Some of you didn't watch FernGully enough and it shows.

What Is The Solarpunk Bible?
The foundation of punk as a subculture is to help people everywhere, which is exactly what this project aims to do. The Solarpunk Bible is a collection of useful knowledge for any and all situations, aimed to help people no matter the struggles they're facing.
The solarpunk bible is available on ao3, as it's the best way I can think of to make it as accessible as possible to people while still being downloadable and easy to navigate. In the future, once it's more complete, I intend on creating a whole community around this project, designed with helping and supporting other people around the globe in mind.
Requests and asks for what to include are welcomed and encouraged, but please remember I'm only one person so give it time for updates.
The future we want is fully possible, but we all need to pitch in and help. This project is aimed towards anyone who wishes to go forward in a way that paves the way to a bright future instead of the cyberpunk dystopia we've been sold.

Recently there was a patch of trees felled without warning.
It's nesting season, so it's very dangerous for the birds to destroy their trees. I've already seen woodpigeons mating in the nearby area about a month ago. I've seen birds such as woodpigeons, magpies, great tits, blue tits and a sparrowhawk in the area that's been felled (as well as robins, long-tailed tits, coal tits, blackbirds, goldfinches and house sparrows nearby). I have also heard a Jay nearby before, and one Facebook commenter has said there are nesting Jays. Additionally, it looks horrible - there used to be beautiful trees, and now there's just a thin strip of trees along the footpath, as well as a horrid big hole next to the car park. Our green spaces need more protection.
According to two councillor's Facebook posts, the Forestry Commission are investigating due to no felling licence or planning permission. They have served a Stop Notice. The matter has been raised with the wildlife crime team due to disturbance to nesting birds. The area has been allocated for development, but the felling has had insufficient regard for the environmental impact.
Developers will often illegally fell trees, then take the fine and build houses since it's already been destroyed. However, they could now be issued a restocking order, and would have to replant the trees.
I've seen two messages on the gate to the site protesting this, so I made this piece. If there's public uproar it could hopefully make them think twice next time, even if it doesn't save this one.
Some things never change.
A touch that traverses universes...
Activists on Kaurna Land (Adelaide) joining a nationwide day of protests against the destruction of native forests, the latest nationwide mobilisation called by the Bob Brown Foundation.
500 people marched in Adelaide, joining 15,000 people across 14 locations across the country.
This protest took place on stolen Kaurna land.
Had to take a quick pause on the writing. After a heat wave and wildfires it’s been a hard month for Ontario. Today it’s finally safe to be out and about and the dogs got some much needed relief and reacquaintance with nature. We are very lucky to have this privilege when others have lost their home. I don’t want to live without wild, green spaces. My heart has been very heavy this week 💚
If your "plant more trees" isn't about resetting up forests mass cut down but instead a mindless thinking more trees is inherently good. You are an ecofascist.
If your plant more trees is always temperate forest trees, you are an ecofascist.
If your plant more trees is against purposeful small burnings to prevent mass forest fires, you are an ecofascist.
There's a woody shrub in deserts for allergy free latex. There is so much important for medicine and breakthroughs flora of various diverse climates.
And trees do not boost the air much, that's algea in the water. Flora is about soil health, animal health. So you should appreciate the flora that helps with the environment. That doesn't mean it necessarily has to be native (dandelions for instance) but it does mean you have to take into account the other flora and fauna, the soil type, the ecosystem like desert or marsh or swamp or tundra or tropic to everything inbetween.
Thats not to say if you are currently a fascist you have to stay nor do i give any credence to how guilty you feel. All that matters is the future. Having appreciation for the differences and how interconnected it all is. Are you willing to work towards that?
That is always the answer. Not how guilty you are. Not how bad you were or are. Are you willing to improve? Be a bit more thoughtful? Work towards the strength to admit when you were wrong?
That's what matters.
