wada sez: Continuing on from yesterday’s strip, this one shows the flipside of what’s happening in the medbay. It plays on the physical resemblances between Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus, flirting with the idea of Ultra Magnus’ white inner robot being related to Optimus Prime somehow (though it never says this outright) and explaining that his blue-and-red armored appearance as seen in the Sunbow cartoon was based on Optimus Prime. The absence of the Omnibots from the G1 cartoon also appears to be explained here, where they’re seen to die. A relettered preview panel, with dialogue between Perceptor and Ultra Magnus lifted from The Transformers: The Movie, is included below.
