before i dissect how chiron manifests within our placements, read the 3 paragraphs to comprehend his story more and how it could play out into your life :)
in his story, Chiron was a tutor of Gods, motherless as his mother abandoned due to his appearance. he was adopted by the Gods and raised under Apollo who saw the star in Chiron, the difference in him that made him special as he was half man and half horse. a centaur who was not reckless and choatic like the others, but a centaur who was wise and kind.
as he grew up he became a legendary sage of medicine, music, ethics, healing, prophecy and philosophy. everyone wanted to train under him and he accepted and did not only teach his students how to win or become better, he taught his students how to heal.
however, one day Chiron got hurt by his former student Hercules who was battling others and accidentally used one of his poisoned arrows on Chiron who despite is a legendary healer, could not heal himself and had to live with the agony forever as he is immortal. because of the suffering that was unbearable [the poison was very potent], he offered to trade his immortality for someone else's release which was Prometheus who was punished for giving fire to the Humans and touched by his self-sacrifice, Zeus allowed Chiron to die but placed him amongt the Stars [constellation Centaurus] immortal in a new way, but watching over others and healing.
asteroid chiron [2060] is an asteroid that represents not only our pain but also our talents! how to not only win but become better and to heal. it represents where we are hurt [which could even be unintentional if following the story] but where we feel at most pain to the point of agony, it speaks of abandonment, connection with the mother and how other people step in for us. it displays the message of how our wounds can also be sacred gifts in disguise and how we are remembered due to our generosity and gifts.
