Starting Small, Aiming High: Day 1 of the 100-Day Coding Challenge
Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey for me โ the 100-Day Coding Challenge. Iโll be updating this blog regularly to document my progress and share my experiences, insights, and challenges along the way.
I have followed the first dayโs prompt according to the prompt list I have made for myself which I have shared in the previous post.
The prompt of the day is :
Create a program that calculates the factorial of a user-inputted number in Python.

Take this yet another test of the maya plus other work, style of post.
This time around I modelled a quick floating robot for a coding challenge that one of the design teachers at school is holding.
Find still images as well as a little bit more of an explanation on the challenge itself below the line

So the challenge itself was split into a few stages create a third person controller that has a robot move around with the WASD keys, then add a turret to it that can fire on a mouse click, then add a horde of zombies that chase the player and if they touch them the game resets, zombies can be killed by shooting them. And finally add pickups to the game ย that change the players weapon and a second zombie type that moves at a different speed.
I have until the 19th of May to complete the challenge and would like to aim to get the majority done.
Tonight I got the Ballbot model completed and imported into Unity and the basic movement script is complete.

Also did a little bit of research on hard and soft edges guided by Shane, the same teacher who put together the coding challenge. This little bit of info really did help to create a better shape for the ballbot as a whole, from making the ball smoother to giving better definition around theย โeyeโ inset, the edge of the extruded centre and to the base of the model, which will eventually have the turret attached to it.
I have a sentiment that anything you start shouldnโt be stopped on the second day. Unfortunately, I had not continued the 100-day coding challenge I had set for myself after the first day. I had to go out of town for a week and had some other college work came up the other week. It has been 16 days since I had done the first day of the challenge.
Talking about that, there is a saying that manyโฆ
