Listen to your thoughts. As a perfectionist I’ll often beat myself up after a test, event or conversation. I tell myself it’s fine because beating myself up keeps me steadily improving but I’m also feeding my depression and anxiety with my negative self talk. Change the channel in your mind. Focus on the good.. Not because you’re in denial but because if you focus on the good you’ll attract more of it.. So many guys get rejected then focus on nothing but the rejection. The rejection becomes a self fulfilling prophecy and they start to believe they will always be rejected. No amount of cool clothing or suave pick up lines will override their own insecurities.
