It is now the month of December, and we are in the midst of the monsoon season 🌧 with plenty of precipitation. As the weather is turning chilly, McDonald’s Singapore decided to launch their newest Cheesy Jalapeño Burgers to offer us a little warm from the chilli pepper’s heat (spiciness). The burgers 🍔 are available in either beef 🐄 or chicken 🐓 and come in colourful boxes featuring the McDonaldland Crew.

I grabbed the Cheesy Jalapeño Quarter Pounder Feast (S$13.20) since this came with the new beef burger, Truffle Cheese McShaker Fries, Cookies and Cream Pie and a fizzy drink which I changed to a medium Ice Green Tea 🍵 by topping up S$0.40. I opted for the single beef patty burger 🍔 though you can also get the double patties version. The patty is juicy and came loaded with the new cheesy jalapeño cheese sauce, two slices of cheese 🧀, topped with crispy chicken bacon 🥓 in sesame seed buns.

For mum, I got her the ala carte Cheesy Jalapeño Chicken Burger (S$8.95). It featured a crispy chicken patty, two slices of cheese, chicken bacon 🥓 with the same cheesy jalapeño cheese sauce sandwiched between two sesame seed buns 🍔. The patty is thick and juicy and made with real whole chicken thigh meat, not the minced meat kind. The sauce is creamy and cheesy 🧀 with a little spicy heat in a good way.

The Truffle Cheese McShaker Fries came with a paper bag in which you poured in the fries and seasoning then gave it a few shakes to mix thing up. Warm and golden fries 🍟 coated in cheesy truffle cheese goodness. I can taste the cheese, but the truffle flavour is a little muted though.

Now for dessert, the warm Cookies and Cream Pie. Velvety cream with a perfect blend of chocolate 🍫 bits wrapped with a warm, bubbly cocoa pie crust. McDonald’s said the pie 🫔 is made with Oreo 🍪 crumbs, but I don’t remember seeing the crumbs though I can taste the Oreo. A little on the sweet side but otherwise chocolaty and creamy to end the meal.

My meal might have come to an end, but I still got new stuff to show you. I have no intention to buy it, but my colleague asked me to help her buy one. I am talking about the McDonald’s Pocket Pouch Blindbox (S$7.90 with qualifying meal purchases), available from 11am on 1 December 2025, while stocks last. Each blindbox contains one McDonald’s Pocket Pouch, featuring one of four possible designs: Grimace, Hamburglar, Birdie or Special (mystery design). Designs are randomly packed and sold in blindboxes. The contents of each box are unknown prior to opening and cannot be requested, exchanged, or guaranteed.

Was at KFC Singapore to buy their Mac N Cheese Bowl but somehow, I couldn’t find it from the DIY ordering kiosk. Instead, I came across KFC celebrating the International Burger Day 🍔 (28 to 30 May 2025) with the Ultimate Smokey Burger Meal 🍔🍟🥤 for only S$6.50.

This Ultimate Smokey Burger 🐓🍔 is the boldest, smokiest, most loaded Zinger ever built with a spicy Zinger fillet, crispy chicken bacon 🥓, cheddar cheese 🧀, fresh lettuce 🥬, and rich chargrilled buttermilk dressing, all tucked into a soft brioche bun. Going to admit that this is the yummiest zinger burger I have eaten so far.

Convinced mum not to cook dinner so I can go buy the new KFC Singapore’s Zinger burger. Went with the Smokey Hot Zinger Box 🍱 (S$12.30) which included the burger 🍔, one piece of hot & crispy fried chicken, regular fries 🍟, whipped potato 🥔 and a carbonated drink. 🥤

First impression, the Smokey Hot Zinger 🐓🍔 looks good with the glossy brioche buns sandwiching a piece of crispy chicken patty that doesn’t resemble the thick patty shown in the advertisement. Sinking my teeth into the burger 🍔, it is not as spicy as KFC would like you to believe in but in a good way. Both the chicken and chicken bacon 🥓 were crispy which went well with the irresistible combination of the creamy secret sauce and fiery hot sauce. I also love that tangy sweet and crisp cucumber 🥒 pickles in there.

I didn’t forget mum’s dinner. She went with an ala carte meal of Filet-O-Fish 🐟🍔 from McDonald’s Singapore. The burger came with tartar sauce and just half a piece of cheese. 🧀

Just earlier this year in January, McDonald’s Singapore announced the permanent return of their Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Come this December, the all-new Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese BBQ Chicken Bacon is out on the menu for a limited time only.

On the way home from my appointment and it is lunch time so I ordered the Quarter Pounder with Cheese BBQ Chicken Bacon Special (S$10.45) with Crisscut Fries and top up S$0.75 for a small Ice Green Tea. My single patty beef burger comes with three slices of crispy chicken bacon, onions, pickles, cheese and slathered in BBQ sauce. The bacon added a savoury crunchy texture, coupled with the rich and smoky BBQ sauce complemented the juicy beef patty well.

The McSpicy burger I have tried it quite a few times over the years. Frankly speaking, I found it a little too spicy for me though in recent time the heat seems to have been toned down or maybe I have grown more tolerant of the spices. When McDonald's Singapore released the new Sweet BBQ McSpicy and a new dessert, it is time to go try them out.

At the self-serve kiosk, I chose the Sweet BBQ McSpicy Feast (S$10.40) which came with the mentioned burger, a medium-sized fries and a Cocoa-nut Pie. Paid S$0.85 to upgrade the cola to a small ice milo. It is still the same old McSpicy that I know but with a sweet and smoky twist and slices of crispy chicken bacon! The BBQ creme sauce adds flavours and toned down the spiciness so I don’t have to keep reaching for the cup of ice milo. Overall, a notch better than the OG McSpicy but for a limited time only.

Now for the cocoa and coconut dessert, the warm Cocoa-nut Pie. The crispy cocoa shell hides the creamy coconut milk and nata de coco filling. It is not too sweet and the chewy pieces of coconut water jellies complements the crispy crust.

For this year’s World Cup, McDonald’s Singapore had kicked off with a not one but two new burgers, a side order and dessert to ensure fans don’t go hungry during the early morning live broadcast. I went ahead and order takeout for a set of Smoky BBQ Chicken Special, ala carte Hawaiian Grill Chicken and McChicken.

Mum got the Hawaiian Grill Chicken Burger (S$7.10). A juicy grilled chicken patty drizzled with spicy mayonnaise paired with tangy, grilled pineapple and chicken ham and topped with soft, white sesame seed bun.

For my Smoky BBQ Chicken Special (S$9.90), I upgraded my gassy drink to a small iced green tea (+S$0.80). The first thing that caught my eyes is the new dark malt bun sandwiching a chicken ham patty coated in crispy batter, savoury chicken bacon, melty cheese and refreshing tomato drizzled with smoky BBQ chipotle sauce. The burger tasted like barbecue with crispy lettuces and juicy tomato to boot though I can’t really say if I enjoyed the earthy malt buns.

I also picked up a McChicken (S$2.50) in case the above set doesn’t fills me up. The Potato Pops or tater tots from the set meal are supposed to be seasoned with herbs and spices but the flavour is a little underwhelming though I still enjoyed popping it into my mouth.
