I love how the hotel receptionist never once questions any of the weird shit the Hargreeves get up to at the hotel, even though everyone else is like ??? just when they first arrive. Dude looking at newspaper clippings from decades ago of a big historical event that includes himself and 5 of the other guests that just checked in? Okay, cool. One of said guests is trying to move another of the guest's dead body in a carpet? Good luck, hope it works out. Wild

Chet’s role this season was basically to witness the hargreeves destroying the world and his hotel, pretending he doesn’t see anything and just vibing as chaos unfolds. Love that for him.

Season Review: Umbrella Academy - season 3

We finished this a couple of days ago ... but I don't have a lot of good to say. Perhaps I've lost the timeline thread and everything that happened in season 1 and 2, but I did read up on it.

The main issue is Allison and her anger and emotion toward Viktor. She blames Viktor for losing her daughter, which I assumes goes back to the end of the first season when the original world exploded and time travel - I think. That's the issue I have because I don't remember Allison mentioning the daughter throughout season 2 as she made a life for herself there. (While they were all stuck in that timeline, trying to stay alive and find a life).

Putting that aside, the fact that Allison couldn't see that Harlan didn't kill all the mother's on purposes, was... irritating. She didn't really even wait to hear everything, just reacted. And I get emotions are running high but at that point I feel as though Allison was looking for a reason.

Most other characters showed a lot of growth: Klaus taking control of his power, learning to stand up for himself; Luther finding love and standing up for himself; Diego admitting his love for Lila and looking forward to fatherhood; Five is always awesome. Ben was a little frustrating mostly because I wanted the Umbrella individuals to get their version of Ben back. The Sparrow Ben was so broken and hiding it under anger and obnoxiousness - and knowing that doesn't make it any easier to watch. (More so I was just excited to see the actor have a lot to do 😃)

I think the show is suffering by having the same bad guy each season. They need to branch out further than Hargreeves, it's like Dr Wells from The Flash, they kept getting new versions of him and why? Let the character go, allow the 'children' to learn and grow and find new adventures to go on.

And now for season 4 Hargreeves and Allison wrote a future where they have everything they ever wanted: where does that leave the rest of their family. We'll see how it all plays out I suppose.

Edit: I forgot to add that I loved the dance sequence between the houses, and then the karaoke and the wedding. I really like it when they are happy or having fun 💜
