Spice up your burger game with this flavorful Chorizo Burger recipe. The combination of ground beef and chorizo sausage, along with a blend of spices, creates a mouthwatering burger that's perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 lb chorizo sausage, removed from casing. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 1 tsp ground cumin. 1 tsp paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices pepper jack cheese. Lettuce, tomato, and red onion for garnish. Mayonnaise and ketchup for topping.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chorizo sausage, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, cilantro, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat and oil the grates or skillet to prevent sticking. Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of pepper jack cheese and allow it to melt. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and a few rings of red onion on the bottom half of each bun. Place a burger patty on top, followed by a dollop of mayonnaise and a drizzle of ketchup. Finish with the top half of the bun. Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious homemade Chorizo Burger!
