I can’t keep letting you consume me

you’re gone,

so I should let you go.

Yet here I am,

sifting through the echoes of you,

replaying memories

like they still belong to me.

I’ve had my faults,

and so have you

two imperfect souls

trying to hold something

that was never meant to stay.

Maybe everything happens for a reason,

maybe love sometimes visits

just to be felt,

not kept.

And still…

I’m grateful.

For the memories,

for the kind of love

I always dreamed of

even if it was only borrowed,

even if it was never mine to keep.

I carry it with me now

as something soft,

something fleeting,

something real.

So this is me,

closing the chapter

with trembling hands

Bittersweet Big Apple

I may be leaving nyc soon, but I am so happy i met so many artistic souls, the weirdos ,punks , rebels, musicians, drags, divas, dancers  of the night.

It made me who I am now and I will only reflect the amazing journeys I got to experience, it may have been alone and much a hell most of the time , but I grew some things good some bad, I’m grateful for every experience.

To see and be able to grow more and more every waking moment closer to my summer finale, I appreciate the growth to get here.

Even though it’s closing with this city doesn’t mean another is waiting to come.

There’s beyond much I can express for New York, every borough I hopped and moved in, and boy how New York you challenged me and torn me down more and more, it took a Virus to expand in the world to kick me out,  but you can’t stop this fire soul to have her fun. I’m looking forward to no more winters, but I’ll miss getting drunk to get warm to deal with the snow and cold. Nightlife made me alive, made me free,made me see other creatives at night. I saw so much in so many expressive scenes .

I will relive another summer when everything opens may not be now , but I hope for a great future after this dark period. I have faith we will overcome, it’s a long delay, but all ok. Better outcomes can soon prosper. I know it, 2020 is just time to hide and stay away, the time of Isolation.
