3/17-(3 miles) Day after vacation & im feeling a bit gross/bloated. Tbh this was a pretty healthy vacation. In the past I used to indulge in everything on vacation. Now I’ve learned that eating certain foods makes me feel better. So I indulge on vacation, but primarily eat foods that I’m used to! I’d say the biggest change for me on vacation is eating out mostly & eating more bread. Since when I’m once I have drastically limited my bread intake. Either way though I still am feeling a bit blah this morning.
I have a ton to do to get ready for school today so I got up & got started by printing out some poster for my dorm😂 Then I made some breakfast! A little blueberry oatmeal & some yogurt. I heated up raspberries to put on top & it was not good at all. I will definitely be sticking with heated up blueberries. After that I just packed more & carried things up & down the stairs. I printed a ton of pictures, decorated my laptop case & my cork-boards! Then we had lunch with my grandparents. For lunch we had a spinach & cheese frittata, some grapes & bacon!
Eventually I decided to run a little. I totally could have taken today as a rest day, but I don’t know how much longer I will be able to run & I just wanted to get out there for a little. I took it easy today with just an easy three miles, stretching & some walks! It was gross, hot & humid out, but hey that’s Illinois for you. I also ran during the hottest time of the day whoops. The first mile I felt good, but my watch gps got messed up so I had to reset it. I’d assume I was around 9 minute pace. The second mile I started to get some tingling/heel pain & I slowed down to 9:35 & then the last mile apparently I wanted some speed despite the tingling because I just kept pushing it (whoops) to 8:19 pace! So ignore my watch because it says I ran 2 miles not 3😂 After that I quickly got ready for my mri! I snacked on some granola bites in the car & we were off.
Waiting for the mri took FOREVER!! But I got it done. Going into the machine kinda freaked me out & it was super loud, but it’s done!! Now I just wait for the results. After that we had dinner ( chicken, spinach & rice). Then I went on a walk with my mom. After that I painted stuff to my sorority, ate fro yo, worked on mental health & wellness stuff & packed more. So basically I was doing stuff for three hours straight. I have a ton more to do tomorrow!!

Injury update: tingling felt a lot better this morning. It was present during the run, but nothing that bad. After the mri it was bothering me, but it happens.
Today I’m thankful for walks with my mom & paintinggg
