The Fifty-Third spirit is President Camio, or Caim. In the form of a bird called a thrush at first, but afterwards He puts on the shape of a man carrying in his hand a sharp sword. Camio can be invoked for divination of any type. Wear his sigil to see into any situation you encounter. He seems to answer in burning ashes, or in coals of fire. He is a good disputer. His office is to give unto men the understanding of all birds, lowing of bullocks, barking of dogs, and other creatures; and also of the voice of the waters. Camio teaches the art of astral projection, shape shifting and flying in the dream. He gives true answers of all things to come. Caim is useful in legal functions and other situations where you need to dispute conclusions drawn by interpretations of fact. This is a handy spirit to have if a case is brought against you based largely on circumstantial evidence. He is also adept at teaching the understanding of omens and portents. He was of the Order of the Angels, but now rules over thirty legions of spirits Infernal.

Cleansings- cleaning your space of negative energies. You can burn herbs or incense for this.

Banishings- forcing negative energies out of your space. The lesser banishing ritual is one of the most commonly used.

Warding- wards keep negative energy out of your space. Amulets, sigils and talismans do this.

Set up a your space and do a cleanse and banishing. Have wards up in your home. Meditation is to calm yourself and get your mind ready. The sigil (symbol) is what you draw on paper. The enn is what you chant or say to call forth the spirit.⬩

Hello. Would you happen to know anything about President Camio?

I know some bare basics, although I have not personally worked with him.

Camio (also Caim, Caym) appears in "Ars Goetia," the first part of "Lesser Key of Solomon" as a Great President of Hell, ruling over thirty legions of demons.

He is a good disputer, gives men the understanding of the voices of birds, bullocks, dogs, and other creatures, and of the noise of the waters too, and gives true answers concerning things to come.

He is depicted in 19th and 20th century occultist illustrations as appearing in the form of the black bird called a thrush, but soon he changes his shape into a man that has a sharp sword in his hand. When answering questions he seems to stand on burning ashes or coals.

Other authors consider Camio a 'Prince' of Jinnestan instead and depict him as a man wearing rich and elegant clothes, and the head and wings of a blackbird.

You can easily find his sigil by googling it.

That is about the extent of knowledge I have on this particular demon.

Using the methods in Ars Goetia is not a good idea.

Chapter 4: 1964

Joey stood in his kitchen, staring at the closed door on which the light from the hallway behind him cast his shadow. There was nothing about its appearance that would warrant such attention. It looked quite ordinary, like the others, and yet it had not been built with the house.

And no one on this earth could have made another like it.

Not so long ago, he passed it so often that it was never completely closed. Why bother? He was so passionate about his experiments that he only came home to eat and sleep, and nothing on the other side could have hurt him. He was the master, wasn't he? The founder of the sepia world behind the door, if not its true creator. He was the one who had dictated its design and rules to the demon. He had thought he was perfectly safe there.

But he had also believed that the demon would do its job properly.

Certainly, he was not so full of himself as not to consider that he was involved. After all, Caym had been the first, but mostly the only demon to respond to his invocations. Joey knew he was an under-researched amateur who had tried everything with only a book of black magic and vague memories of his youth. It was extraordinary that he had managed to summon, coerce and negotiate a contract with a demon! He could very well have made mistakes, small enough not to cost him his life immediately, but enough to weaken certain restrictions. It might have explained why nothing he had asked for had been done as he had thought: there was always some condition or flaw that made things difficult. Not impossible, not entirely daunting. But really complicated.

That was explanation enough. Yet deep down he knew it couldn't be just that. Behind requiring the presence of a soul close to the character to create a toon, or making such a corrupted version of his Studio in his own home, there was a real willingness to misinterpret the instructions. He shouldn't have been surprised. After all, Caym was a demon. Why shouldn't he be expected to cheat, when he himself had spent a good deal of his time conning those who made the mistake of believing him? He had always tried to stay one step ahead, finding the right words, the right strategy to get what he wanted, but always thinking of a way out if necessary.

If his main mistake had been trusting a demon, he had not fallen so low as to forget his conservation reflexes.

So he'd found a way to prohibit anything from coming back from behind the door. One could enter, circulate in the "fake Studio", as he had called it, but nothing could leave without his approval. The demon was trapped there. Joey could live again without the constant terror of being attacked again.

He knew it wasn't enough to hold Caym when he died and the demon claimed his soul. But by preventing him from hastening the moment of his death, he was giving himself time to look for a way to avoid paying what he owed him.

Joey looked at the door handle. He almost expected to see it turn before his eyes, but it stayed still. There was no sound from the other side. He sighed, then turned his back on the door to return with difficult to the living room.

Now he had to find a way out of this mess.
