hello & welcome ✦ a novel, a history, a deep dive
This blog was born out of an obsession with a story we couldn't not write.
We are working on an original historical novel set in Prague, 1942, against the backdrop of Operation Anthropoid—the assassination attempt on Reinhard Heydrich.
It’s not a story about heroes. It’s a story about a young Soviet woman faced with an impossible choice: collaborate or die. It’s about moral decay, the terrifying price of survival, and the ghosts that live in the gray areas of history where simple answers don’t exist. It's psychological, it's dark, and it doesn't look away.
You can find the full story here: → AO3 (English version) → Ficbook (Russian version)
What to expect on this blog? • Updates & Excerpts: Sneak peeks, quotes, and announcements when new chapters drop. • Historical Context: Photos, facts, and reflections on WWII, Prague, and the era that fuels the story. • Writing Process: Our thoughts on crafting difficult characters and navigating complex history.
This is a space for the story to breathe beyond the page. If you're into historical fiction that tackles tough questions, you might find something here.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to linger.
Today is a wonderful day 🎉

911 Bingo Master Post
Phew! What a ride, especially the last 2 weeks!
Second round of BINGO done! We didn’t finish our card…again…but we are very proud of the work that we did turn out!
All of these works were completed for @911bingo! We would like to thank @911bingo for this amazing opportunity, all of these prompts are so good and force us out of our comfort zones and we love it! We also want to thank all of our awesome readers! It makes us so incredibly happy to see that others are enjoying our works!
On a personal note, I (@calliecat-cc) personally want to thank my partner @terriblycontrite for everything she does. I may be good at throwing plot bunnies and teasing out and poking holes in plots, but she really is the brains of this operation and none of these would be possible without her, literally, these fanfictions would not exist.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

No descanses, sigue adelante.
Elijo enamorarme...
Te elijo a ti...
Quédate, permanece así.

Today on the site, I’m excited to have both brains behind the exciting upcoming Toronto Pride-centric YA, When You Get the Chance, coming May 4th from Running Press! Here’s a little more about the book: As kids, Mark and his cousin Talia spent many happy summers together at the family cottage in Ontario, but a fight between their parents put an end to the annual event. Living on opposite…
