What a despicable human being.

It makes sense why Peace tried to stop everything by jumping from the bridge. His father has no other way to attach his son's loyalty than threatening him and keeping him on a leash by fear alone. He is incapable of using true love or true care. He only knows to reign by cultivating terror. Fear and intimidation are his best weapon. He mold his pawns in the way he wants and when they are not useful anymore, he tosses them aside in a very brutal way.

It doesn't matter if you are related to him or not. He adopted Jihoon and Junho, but I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate to kill them if they make too many mistakes or are not useful anymore. They don't mean anything to him... and that's also true for Peace, to a lesser extent.

I think we all know that the answer is yes. He would if Peace doesn't comply to all his demands. Peace knows it too. He is a prisoner in this life and he can't make the choice he wants. Everything must be done according to what his father wants. He has no one around him (except Sun now) that cares about what he desires or wants. Jo controls everything and even the small things he has for himself (his passion for photography, the art gallery…) are just conceded to him and can be taken from him at any point. There are just another mean to control him.

Jo said that there is a reason for all his actions, but he never takes the time to explain them to Peace because he doesn't feel like he needs to know them. In a way, Jo knows that power is a fragile thing. It tolerates no threat and the better way to control everyone is to not give them all the information, so they will only do what you want when you want them to do it.

Jo’s heart bounced up into her throat and back down. Despite how weary her limbs were, she forced herself to roll over to nuzzle her neck. Emery was so soft, and her smell seemed to pull Jo in, like some kind of druid or gnome spell. Jo wrapped her arm over her body to hold her close. Saying it--those ‘I love you’s--was new to them, and hearing it still felt like a static shock through her entire body.

“I know,” she said, trying to keep her head here in this moment, unwilling to lose the precious few moments they had left. “But I’m not ready to go yet.”

Emery’s fingers through the back of Jo’s hair, and Jo sighed, soft and comfortable. This weekend hadn’t been long enough: a concert and a coffee festival, plus travel. Even though she’d spent every waking and sleeping moment with her, Jo felt like she barely saw Emery, and now, she’d have to say goodbye. “I’ll come visit soon. A month at most,” she said softly, practically talking to Jo’s hair more than she was talking to her.

Jo pulled her face out of Emery’s neck, putting her hand on both of Emery’s cheeks so she could stare her in the eye. “A month?” Emery nodded. “But it’s gonna go so slow when you’re not there. Time moves in, like, slow-mo when you’re not here.”

Her girlfriend squeezed her neck like an awkward-angle massage. “I’ll call you every night until then, okay?”

Winter Spirits - Joan

(aka a Drabble series about spending winter with the ROs)

The fire crackles and blazes orange, washing over your faces as you huddle around it. You don’t have a fireplace but Joan had suggested pulling up a video of one on your laptop. It’s surprisingly cozy with the snow falling outside and a good book in hand.

Jo had opted for a thick textbook they found at the library, no surprise there. They were curled into a blanket, cradling a steaming mug of tea. The loveseat was small enough that even sitting on opposite ends you were pressed into each other's space. You watch as they turn a page then bring the mug up to their face, not drinking but just letting the steam waft over them with a content smile.

You feel the urge to reach over and hold their no-doubt cold face in your own hands. Instead you reach for the mug, your mug of tea that they’ve commandeered for warmth. They relent their hold to allow you a sip without looking up from their book. Heat blooms down your throat and you suspect it's not wholly from the tea. When you hand it back, your hand lingers over their cold fingers tentatively.

This seems to garner their attention and their pale eyes meet yours, studying you. They come to some mental conclusion, transferring the mug to one hand and letting the other wrap delicately around your own. They turn back to their book and it's only when they give your hand a small squeeze that you realize your own book sits abandoned on your lap.

ash's is the longest cause they have the most gender options, jo's description feels so short in comparison but oh well,,
