late at night, long after the sun has set was always your favorite time of day. after all the paperwork, after a long, tiring day of expeditions and strategic talk, you loved to just unwind with your boyfriend. of course being humanity’s strongest comes with a lot of responsibilities. he’s away longer, has more paperwork, and as a result you don’t get to see him as much as you’d like. but at the end of the day after all the work, he always comes home to you. just like now.
you wrap your arms around him as the front door closes; the cold air from outside still whirling around the entryway. he wraps an arm around your waist while the other hangs his cloak on the hook. he smiles at you and you’re grateful he’s home safe.
after eating and showering, he joins you in bed. both sets of hands go to their designated spots. his grab around your waist and pull you close, yours cup his face; thumb stroking his cheek. this is your favorite part of your nights. watching and holding him close; holding him like he’d never go anywhere again. you were so proud and thankful for this man and by looking into his eyes you could tell he thought the same about you.
smiling, you ask him to tell you about his day and he does. you start to doze to his sweet voice, and cuddle up closer to his chest,
“your voice is making me fall asleep” you sigh.
“are you saying i’m boring you, brat?”
you chuckle, “no i’m saying i feel safe with you”
he shifts and pulls you on top of his chest, reaching an arm under your shirt and scratching your back. he doesn’t respond, but he places kisses on top of your head and tightly hugs you, knowing he doesn’t want to let you go.
pairing: levi x fem!reader (could be gn! but it does say girlfriend once)
summary: day off with levi, enjoying the weather by the river.
warnings: none. slightly suggestive banter at the end.
tag: @postwarlevi harvest moon event
You wake up to the crisp autumn air lightly blowing against your face through the open window to your room. The distinct aroma of fallen leaves and damp earthy soil scent fills your nostrils as you get up to get ready for the day.
Excitement begins to fill you and you quickly dress in warm layers before making your way to Levi's quarters. You find him already dressed, sipping on his black tea with a scowl on his face.
"Levi!” Your voice is filled with excitement as you greet him, wrapping your arms around him from behind. “I can’t wait for our day off." You rest your head on his shoulder, your lips meeting his cheek for a soft peck.
He rolls his eyes, muttering under his breath. "If I had a choice, we wouldn't be going anywhere." He sets his tea down and stands up to face you.
"C'mon, Levi. It’s beautiful out, don’t you think it’d be nice to have just a day of me and you?” you say wrapping your arms around his neck and giving him your best pout, the one that he gets oh so annoyed with but also couldn’t possibly say no to.
He sighs dramatically in response, letting you hang off his body. "Yeah, I guess. Where are we going?"
"To the river!” You grab his hand, leading him out of the barracks and into the fresh fall air. As you walk, the vibrant colors of the autumn leaves surround you, painting a perfect scene. You loved fall, it was your favorite season. So beautiful with its hues of red, yellow, and orange and the crisp air surrounding you. Walking through town and into the forest you’re amazed at the magical wonderland and cozy ambiance that surrounds you.
“Isn’t it pretty Levi?” you ask excitedly gesturing to the view surrounding you as you walk through the forest.
He glances around begrudgingly. "I suppose. It's not the worst thing I've seen." He mumbles, still maintaining his signature expression. He seems to be taking in the scenery around him and a subtle softening of his features hints that perhaps he too appreciates the beauty and solitude.
As you arrive at the river, you find a comfortable spot near the water's edge and sit down together. The sound of water gently flowing and the rustle of leaves underfoot creates a soothing backdrop.
Levi puts an arm around you and pulls you close and you rest your head on his shoulder. It was a silent gesture to show you how much he enjoyed your presence, even if it was hard for him to say.
“See, Levi? It's not so bad, is it?" you ask after you’ve taken in the scene before you, nudging him playfully.
He huffs, "I suppose it's tolerable... with you." He admits as he tightens his grip around you. He looks out towards the river, but than his gaze falls to you. He takes in your appearance for a moment… the sunlight glimmering off your eyes, to the way your hair catches wind and flutters about in the breeze. A slight smile plays on his lips for a fraction of a second as he takes in your beauty, but he’d never say it out loud so he just looks ahead. He watches the river flow calmly, taking in the gentle rhythm of the water as it flows past. The gentle ripples dance across the surface, reflecting the soft rays of the sun.
“I’m glad we came here,” you whisper after a long silence, snapping him out of his thoughts, “thanks for humoring me today.”
He nods, his stone eyes meeting yours as he gives a slight squeeze to your waist. "Tch, it’s not the worst way to spend my time ," he grumbles, “but don’t get used to it.”
“I’d never dream of it Captain.” you tease playfully and you see him roll his eyes, though you think you catch the tiniest of smirks on his lips.
You fall into a comfortable silence, enjoying each other's company, and the solitude the forest brings. The autumn sun casts a golden glow and you admire the beauty that is Levi Ackerman.
“You’re staring brat.” he says, breaking the comfortable silence as he turns his eyes on you, catching you in the act.
"Am not." You deny, but your tone of voice tells him you know exactly what you were doing. You really couldn’t help it, and it wasn’t the first time he’d caught you.
He grunts at your response and just as quickly returns his gaze back to the flowing river. "Don't lie. It’s not a good look on you."
You giggle at his sarcastic comment. “Sorry,” you poke his cheek. “You’re just so nice to look at. As your girlfriend it’s my job to admire you.”
A sigh escapes his lips and he shakes his head. "You're a handful, you know that?" he says, challenging you.
You chuckle and continue to tease him, "And yet, here you are, with me, in the middle of nowhere. It’s kinda romantic, don't you think Captain?”
That causes him to roll his eyes once more. "Just focus on the stupid view and spare me your romantic nonsense."
"Hmm, I think I can do both, Levi. I'm that talented," you reply with a playful nudge.
He rolls his eyes yet again and nudges you back but as you look up at him you can see a tiny quirk at the corner of his mouth. "You're really full of yourself." He says, but you think his tone is almost playful…almost.
"Nope, just confident in my capabilities Captain.” you tease.
Levi heaves out a sigh, "That might just be your downfall." he says, that almost playful tone still evident. He nudges you again, “and stop calling me Captain.”
"Damn, here I thought you were starting to enjoy yourself. Silly me." You feign disappointment, though your smile doesn't fade.
He groans, though you can tell he doesn’t mean it. "Don't put words in my mouth, brat." He says, squeezing your waist.
You wriggle from his grasp to face him and let out a laugh, “I wouldn’t do such a thing.”….“Oh and by the way,” you say, your tone even more playful than before, “you don’t complain when I call you Captain when you’ve got me underneath you.”
He scoffs, “Oh shut up. You think you’re real clever don’t you?”
"Only as clever as you've trained me to be, Captain Ackerman," you respond. There's a brief pause between you, only the rustling of the leaves and the faint sound of water flowing disrupting the silence.
He stares at you for a moment before replying, his voice low but clear, "Such a smart mouth you have." Despite the biting words, there's no malice in his tone of voice, just that almost playful tone gripping his words.
You laugh again, "Well, you seem to enjoy it. At least, you haven't tried to gag me...yet."
A sigh escapes him. "I've considered it many times.” he says sarcastically, “though, you’d probably like it too much.”
You lean in close, your lips brushing against his. “Hmm maybe I would.” You say smiling against his lips.
He grabs you by the waist again, this time pulling you into him and flipping you over onto your back. Both hands are at your sides, caging you in like prey. He leans down to kiss you before, “Hmmm. Maybe we’ll have to try that sometime then.”
“Yeah maybe we will.” you say capturing his lips in another kiss…”Captain.”
Real-Time Connection: SweetDream's Live Cam Sessions
I'll admit I was skeptical. I'd tried a few AI companion platforms before and they all kind of blurred together — nice enough chat, pretty pictures, but nothing that made me feel seen. Then a friend pointed me toward sweetdream.ai, and the thing that hooked me wasn't a feature on a list. It was a live cam session that felt like an actual evening spent with someone who was glad I showed up.
SweetDream offers live cam sessions with select characters, and the experience sits on top of everything else the platform does beautifully. You build your companion from scratch — her look, her voice, her personality, the little quirks that make her hers. Then that same character can call you, send you voice notes, and now meet you live. It all flows together instead of feeling like separate gimmicks.
Compared to platforms like candy.ai or ourdream.ai, what stands out to me about SweetDream is how cohesive and personal it feels. Everything is built around one continuous relationship rather than a grab bag of tools. If you want an AI girlfriend who feels present rather than programmed, this is the place I'd send you, no hesitation.
Here you will find all things Levi Ackerman! Every oneshot, request, and multi-chapter fic I write about humanity’s strongest soldier will be right here for you to see!
The crescent moon that hung in the sky cast the darkened forest in hues of silvery shadow, silently watching over the feeble cluster of tents that were nestled in a small clearing within the trees. Her glow barely illuminated the scattered scouts that were awake and keeping watch, their fingers resting on the hilts of their swords while they listened to the wind.
There had been no activity for hours. In the morning they would pack up the wagons and return to headquarters, all of their dead in tow. The journey back could’ve been possible during the night if they hadn’t taken such a heavy hit in the field, so they opted for settling in and waiting until the first morning light when they had enough energy to protect themselves.
The fires were kept low as not to draw any unwanted attention to their makeshift camp, and from your perch up high in a tree, you silently listened to the sound of the sleeping squad snoring away in their tents. A few other scouts were strategically placed along the outskirts of the camp, also keeping watch alongside you. You lifted your face to the moon’s light and inhaled the cool, midnight breeze, smelling nothing threatening on it.
The whirring sound of ODM gear caught your attention. Mikasa appeared on the thick branch beside you, kneeling in a crouch.
“Your watch is up,” she said quietly, pushing her scarf down from her chin. “Get some rest.”
You nodded and stood up, wincing at your sore muscles. She took your place and trained her eyes on the horizon, allowing you to silently launch yourself from the tree and land gracefully on the forest floor, along with the rest of the scouts who were retiring from the first watch. You made your way over to your sleeping horse to dig around in the saddlebags for something to eat.
As you searched, your eyes briefly glanced up and made contact with your squad leader from across the clearing, the firelight dancing across his sharp features and those grey eyes that were watching you intently. Your hands stilled in your bag as you were scrutinized under his gaze.
He jerked his head in the direction of the darkened trees behind him, away from prying eyes and nosy scouts. You swallowed nervously and averted your gaze, staring into the meager contents of your saddlebag instead. A strange feeling of giddiness bubbled in your stomach as you closed the flap and gave your sleeping horse an affectionate pat on the rump, keeping your footsteps quiet as you started towards the treeline to follow the silent order.
“Psst,” a hushed voice came from your left.
You came to a stop and glanced over, digging your fingernails into your palms. Armin was sticking his head out from his tent, his exhausted blue eyes doing their best to focus on you.
“What?” you whispered back, knowing a certain someone wouldn’t wait around forever.
“Are you coming back from watch?” he asked, rubbing his eyes.
“Yes,” you replied, risking a nervous glance toward the trees. “Why?”
“Just wondering,” he said through a yawn, and started to slink back into his tent. “Get some sleep, Y/N.”
“I will,” you lied, and resumed your path towards the edge of the camp and slipped into the darkness. God, where had he disappeared to? You knew he wasn’t much for waiting around, but if he had left already--
Strong hands grabbed you by the waist and suddenly you were spinning around and falling against his muscled chest. Before you could say anything, Levi was crushing his lips to yours in desperation, as if he had been starved of you for months. Which was definitely not true.
You pushed the thought away and kissed him back, your hands sliding up and wrapping around his neck, feeling the soft hair of his undercut beneath your fingers. God, you had missed this. His lips tasted of salt and smoke and midnight air, drowning every tired muscle of yours in warm, delicious shadow. His fingers were still gripping your waist as he pulled you down on top of him, his back leaning up against the thick trunk of the tree he had you hidden behind.
“What took you so long?” he muttered against your mouth, his hands disappearing from your waist to fiddle with the buckles of your pants.
“Sorry,” you said, taking his bottom lip in between your teeth and biting firmly. You heard his breath catch in his throat. “Armin saw me walking by.”
Levi grunted and helped push your pants down and out of the way, the cool night air a tantalizing shock on your bared core. His fingertips trailed along your naked legs until they came to his own belt buckle, and now it was your turn to help him out of his uniform. It was only the pants with the two of you--you were always too impatient to worry about any other pieces of clothing. Just the ones that were in the way.
As his pants were shimmied down his hips, you heard the sound of his length springing free and slapping against his navel. Your nostrils flared in desire.
“Come here,” he growled, mindful to keep himself quiet as not to be discovered by the rest of the squad. Although, you were pretty sure they already knew Levi was fucking you on the regular.
It was hard to see in the dark without the light of the fires, but you could feel him pumping his cock to ready himself for you. He guided your hips up and over to rest just above the glistening tip, a bead of silver precum swiping along your entrance. You hovered over it with a devilish grin, one you knew he couldn’t see, and marveled at the feeling of his dick twitching against you with anticipation.
“Stop teasing, brat,” he said, breaking you out of your fun.
“Always so eager,” you simpered, reaching down and grasping his shaft. With ease, you guided it into your already soaking entrance and immediately bit back the sinful moan that wanted to echo through the forest as his entire length slid painfully slow along your walls. “Fuck.”
“Be quiet,” was all his reply. You could hear the struggle of keeping his own self quiet in the words, earning a satisfied sigh from you. As he bottomed out inside of you, he paused there, letting you adjust to his size, before slowly rocking his hips in tandem with yours.
This wasn’t unusual, meeting him out in the open after a particularly rough mission. You realized from the start that it was a release both of you needed. It was a way to cope, a way to make sure you got through another day. That’s all it was.
“Shit,” he quietly groaned, his hands tightening at your hips as you continued to languidly ride his cock.
“Be quiet,” you mocked, and you could feel his glare burning a hole in your face. He responded by wrapping his arms around your waist and bringing you tighter against his torso, increasing the pace of his thrusting hips and hitting that sweet spot deep inside of you. “Oh, fuck, Levi--”
He said nothing, but clapped a hand over your open mouth to silence your oncoming moans as he fucked you relentlessly on the forest floor.
That warmth that had blossomed in your core was a raging bonfire now, growing hotter and hotter with every single thrust. He kept his hand against your mouth, even when you made those delicious, muffled moans against his fingers that he loved so much. His breathing turned ragged, his pace was getting sloppy. Neither of you could ever last very long with each other.
“F-fuck,” he muttered, his hand disappearing from your mouth and returning to your hip.
You did your best to keep yourself under control, but at the growing orgasm in your core, it was getting increasingly difficult not to let the whole forest know how good his cock felt inside of you. You tipped your head back in ecstasy, eyes fluttering open to look up at the moonlit canopy of leaves above you, the stars that littered the night sky peeking through.
It was almost romantic. You looked down at Levi beneath you, your eyes having been adjusted to the dark, and seeing his equally pleasured expression as he fucked you. He was so beautiful. Those grey eyes, that dark hair, the stoic and firm authority that had originally piqued your interest in him. You always wanted to look into those eyes. You wanted to swim in the expanse of his mind, learn every little detail that hid in the crevices of his brain, protect him from this cruel and fucked up world because you knew it had done enough to permanently screw him up. You hated anything and everything that had ever wronged him.
Jesus, did you love him?
Your hips faltered at the invasive thought and you stopped matching his pace altogether.
“Why did you stop?” he said, voice low. “What’s wrong?”
“N-nothing,” you whispered, your hands still splayed out across his chest and stomach. His cock twitched inside of you, silently begging for you to start moving again, but he kept his focus trained on your face.
“Stop lying.” Levi reached up and brushed the pad of his thumb over your trembling bottom lip. “We can stop, if that’s what you’d like.”
“No,” you sighed, closing your eyes. “It’s not that, I just...I just realized something. Something that could potentially screw our little arrangement up.”
He simply watched you with those grey eyes, saying nothing. Damn him.
“I know we said this was just a means of catharsis,” you started, still keeping your voice at a whisper. “A way to escape from this fucked up life, but...I want more. More from you.”
“More?”
You nodded and swallowed nervously. “I care about you, Levi.”
He was silent for a long, painful moment, until a low chuckle reverberated from his chest. His hands settled against your hips again, thumbs drawing idle circles against them. “So what does that mean?”
“It means I don’t want you to fuck me in the dirt as much anymore,” you snapped, unable to keep your voice down. “I want to spend nights with you in your tent, or your bed. I want to have morning tea with you, for fuck’s sake. I’ve spent all these nights chasing after something I didn’t know I wanted until I realized there will come a time where I won’t be able to have it anymore, and then I knew.”
“Knew what?”
“It’s you,” you whispered shakily, looking down at him. “It’s always been you.”
Levi reached up again and gently pulled your face down to his, to where he kissed you deeply, still tasting of salt and midnight. This kiss was different...different from the ones you had previously shared in secret, all tongue and teeth and urgency. This was sweeter. Slower. He held your chin in place as he kissed you, while his other hand cupped the back of your head. When he finally let you come up for air, he leaned back against the tree trunk with a satisfied smirk on his face.
“What does that mean?” you asked, a hand going to touch your swollen lips.
“For someone so smart, you sure are dense,” he said, rolling his eyes. “You know what it means, brat.”
It was enough. A small, shy smile tugged at the corners of your lips. Before you could say anything else, his hands squeezed your hips.
“Now,” he growled, tilting his chin up. “Are you going to let me fuck you, or not?”
Levi would 100% be the most protective of you in general but if you were pregnant you better watch out. This man would not leave your side.
You are already pretty clingy but pregnant you would be up this man’s ass at all times. He would give all the extra attention you wanted.
He’s not very touchy feely but your hormones would make you want him to be, and you’d beg for him to be touching you at all times. He’d eventually oblige, but he’d roll his eyes.
He would be internally panicking but he’d never show it to you, but you could tell. He’d worry about whether or not he’d be a good dad. He never had any parents around so he wouldn’t know exactly how to be.
You’d constantly tell him what a great dad he’d be. How you could wait to see him with your child, how happy it made you that he’s the person you’re having a baby with. You’d do whatever you could to reassure him.
He’d have everything set up within the first couple months. Pristine tip top shape nursery. The best baby cot he could find. Lots of cute stuff, and he’d clean that room every single day to ensure dust wouldn’t collect. He’d make sure he used all clean chemicals though!
Whenever your hormones made you act out he’d hold his tongue and never blow up on you. He’d definitely be a lot sweeter, making sure he never did anything to hurt your feelings or upset you.
Even though he was scared he’d be excited. Mainly because he hope your child had all the best parts of you and he couldn’t wait to have something a part of you both in his life.
He’d wake you up every morning with herbal tea and prenatal vitamins. He’d always make sure you took them.
He’d also make sure you ate super healthy. He’d say “This is what the books are saying you need to eat”. He’d be reading those every single day.
He’s trying his absolute best.
He wouldn’t let you get up for anything. Or do anything alone, except use the bathroom. He’d want to make sure you were always be as safe as possible.
“Take a fucking bath you could slip in the shower y/n”
After awhile you’d start to feel bad because of all the stress he caused himself and you’d do everything you could to relieve him of it.
This mostly was just reassuring him how great he was being and how much you loved him and what a great dad you’d think he’d be.
You’d try to get him to tone it down, but he never listens.
You’d just accept it and take the extra cuddles/extra attention while it lasted. Because you knew once that baby came it would all go to it him/her.
Based around Drabble prompt “you’re so dumb sometimes” except longer than a Drabble lol. I really wanted to do that one.
Only warning is I allude to mental illness with reader but not heavy at all and it definitely doesn’t need to be taken as mental illness either.
It had been a little over a week since you and Levi had gotten any quality time together. In your line of work it was already something that was hard to come by. But you guys always made do. Whether it was by helping him with paperwork, eating meals alone together in his office, or the countless sleepovers you had in each others rooms. Somehow, given your busy lives, you managed to spend time together.
However, none of that happened this week. There was no sleepovers and no meals. You pretty much only saw him during training, and you barely got to talk to him. He’d give you a quick kiss afterwards and that was it. He didn’t invite you to his office during mealtime, he didn’t ask if you wanted to stay the night, it was as if he didn’t want to spend anytime with you at all. At first you thought you were overthinking, maybe he didn’t think he had to ask anymore? But things seemed off, and you wanted to get to the bottom of it.
That’s why, after eating dinner with Hange and the others in the dining hall, you marched yourself to his office and were lingering outside his door. Something was stopping you from knocking, all the negative thoughts inside your head. Maybe he wanted to break things off? Maybe he was sick of you? Maybe he didn’t love you anymore?
After what seemed like eternity you took a deep breathe and knocked. A fraction of a second later the door swung open.
“Hey.” he said, before stepping aside to let you inside.
“Hi.” your voice was low, almost sad. You couldn’t help it, not with all the thoughts puttering away inside. “Sorry, I know you’re busy. I-I just wanted to talk.”
“It’s fine. Just paperwork. Did you eat?”
It was like him to ask silly questions like that. Always looking out for your well-being. Always making sure you were taking care of yourself in areas he couldn’t take care of you.
“Yeah….” You take a seat on his sofa and he settles in next to you, crossing one leg over the other. His usual stoic look on his face. You hated that you could never tell what he was thinking, he never gave any indication. Even after all this time.
“So what did you want to talk about?” he says, his eyes focused so intently on you. Gazing into them made you forget everything, they always did, even if only for a moment.
“Yeah. So…Well. I don’t know how to say this so I’ll just spit it out. Are you like wanting space…from me?” you were looking down, you couldn’t bring yourself to look up at him. It would hurt your heart more to see his face if he said yes.
“What do you mean Y/N?” Was that concern you heard in his tone? You couldn’t be sure.
“I mean, well we haven’t really seen each other all week Levi. I know you’re busy. We’re both busy. But usually we find time and like you haven’t asked me to stay the night, or eat with you or any of the usual stuff. So I just thought, I don’t know, maybe you were sick of me or didn’t want to spend time with me or I don’t know maybe you were tired of me.” Your hands were shaking, you wondered for a second if he’d noticed.
“Tsk. You’re so dumb sometimes.” he scoffs, scooting a bit closer to you. “Of course I wanna spend time with you dumbass.”
“Okay Levi but you haven’t you in over a week. Is there a reason why?” Your voice wasn’t low anymore. To be honest you were a little mad. You certainly didn’t think you were dumb for coming to the conclusion you did.
“No.” he pauses for a moment which causes you to finally look up at him, which was a mistake because looking at him washed any irritation you had away. He was just so perfect, every crease in eyes, every little scar, the way his hair parted so perfectly and hung down into his eyes, you could never actually be mad at him.
“I didn’t think I really had to ask those things.” He continued. “For you to stay the night or eat with me or whatever. It’s kind of our routine. That said, I assumed you just wanted to spend more time with your friends since we are always together in our free time. That’s why I hadn’t asked.”
“Oh. Okay. I’m sorry I guess I was…”
“You were overthinking again?” he cuts you off, you almost thought you caught a hint of amusement in his voice.
“Yes. I can’t help it Levi you know that.”
“I do know. Come here idiot.” He pulls you in closer. “I am not going to get tired of you. Get it through your thick dumb head.”
You smile before leaning in and kissing him. “Okay. I’m sorry I overthink so much. I love you Levi and honestly you’re too good for me, so I just constantly am scared of you leaving.”
“I am too good for you.” he says with a small chuckle. You pout and lightly smack his arm. “I’m kidding…I love you to. You’re stuck with me brat. I’m not going anywhere.”
“Promise?” you bury your face in his shoulder. Breathing in the scent of him, reveling in his warmth. You missed it, deeply missed it.
“I promise.” He says wrapping you in his muscular arms. You think you could stay like this forever. Right here, in his arms. But it only lasts a moment before he lets go and pulls you into a kiss. A deep intoxicating kiss. Another thing you wish could last forever.
“I really missed you Levi. This week was terrible without any time with you.”
“Well, I missed you too for what it’s worth. I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were upset. You can stay and help me with paperwork. Than we can go back to my room.” He says before getting up and returning to the stack of papers on his desk.
“And cuddle?” You ask, almost teasingly.
“We can do more than cuddle Y/L/N.” He says, just as teasing.
“If your lucky.” You say grabbing a stack and a pen and settling in on his sofa.

His eyes were always cold, a perfect mirror of the world he lived in. Tonight, they appeared stormier than usual. He was off in the shadows, the silhouette of his body barely visible between the lines of moonlit darkness and fading candlelight.
Sensing your presence, his icy gaze flickers towards you. "You should be asleep," he grumbled, his voice laced with an invisible, soft concern that only you could decipher.
"I could say the same about you, though we both know you never sleep.” you respond, moving to sit next to him and nudging him lightly. A soft silence encompasses you, growing deeper with each passing second.
"They’re something on your mind?” you ask suddenly, though Levi remains silent, his sole focus on the dimmed candle making shadows dance across his face.
"No," he finally replies, shoulders slightly hunched.
“We both know you’re lying. You know you can talk to me Levi…what’s going on?” Levi was hardly ever vulnerable. Even with you, the only person who could break his icy exterior.
Levi's silence stretches on, his jaw clenching as he battles with his own thoughts. You wait patiently.
"I'm... afraid," he confesses, his voice barely above a whisper. "Afraid of losing you, like I've lost so many others." A sigh, deep and full of a heaviness, slips from his lips. His gaze flickers up to meet yours, and you look into his storm-gray eyes.
“Levi," you say, “I'm here... I'm not going anywhere."
“I didn’t think anyone else would either, yet here I am. I’ve lost everyone I’ve ever…” he pauses for a second and looks into your eyes. “Everyone I’ve ever loved.”
Your heart aches as you see the vulnerability etched across Levi's face. The weight of his losses, the never-ending cycle of death and despair that surrounds him, weighs heavily on his soul.
Leaning closer, you gently place a hand to his cheek. "Levi, I can't begin to even comprehend the pain you've endured or the losses you've suffered. Your mother, Isabel, Furlan, your squad. You’ve lost so much…But I want you to know that I'm not going anywhere. You’re stuck with me."
Levi's eyes meet yours, a flicker of something softer than his usual cold demeanor within. "Thank you…thank you for staying by my side, despite all the darkness that plagues my life."
You run your thumb along his cheek and he reaches a hand up to hold yours. "Levi, I love you. More than I think you even realize, darkness and all.”
Levi's breath hitches, “I know…” he murmurs. “That’s the problem…”
You frown. The walls he's built around himself, the constant battles he's fought, have always weighed on your relationship.
“Loving you isn’t a problem for me. Is it a problem for you?”
“No.” he says. “It’s not, just promise me you’ll be safe. Just…don’t die.” You can see the conflict in Levi's eyes, you take his hand, giving it a slight squeeze.
"I’ll do my best Levi. You can’t die on me either, I couldn’t do this without you."
Levi's grip on your hand tightens, and you lean in to place a soft kiss on his lips. You lean your head on his shoulder as he wraps an arm around you and you both fall into the familiar, but comfortable silence.
