I know you’ve seen the news regarding the new CN projects, here are my major impressions. AT Sidequests is the most interesting to me since we’re going back to an episodic format, but I do wonder if somebody else will portray Finn. Shada has undeniably made the role of Finn but he’s nearly 30, if we’re going back to when Finn was 12 I just don’t think I can suspend my disbelief. Second exactly what will be the focus of the new Regular Show series. It doesn’t look like we’re going back to square one but I do wonder what types of stories can unfold in the interim between the parks return from space and the reunion that capped everything off. Are you also excited to learn that Mr Quintel is working on an adaptation of a YA comic? I’ll be interested to see how does with adapting someone else’s work rather than just strictly sticking to his own story.
hmm i do agree that it will be kind of weird having shada play young finn again considering his voice has changed so much, but personally i can't imagine anyone else playing him. i guess we'll see what happens. it will be hard for me to suspend my belief too though 😅
i'm also really interested to see what the new regular show will be about. i'm sort of hoping it's about the time between the finale and the epilogue like you said. i think there's so much to explore there and it would match the vibe of close enough that had young parents learning to balance their social lives with their family and professional ones. if it's not that, then it will probably not even be about mordecai and rigby and instead be a spinoff entirely about a side character like techmo or thomas or something lol
i actually just found out about mutant academy. if i hear good things about it maybe i'll check it out. i mostly just have a lot of faith in jq quintel's work since i've liked everything he's put out so far a lot
