Sam. Wilson. Is. No. One's. Therapist.
PLEASE stop writing, analyzing, and looking at him as just that! he left that career back in Washington.
is he understanding? yes. does he genuinely care about people? yes. but does that mean he has to be up to every single mess going in anyone's head and is obligated to be there to fix things and put them back together? hell no.
he suffered and still suffers too. he lost a friend before his own eyes and couldn't save him, he lost his parents, he has a widowed sister and nephews he's struggling to support, he has a falling business that he will always struggle with, he was on the run for two years, he was gone off earth for five years, he was ditched by a friend, he was handed a very very heavy responsibility without even being asked about it, he sees death everyday, he makes huge choices everyday, he faces racism and prejudice, he has to live with the life he had in the army too, he has PTSD and he worries about things and is anxious about things.
if you want sam to acknowledge every single issue a character has and to play therapist, then you have to acknowledge his issues too.
stop acting like sam wilson is a one layered character and that layer happens to be the sweet counselor.
