I think one of the funniest things about AI is its potential usefulness in dating apps,
Hear me out real quick
Okay so, Dating apps have a lot of information they ask about you in order to match you yeah?
That's a lot of data to work with, from height to religion to political alignment
If these dating apps really wanted to they could potentially have a follow up email sent to you a while after you stop using it asking you "why did you leave". That's one more very important data set
From there, you could train an ai or algorithm (at this point, people use them interchangeably) to match people based off success and im sure you could get a fairly accurate match off the bat after a few years of running.
You could take the Insurance company approach because if you didn't know, insurance companies have a shit load of information about you and are scarily accurate in some of the risk management calculations they make based off that data. I have heard and am still trying to verify but allegedly, they have so much info that they are banned from using some of it because otherwise they'd be predicting and cheating people out of more money
Anyhow I say this because some dating apps let you link your other profiles from social media and Spotify
Imagine what they could do for match making with all that sweet sweet data
But alas the point of theae apps is to make money so instead imagine how badly they could make you feel the need to stay on said apps and drain you dry of your money by matching you to almost perfect but will eventually implode relationships because they have so much data on you and your match that the likelihood of you having a shit time and then coming back is higher than the two if you growing to be better together.
These are thoughts that plague my mind.
