birthday

23:01 - Ian holds him close and tells him he loves him. He knows Mickey would say it back if hadn’t fallen asleep

Gyro Gearloose is a femboy in my art. I know it's weird for all of you, that you might think "noooo! Don't feminize him!" and "that's weird! Yuck!". Yeah, I've been having thoughts like that, which made me really afraid to post some fanart of Gyro in girly poses, but I know in reality that all of you don't do that because this is tumblr! We can do what we want!

But, yeah. I just wanted to admit that Gyro Gearloose is a femboy in my own art and style. Some of you are gonna find it weird and I'm totally okay with that, because no one has ever drawn him like that before.

This is very true, anon. He’s so patient here. A whole two seconds! He was really trying hard. He really is the epitome of self control 😅😅😅 Honestly, considering the circumstances, how could he have done anything else? To be fair, Ian had no choice. It really was out of his hands.

I’m always here for hickeys/bitemarks discussion! I think you are 100% correct that Mickey’s thighs are covered in hickeys and bitemarks. How can they NOT be?!

I just know that Ian is so excited to be married and he’s chomping and biting and nuzzling and sucking and Mickey is sprawling out on the bed, a smirk on his face as Ian does so. Mickey’s so excited too! Because for so long he didn’t want Ian to make any marks but now he wants alllll the hickeys. And now they can do it whenever they want!

It’s so hot but they are both getting emotional- because they have come so far? And they can do this? All the time? They’re doing their best not to…uh…get distracted on their security job but um….

And Ian is swerving into an empty alleyway and somehow they’re in the back of the ambulance and somehow they don’t manage to make the rest of their pickups 😅

Thinking about this scene from s3. That “who gives a shit? It’s a fucking piece of paper” line is so interesting because I feel like Mickey probably told himself that over and over again to deal with what was happening. He tries to pretend that there’s nothing serious between him and Ian - “we can still bang”. He’s desperately trying to navigate an impossible situation- to do what Terry wants while trying to keep Ian. And Ian’s desperately trying to keep Mickey too but also fight for what he knows they have - love.

It’s so heartbreaking because they are both so desperate and they are both trying to fight for each other but in very different ways. I think Mickey is genuinely trying to protect Ian and what they have in the only way he knows how while Ian is attempting to save Mickey and what they have in the only way he can think of.
