Ingredients: 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 large egg whites. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 4 oz reduced-fat cream cheese, softened. 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. Grease a baking dish that is 8 inches square. Mix cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl with a whisk. Applesauce, sugar, egg whites, and vanilla extract should all be mixed well in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Butter and sugar should be mixed in a different bowl until the cream cheese is soft. Pour the brownie batter into the pan that has been prepared. Add dollops of the cream cheese mix on top of the batter. Mix the cream cheese into the brownie batter slowly with a knife. Put it in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. Let it cool all the way down before cutting it into squares.
