Zodiac Academy by Susanne Valenti and Caroline Peckham I never expected this series to grab my heart the way it did, but dammit if I don't love each and every one of these jerks. It is ridiculous, insane, and also shockingly sweet at times.

I'm almost done with Heartless Sky and I am wondering why I volunteered for this pain.

Y'all, I don't get how Zodiac Academy is so popular. It reads like 2008 quizilla fanfiction (iykyk) but BookTok also recommended Den of Vipers which is even worse so I don't know why I expect any different.

I'm only about a quarter of the way through Book 2, but here are some thoughts:

- Diego is a blantant stereotype of anyone that speaks Spanish and it's so obvious the authors have never been around anyone of Spanish or Latin descent

- The writing between Tory and Darcy is the exact same and I often find myself forgetting whose POV I'm reading. They also have the exact same personality. The only thing distinguishing them was the blue in Darcy's hair (RIP).

- 3rd person limited writing would have significantly helped with the above ^ especially as more POVs are added starting in book 2 onward.

- My own personal grudge, but why call them Fae if there isn't any actual faeries? Surely they could have come up with something different. I know it's becoming more commonplace to use 'fae' to represent any fantasy creature now.

- There are entirely too many 'Order forms'. I'd suggest one 'order form' per zodiac sign (Pisces = siren, Taurus = Minotaur, Sagittarius = centaur, Leo = gryphon or chimera, Capricorn = satyr, etc.)

- All of the teachers/faculty suck

- If it's a mirror world, why aren't they learning any college level general education? Surely they would all still need math, history, English, etc?

- Darcy's backstory for her blue hair was really stupid but I guess I would think it's deep if I was 18 while reading this

- Max and Seth are the worst of the boys and I hate reading about them

- I also just find the entire world setting really cringy and I can't believe 2 adult women older than me came up with it.

Anyways, I'm going to continue only because the romances are actually enemies to lovers with a nice slowburn unlike a lot of BookTok recommendations

Just being real, I’m running out of ideas for finding ways to engage the Overwatch community with what most folks would call spamming or advertising... So I figured I’d at least make a post.

Below this bit is a general recruitment blurb for a gaming clan I founded over two years ago, read it if you’d like to find a group to game with that’s focused on the fun and chill in a safe environment, other wise have a good one my dudes.

Hey folks, we're the Heirs. We started out as a Destiny clan over two years ago. We maintain a member base of around 50-75 members but we have now shifted to become a general gaming clan with a pretty singular focus on community.

Chances are we have a group who plays your favorite games. We don’t pretend to be MLG at any of them, but sometimes you’ve just gotta get a little drunk and game with some of your weird internet friends. We're as major league as it gets in that department.
