i see poetry as a great escape from the mind
to interpret something in your own way or in the way of others
it’s soothing
my favorite poets throughout time are deemed artists, and i say that they are so much more
you learn about them; about their experiences, through their writing
to have their mind and their thoughts is something nobody but them may understand.
as i lie awake every night the best resource i could ask for is some poetry to calm the thoughts
when people ask me how i cope with everything that’s happened; my gender and sexuality included, i simply say “art”
because that’s what poetry is
art

Gandhi With A Closeted Non-Binary S/O
Before dating you, the thought that you’re hiding something definitely crossed his mind. Maybe it was the hair, baggy clothes, he didn’t know. But he could definitely see something was troubling you that you had to get off your chest.
Movie nights when you’re stressed?
Y e s .
Does stupid Gandhi tings to cheer you up when you’re crying over not knowing how he’ll react when you tell him how you feel about him and your gender identity.
Will constantly tell you that your opinion and thoughts on your body and self are valid, that you as a whole are valid. Considering he himself likes you, it really sucks to see you so worried and sad.
One day he gets so caught up in trying to cheer you up that he just, kisses you. Softly, passionately, sweetly. Not for long, though, he gets embarrassed quick. Needless to say, you got yourself another kiss, and he got himself a date.
After a bit of dating, he n e v e r fucks up your pronouns. Is absolutely ok with you identifying as non binary because hey, to this mans, everybody has the potential to be sexy. Doesn’t matter what you have in your pants, it’s what’s in your heart that matters to him. And yours is a heart of gold to him.
Cuddles and whispering sweet nothings into your ear? To the m a x .
If you dress more feminine, he will gladly do your nails, hair and makeup for you. If you dress more masculine, he will gladly go buy you cologne(lmao it’s just axe body spray), try in suits with you and let you wear his beanies and chains.
If he writes a wrap about you, he’ll make two versions. One with your biological pronouns so that he can blast it through the halls and prove you’re his and not force you out the closet completely without your permission. The other with your correct pronouns, just for you to listen to and for you to know that he’s always yours and always supports you.
If you can sing, he will g l a d l y ask if you wanna be featured on the track. It’ll just make it even more special for him.
JFK is either gonna be making fun of you two in the recording booth, or gushing over it cus he er uh, is for LGBT rights y’all ✨
He’ll be the only other high school friend who knows, and is also really supportive. Will probably come to you and Gandhi about all his questions on sexuality even if you can’t answer em
Gandhi is also h e l l a protective. If he hears someone talking smack, he is gonna roll up his damn sleeves, march over to the fucker, and ask you to pick him up so he can smack the bitch right back. On god 😎
B I G on PDA. This boy will gladly hold your hand, hug you and kiss your cheek at any time of day, doesn’t care where he is. As long as you know he loves you for you, and so everyone knows not to mess with you for the way you dress or your tone of voice ✨
When your closeted and don’t know your gender identity and everyone is like “put your pronouns in your bio :)” and you feel really upset because you know who you are.
Ramblings of a Closeted Enby (Again)
So I plan to cut my hair short. My family finding out and they always seem so sad or disappointed. I mean, it's just hair? Plus I've seen plenty of adorable short hair styles. Why are you mourning the loss of my long hair? Can you just say something like "You sure? Well then, I'm sure it'll be adorable! If you like it, go for it." Instead I get "oh.. really? You might look like a boy. I don't like short hair." To me, thats the equivalent of, I don't like the color pink, therefore you should never buy any pink clothes because I don't like it. I see people rock the color pink and look handsome or adorable. Just because I don't like it and won't wear it, doesn't mean it won't look good on someone else.
HAHAHFGHHHJ “Eh” I love remaining gender less
Eccchhhh.. One of these days I wanna come out as nonbinary... Going through the motions of gender and trying to pass to stay closeted sucks. I worry how family will react. But I can't stand being called a girl anymore.
Some days I worry in the semi near future my parents will accuse me of exposing my younger sister to too much of the queer community, other days I lend my copy of I wish you all the best by Mason Deaver to her
