1.) Explain why you ship Scott/Issac?

I think I'll keep it short, but I should say that it's mostly because the way Scott makes Isaac realise things. Scott gets Isaac down from his Derek-fuelled werewolf high and even if he is still has urges to punch people (i.e., Ethan & co, which, fair enough, we all know what happened there). Scott makes Isaac change half-way through S2 and especially in S3. Scott cares for him, and expects nothing in return, and then Isaac realises that's the best thing that has ever happened to him and Scott becomes his point of reference for everything. It also helps that the show really gave us four/five scenes where we see the mutual devotion/care/love that develops between them. Most important: all this chemistry is actual canon, it's not something that my deluded mind concocted. I may see heart eyes in Isaac looking at Scott, but I would like to think that I am not making mental gymnastics to get there.

I think it is a fantastic relationship and it offers SO MANY possibilities. I love writing them.

Also, there's the fact that both Tyler Posey and Daniel Sharman are stupidly fit and were so handsome in Teen Wolf. That helped, perhaps?

2.) Favorite headcanon for Scott/Issac?

This is a very unfair question, because I have too many. I don't think I can select just one favourite one! I like to think they go to college together and get a little flat in Davis. I like to think that Isaac does French and Spanish at uni and gets Scott to learn Spanish with him so he can talk with his older relatives in Spanish. I like to think that Scott took Isaac to the old Lahey house to collect whatever belongings he had left and they find the few things of Camden's that Mr Lahey had not thrown away. I like to think that Isaac felt Theo killing Scott while he was in France and that he one day will come back to Beacon Hills and hit Theo square in the face with a shovel while he delivers a witty one-liner - and then makes Theo apologise to Scott and to Mrs McCall. I like to believe that Scott has in his wardrobe Isaac's lacrosse jersey, and that every now and then he opens the wardrobe and stares at it, touchiung it slightly. I like to think that Isaac took with him a bottle of Scott's shower gel to France, but that he does not dare use it, and just likes to give it a snif to think about his days in the McCall house.

I just have way too many, I'm afraid.

After watching Zack Snyder's Justice League cut what Whedon did to Ray Fisher is even more egregious. He went from an also ran in Whedon's version to the heart of the team and movie in Snyder's.

It really just solidifies what a horrendous person Whedon really is. I'm ashamed to say it took me so long to see and admit that.

I understand that Snyder's vision for these characters isn't isn't everyone, but at the very least, in his version of Justice League, he actually allowed them to be fully fledged characters as opposed to the two-dimensional caricatures we're used to seeing in these big budget superhero teamup movies. All six of these main characters were given equal treatment by Zack, even if its not necessarily development that fans of the comics like or agree with.

In particular, what comes to mind aside from Cyborg is how the Amazons were used between the two versions of the film.

Ray Fisher's Cyborg in the Snyder Cut defined that whole movie, and I know it's four hours but I highly recommend anyone who wants to see the continuation of Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman to check it out.

Working Hard To Make Derek a Villain

There is a reason post that says "The show worked hard to make Derek Hale a villian" and even if that was true it just goes to show just how much fandom will excuse white men's behavior that even stalking, assaulting, and threatining to murder a 16 hear old kid isn't enough to have people say Derek was a bad guy.

Remember the time when Tyler Posey was asked about who he’d want back for the final episode, and he said he’d like to have Derek because, to paraphrase, he’d like Derek to see that for all his fucked-up teaching, Scott turned out to be a pretty good guy, and fandom lost its collective shit?  

There are parts of fandom who believe that what Derek did to Scott in Seasons 1 & 2 were for Scott’s own good and not violent, manipulative and fucked-up.

There are Reddit discussions where people state that ‘the writers did Derek dirty from the start,’ and it demonstrates unconscious racial bias at the very core.  Their sheer incredulity at the idea that the writers of Teen Wolf meant for Derek to be an antagonist from Episode 1 is emblematic, because good-looking white men can’t be antagonists to heroes of color.

This fandom will go on and on about Scott seemingly not telling Stiles about his plan to defeat Gerard’s quest for the Bite, even though Stiles was not involved in the set-up or execution of that plan, it didn’t endanger him at all, and the audience can’t actually know whether Stiles was told or not, but think it’s okay for Derek to let Scott think that it was Derek who bit him and not the vicious, insane alpha mind-controlling him for three whole episodes.

This fandom will go on and on about Scott pretending to work with Gerard in Season 2 after direct physical threats to him and his mother, but think it’s understandable that Derek would betray Scott to Peter in Co-Captain (1x10) because sister-killer or not, Peter is family.  

This fandom will stubbornly refuse to recognize the parallel between Code Breaker (1x12) where Derek lied to Scott about the cure (either the cure was real, in which case Derek never meant to let Scott have it or the cure was not real in which case he used it to manipulate Scott) and after revealing his deception, turned to Scott and said “I’m the alpha now” and the end of Master Plan (2x12) where Scott is revealed to have lied to Derek about what Derek wanted -- Scott to join his pack -- and after revealing his deception, turned to Derek and said “You may be an alpha, but you’re not mine.”  

It’s like arguing with Flat Earthers.  

There’s no other explanation that fits all the details.  If they’re obsessed with Derek over his looks, his misbehavior doesn’t change that.  If they’re obsessed with Derek over his brokenness, his misbehavior reinforces that.  There’s only one reason that members of the fandom would have to try to justify all the actions that Derek took and then turn around and condemn Scott for taking actions that are barely similar.  

But it’s not racism.

No matter how many times they try and say Tyler Posey is white it won't make it true. Tyler Garcia Posey is Mexican. Has always been Mexican. Will always be Mexican. And as a result of that had dealt with a racist fandom who continues to excuse his treatment as something he deserved and wasn't "all that bad"

The Hale fire happened six years before the start of TW, and as we all know, the trauma of being burned alive so affected Peter Hale, he simply can not be held accountable for any of his actions in...

First off, and I said this yesterday too, y’all invent so many situations for non-Scott Fandom that I’m not even sure if you know what’s real anymore. 

I don’t get the timing thing, because the show was six seasons, but the time in Beacon Hills that passed was less than 3 years (a little more depending on what kind of timejump you think happened in the finale since it’s never said). 

But what does Peter’s six years of trauma have to do with Scott? And I’d also like to point out that Peter showing Scott MERE SECONDS of his pain does not equate to Scott a) understanding the depth of what Peter went through or b) experiencing it himself. That’s a ridiculous argument and one y’all need to put to bed. 

Just because I’ve watched Handmaid’s Tale doesn’t mean I get what it’s like to be sexually assaulted and raped and it would be INSULTING and gross for me to claim that. 

Additionally, Peter’s trauma adds context to his actions, but it doesn’t excuse them, it never has. He killed Laura for goodness sakes, not one Steter or Peter fan has glossed over that and to imply that even a majority of them do is again condescending and insulting. 

I get y’all like to get hard for Scott and get the SJW kudos for supporting the lightest skinned half Mexican you could find, but maybe use actual facts and stop making up nonsense to attack others with?

Scott McCall: Maybe both. Either way, I’m getting to that diverter.

When another anon is offended that I talk about the racism in the Teen Wolf fandom I'm going to send them here. This is a post (an old one) that I reblogged and that others who agreed with the...

It’s kind of disheartening when you know you’re winning to argument so you jump to race. 

Your friend literally tried to dismiss Sheriff’s alcohol problem calling it “minor” so that it wouldn’t look like a big deal to Stiles. And yet, when we mention that the show really took the piss out of Scott’s trauma story, downgrading it from abuse to a bump on the head, it’s our fault and we’re racist. Your politics aren’t even right. There’s an argument to be made, but you can’t get past your pettiness to even do it right. 

You can’t say that you were just trying to equalize Scott when the post in question tried to prove he had MORE trauma than Stiles. Like, you did this.

Stop using racism to fill in the gaps of your shoddy arguments and actually talk about what’s being said.

Isn't it something when Anti-Scott and anon assholes tell us that Scott hasn't faced the same kind of racism that other moc have faced in fandom (usually by trying to whitewash him) just to pretend that they aren't just like reylos and yet...

They somehow paint both Scott and Finn with the exact same brush of criticism. Black and brown men needing to "control" white women.

You can't point that out to them, because they then flood your inbox trying to play to the emotions of anyone else who reads these asks by trying to insinuate that we are implying that what Tyler goes through is just as bad, if not worse, than what a dark-skinned black man like John goes through.

Doesn't matter how many times you point out that the type of racism that the two actors face is different, they try to turn it into a competition in an effort to prove how Tyler is horrible or whatever they're claiming at the moment.

Doesn't matter either when we point out that these "fans" use the exact same tactics when it comes to both actors in their respective roles as the hero-protagonists of their respective franchises. We watched them repeatedly sideline Scott and Finn in favor of white characters that in some cases had barely any screentime or in some cases were outright villains. And their justification for that was always to fall back on arguments that rely heavily on racist stereotypes.

How many times have we seen people in the Teen Wolf fandom call Scott "sexually obsessed" with Allison or incredibly stupid when compared to his white counterparts? How many times did we see people call Finn abusive or controlling because just based on that scene - one scene! - in The Force Awakens when he grabs Rey's hand to pull her away from incoming TIE fighters that were shooting at them? Where comparatively you have scenes like Stiles just knowing Lydia's dress size or sleeping outside of her hospital room and Kylo Ren gaslighting Rey for all of The Last Jedi is somehow seen by these very same people as romantic or justified.

Like the screencaps you provided, how often is canon twisted beyond recognition to fit this narrative that they're trying to spin to make these characters less viable as any kind of romantic option? Or even just letting them be seen in a positive light? I know we talk about how the Teen Wolf and Star Wars fandoms are some of the most racist out there, but why are these people so threatened by the fact that a man of color leading a television show/film franchise?
