I was once told (I haven't actually verified this, though, lol) that in the original "Oldboy" manga, the antagonist's motive isn't the same as in the movie (no incest, boo lol) and that it's so much weaker that you can't help thinking, "That's it? You imprison someone for years over that!?" For some reason, this thought immediately came to my mind after finishing Netflix's "Notes from the Last Row" (an adaptation of the Spanish play "El chico de la última fila") just now. "That's it!?" The fact that Choi Min-sik stars in both titles is a coincidence, lol. Overall, I started watching the drama for him, and oh, how I enjoy seeing him play a terrible person! He's so good at it, lol!
