The thing about dean is that his biggest want is needing to be needed. Like he wants sam to need him so he can justify how much he needs sam, and he always needs a reason to have sam be dependent on him. Be it either mourning jess, dealing with visions or hallucinations, patching him up after a hunt, telling him when to go to bed, making food for him. He needs to take care of sam, and he needs sam to need it as well

I need help validating my own emotions.

That's okay. It takes practice. I do my own work and I practice anyway. I enlist a group of loved ones that I trust to support me along the way. They also hold me accountable.

And in expressing that I need help validating my emotions, I share my vulnerability with others and allow them the opportunity to love me where I am.
