Chasing Fireflies~Vinnie Vincent

Part 4-

They got to the emergency room, two medics came out and took Vinnie immediately, Josie and the rest were shown into the waiting room. It seemed like hours before the doctor came out with the results. " Are you Ms. Piper?" He asked Josie.

"Yes, Vinnie is my ex husband." "Yes ma'am, so here's the deal. Mr. Vincent has two fractured ribs, that we'll need to operate on immediately." Josie nodded. "Do it!" She consented. The doctor, turned and went back into the testing room.

They all sat for another 3 hours before the doctor came out again. "The surgery is complete, we just took him up to a room. You're welcome to join him. In fact, he's been asking for Ms. Josie especially!" They thanked the doctor and went up to see Vinnie.

They got to his room and went in to see him in pairs. He was asleep, when they went in. Paul told Josie that they'll check in on him again later. She nodded, and was about to leave herself; when she heard her name. "Josie..." She turned around, Vinnie was semi awake, he could barely keep his eyes open. He reached his hand out to her. "Stay.." he begged. "I'm right here Vinnie." She sat on the seat next to his bed; taking his hand in hers. She smoothed his hair back from his face. He leaned into her hand and fall asleep. She kissed his cheek and stayed by his side through out the rest of the night.

If you were to write a sequel to any story, which would it be and what shape would it take?

I have a sequel in my head for Void, but I haven’t gotten around to writing it. I also have a ficlet sequel for kick up the roots gathering dust somewhere, and a vague idea for a sequel for chasing fireflies. For the most part, I’d continue the fic where it left off or sometime later in the timeline of that particular verse, but with chasing fireflies I’d like to write it as continuing from where the fic left off but from Otabk’s point of view.
