Turns out, this approach works on most people and your dating partners will appreciate how honest and confident you are
Protect your peace. They know what they are doing wrong. They just want to convince you that you are wrong for calling them out on their wrongs, and that they were always right from the start.
Não tem nada mais sexy do que comunicação clara.
Falar o que se pensa e sente sem rodeios, me fascina.
By the way, if you want your boundaries respected, you do actually have to communicate them
This goes for in person and online. People can’t read minds and they definitely can’t through screens
Like, yes you are entitled to your boundaries and it is your right to have them respected. But it does actually require people being told what they are in a clear manner for that to happen
And this goes for DNIs too. Don’t yell at me for violating your DNI when your DNI is behind five different links and when I finally do find it the font is impossible to read. That’s not clear communication
All in all I think it is really unfair to people for you to get mad at them for crossing a boundary they didn’t even know about. How is someone supposed to respect a boundary they didn’t even know existed
(General post, not targeted at anyone. Just something that I keep both witnessing and experiencing)
I love a friend with clear communication she’s like “i’m feeding you, leave by 12” and I’m like yes thank you that’s so perfect none of this ambiguity (/gen) she knows exactly what she wants and lets us know and everything is clear and wonderful
I hate being autistic. I fucking hate it. I usually adjust so well to new experiences, so when I don't because no one will give me guidelines or clear rules or the rules keep changing, I can't stand it. How does everyone else adapt so well?? How can I possibly know what I'm supposed to do if no one tells me or I *swear* to god it changes?
I hate being 31 and crying in the bathroom at work like a baby because I got overwhelmed by not knowing how to do my job correctly. Like a fucking baby.
