I've been learning Latin for a couple of weeks now (stressfully preparing myself for the hardest exam in my course so far), and it happens to coincide with my obsession with churches (not in a religious way, but rather in a cultural one). I won’t tell you whether that’s somehow related to Josh O'Connor playing a desperate young priest.

My hobby now is walking among basilicas and collecting inscriptions in Latin. It started when we had a walking tour with my archaeology professor during one of our classes, and of course, it was the inscription on the Pantheon that began it all.

Roman Key Rings

I was today years old when I learned that the Roman’s had literal key rings!  Most of the examples I can find are 2-3 century AD. The keys would have been too small for doors, but would have been perfect for small chests! Photo is from the Museum of London.

Help needed

How do you handle being an Archeologist when you are terrified of corpses and everyting associated to death. I am a BA1 Major in archeology but I have highfunctioning necrophobia. Should I just like specialze myself on Keramiks and ancient architecture instead? Cuz i love archeology and i wanna keep on pursuing this career but... Death terriefies me. Like i will faint, panic and even puke at the mention of death and dead people. So can someone give me advice?

A couple of days ago, I passed my archaeology exam. Before that, I had been preparing for all of my exams, since I missed the first semester and now have to catch up on everything by myself. One of the topics was operating tools, so I spent many hours in the library reading about pottery. I must admit that I’m an ignoramus when it comes to art, but I fell in love with a particular piece and even referenced it here (I didn’t really like the film tho)
