How strange would it look to take my heating pad to work? It gets fucking cold in the office, and it's not good for my work performance. But I don't want to do something way the hell outside of social norms, because I'm a temp and I live in Missouri.

Cold and MS

Everyone knows how I fare in the heat. If you don't, let me get you up to speed. It's not good. So now here I am, living in Massachusetts, hoping that my MS will hold up a bit better in the wintry weather. I got all the way to February with minor, if any, problems at all. A success! Well, a momentary success. Now that we've been hit with two blizzards, a nor'easter, and too many snow storms for me to bother counting, this girl's central nervous system is saying enough is enough. My right leg is definitely giving up in the frigid temps. It doesn't want to pick up off the ground anymore and I'm getting mild to moderate hugs. Nothing severe, nothing worth worrying about, but still there and very frustrating. Luckily, my longest flare in the last 2 months has been 3 days. Other than that, I've had a couple of bad days, but mostly, I feel pretty good! Still a huge improvement from when I used to have daily pain! At this point, I'm just trying to focus on spring and getting through this season. It's not the most positive I've ever been, but I'm trying! I need to train for the ride. It's 8 days away and I'm praying that this cold wont keep me from riding. I've been doing a lot of foam rolling for stretching (prepare for a post about that soon!) and I've been trying to go slow. I'm flying to Miami next week and I just can't wait. GET ME OUT OF THIS FRIGID TUNDRA.
