Prompt: Cuddle Ship: Fox/Fives Rated: G .
Fox doesn’t cuddle, especially with overly cocky, bratty ARC Troopers with obnoxiously charming smiles.
“They let you get away with this in the five hundred and first?” He sneers as his face is pressed into Fives’s bare chest, and he admits that maybe it’s kind of nice to feel this sort of intimate contact outside of needy, desperate sex.
“And more,” Fives chuckles as he cards his fingers through the guard’s hair, slick with sweat from previous activities.
“Disgusting,” Fox replies with a soft sigh, and decides maybe it’s not so bad to cuddle after all.
This prompt for Foxiyo! (Or whatever you want!): we have a shit ton of stuff to do today but you're bored and want kisses and my attempt at resisting fails and we end up making out on the floor
Based on this prompt list. Hey, thanks for the prompt! @amukmuk gave me the same one but for rexsoka, and it was fun to see how a similar prompt played out differently for different people! This fic is set in the universe of Worthy of Devotion, and Riyo is Chancellor. Fox was assigned to be her bodyguard, but isn't anymore.
Fox jogged into the receiving room just outside of Riyo’s office where a nervous Maja paced back and forth.
“Oh thank goodness you’re here,” Maja said when she noticed his approach. “It’s really bad.”
Fox nodded curtly. “What’s the situation?”
“She’s meeting with the Banking Clan tomorrow to discuss interest rates,” Maja said. “She’s been reading over the same document for six hours. She hasn’t eaten in twelve. Hasn’t slept since yesterday, either.”
“I understand,” Fox said, opening the double doors to Riyo’s office and stepping through. He had a mission to complete. He’d never failed an assignment before, and he wasn’t about to start now.
Riyo hid behind a pile of datapads at her desk. Her lilac hair was stringy and unkempt, with golden hairpieces sticking out at haphazard angles. Deep purple bags hung under bloodshot eyes, and she tapped her stylus rapidly against the desktop as her eyes darted back and forth across the screen of her datapad.
Wick stood guard at the door, and nodded his understanding as Fox entered the room. Good luck, he seemed to say, and Fox had to agree he was going to need it.
Fox approached the Chancellor carefully, keeping his footfalls light and his expression soft. “Riyo…?”
She didn’t look up. “Can’t talk. The Banking Clan always finds a way to twist our negotiations in their favor, and it won’t happen this time.”
“Didn’t your financial advisors already prep you for this meeting?” he said.
“Yes, but my prep is never enough. They always bring up something I hadn’t anticipated. I need to understand-”
“Riyo, you’re not going to be able to get a university degree in finance over the course of one night.”
Riyo’s head shot up and she looked down her nose at Fox, her anger giving way to an imperiousness at odds with the tangled mess of gold and purple atop her head. “Are you trying to say I should give up? Because that’s not going to happen. Every problem can be overcome with effort. If you’re willing to put in the work, nothing is impossible.”
Fox stepped up to her and placed his hands over hers where she clutched at the datapad. “Of course. And I know you’d never give up. But a sharp mind will help more than any last-minute reading. Why don’t you take a minute to recover?”
The hard line of Riyo’s mouth quavered, and her determined expression broke. She shook her head and buried herself back in the datapad. “I… I really can’t. There’s just… so much to do.”
Fox tugged gently at her fingers, but she wouldn’t loosen her grip on the datapad. He’d have to try another tactic.
He looked up at Wick and gave him a subtle nod. Wick nodded back and silently left the room, closing the double doors behind him.
Fox stepped cautiously around the back of Riyo’s desk, behind her chair. He rested his palms against her delicate shoulders, wincing at the stiffness of her thin frame. He began to rub his hands down her arms, then back up to her neck.
Riyo’s shoulders dropped down a few centimeters, and he allowed himself a smirk. This new approach seemed to be working.
“Fox… I really, really need to work.”
He started working his fingers into the tight muscles behind her shoulder blades. “I know. I’m attempting to facilitate that, Madam Chancellor.”
She let out a small groan of relief and let her head fall back against the top of her chair. Her nose scrunched up at the sound of her title. “You know I don’t like when you call me that.”
“That’s the capacity in which you are currently operating, ma’am.”
She opened her eyes and looked up at him, and Fox wondered at how she was still so beautiful when she looked like hell. “Is this your way of telling me I need to step back?” she said.
“I told you that explicitly a few minutes ago, ma’am, and you said you were fine. I wouldn’t dare contradict you.”
Riyo snorted, then sat up straight again. She reached for her datapad. “Ok, I get it. I’ll take a break soon, I promise. I just need to finish this chapter.”
No, Fox thought, panicking as his hard work began to unravel before his eyes. No, I’m so close!
He crouched down over the side of her chair and tucked his nose just under her jawline, waiting a breathless second before kissing the soft flesh of her neck. It was an underhanded strategy, and he wasn’t proud of it, but drastic times called for drastic measures.
Riyo gasped, one hand rising up to feel along the stubbled side of his face. “Fox…” she said, her voice breaking.
If she was still capable of speech, he obviously wasn’t trying hard enough. He nipped gently at the side of her throat, then sucked her soft skin beneath his teeth. She groaned and dug her fingers into his hair. Fox opened his eyes and huffed in frustration. One of her hands still clutched at that damned datapad.
It’s the angle of approach, he thought. Now that I’ve engaged my opponent, I need to get on more favorable terrain.
He pulled her chair back, then rolled backwards onto the plush carpet, taking her with him. Her eyes widened in surprise but she came willingly, her soft form clinging tightly to his chest. Fox hated being out of his armor in most situations but he had to admit there were times civvies were convenient.
He pulled her down to him and met her mouth with his, kissing her with a practiced familiarity that was both comforting and thrilling. She sighed into his mouth and held his face in her hands in that particular way that made him feel precious and loved. Maybe this mission would be beneficial to him as well as the Chancellor.
Riyo pulled back and Fox let out a whine of protest totally unbefitting his rank. “Was it… Was it really so bad?” she asked.
Fox smirked and held his hand against her cheek, stroking up and down with his thumb. “Maja called me in.”
Riyo’s mixed emotions played like a holo drama across her face: chagrin, gratitude, annoyance. But thankfully her expression landed on something Fox had come to recognize as love. “Then I guess I owe her a raise.”
Fox chuckled, a low sound deep in his chest, and pulled Riyo back down to him.
I Just want to say: I apologize for this in advance.
Fives definitely stormed Area 51. He understood it was meant to be a joke, but he FULLY intended on leaving with government secrets. He does get in and out with files and an alien.
Hardcase thought fives was joking but did intend to go in despite that. Realized Fives was serious and was caught a bit off guard, is still totally on board. Running though the base with fives.
Echo goes along, seems a bit hesitant. Until they actually arrive. Even fives is a bit scared of his energy once he gets into it. Breaks away from the group near the end, steals a spaceship.
Jesse was meh, but also gets pretty into it once they arrive. Drives the getaway van. (What may or may not have been commandeered from the army)
Rex is screaming from outside the premises begging them to reconsider. Also gets interviewed by the press. Tries to explain but fails.
Coric is chilling at his tent with a lawn chair and a drink. Came for the music festival.
Wolffe and fox are both shooting at raiders.
Cody got a hotel room 4 months in advance and is laughing at rex
Tup has the spirit, but he’s absolutely terrified and being dragged along bu the raid team. He didn’t bring a weapon but he definitely killed a guard.
Dogma either didn’t show up and is avoiding the event entirely, or is dead of a heart attack.
Crosshair is shouting “actually they can shoot all of you” on Twitter. He’s salty cause he couldn’t get a plane ticket.
Tech has blueprints of the base but wont share them. He hacked .gov.
Hunter brought the camper he lives in. He’s also just here for the music festival and watching the chaos.
Wrecker does not fully understand whats going on. Helped them get in, then returned to enjoy the festival. Went back for a final explosion.
Thorn was a guard but also leaked files.
Kix is in the back of the getaway van to usher them in an provide cover fire and medical assistance.
Bly saw those alien tiddies. Stole everything he could.
Waxer, boil, sinker, and boost are all just in it for the memes. Didn’t actually storm the base. Probably naruto ran a bit though.
Faie has a tank and is shooting at raiders.
Gree is trying to stop tech from stealing files and failing.
Am joining the fox’s fat tiddies train. Possibly late and irrelevent but oh well.
Citizen, calling the guard: some members of the 501st-
Fox: *hangs up*
Senate Murders.
The resolute was under complete lock-down while the senate got word of what was happening. And as it turns out, when senators start feeling threatened, it does not end well for the clones. They started saying things like, the clones are dangerous, that they need combat in order to keep themselves in check, otherwise they begin murdering.
One night after the Resolute was grounded, Commander Fox of the coruscant guard was placed on senator guard duty. Nothing new.
Except this specific senator was Rush Clovis. Head of the banking clan. And he was directly responsible for thorns death.
It took all of Fox’s strength not to strange that man, especially with the way he treated clones in general.
He stood at his post, by the door, while Clovis sat on the couch, eating his bantha steak room service meal.
“Hey foxy, what do you think about this? ‘Clones can't be trusted, if they turn to murdering all organics on a ship after just a few days away from battle. Therefore the coruscant guard should be retired for the safety of the senators. An excess of clones that don't see combat in the senate building could prove disastrous for the republic, if they suddenly turn to murder as a clone on board the resolute has.’”
Fox couldn't tell if Clovis was serious, or if he was goading him, like he so often did. He stayed quiet though.
“With the current situation I'm glad those droids took out Amidala’s escort. It would be a shame if something bad happened to her, or she was murdered by one of those clones. I doubt she would be able to defend herself against those troopers” he gave fox a smug smile, knowing, thinking, fox could do nothing.
Fox discreetly double tapped one of the buttons on the panel near the door on the wall behind him. The room would now be soundproofed.
“Ah Foxy but whatever will happen to you? Maybe the same thing that happened to the commander with Amidala? What was his name…? It doesn't matter anyways now. He put up a good fight, he really did. It was visible from my window you know?”
Fox balled his fists. He was about to snap. Clovis had watched thorn be shot, had watched his stand, and still, he was glad it had happened? Clovis must have noticed.
“Hm? What's wrong Foxy? I strike a nerve?”
“It's nothing sir. If you're done, I'll take your plate.”
“Yeah sure, step outside. Go take a breather.” Clovis said smugly, smiling as if he had won.
And he had won. He had pushed Fox too far. Fox put down his blaster, and slowly walked over to where Clovis was sitting. He took the plate and cutlery off the table, stood straight up, and picked the knife up off the plate. He let the plate drop and shatter at his feet. He stared directly at Clovis through his darkened glass visor.
“Uhh… Foxy?? What's… haha… whats wrong foxy?” Clovis was scared. Fox could hear it in his voice. Clovis may have won but he was not going to get the last laugh.
“C-commander fox? Hey I’m sorry ok i didn't-” at the sound of his name he sprung forward, plunging the steak knife into Clovis’ chest. the first of many times to come. Clovis screamed and fought him but the head of the guard was too strong for the senator to fight off.
“Yeah, that's my name. Commander fox.” Clovis punched and kicked at the solid armor Fox wore. Fox went in for another slash, this time cutting across the senators collarbone. “Not “foxy.” commander. Fox!” Fox yelled over the senator's screams. He brought the knife into the senator's side, holding onto his shirt to prevent escape. “And thorn. that's the name you were looking for.” Clovis screamed and kicked but that only earned him another stab wound to the thigh. “Commander Thorn was the man you killed on Scipio” the senator was weakening as his blood flowed out of the holes he was now filled with. Fox jammed the knife into his neck to finish the job quicker. He was done here.
He stood up and viewed the scene.
Suddenly he heard the door open behind him. He whipped around thoughts racing through his head ‘am i discovered? How could i be so stupid, i forgot to lock the door, This is the end for sure-’
“Hey Fox i- whAT THE KRIF-”
“SHHHH! Please dont panic” Fox raises his hands and takes his helmet off and drops it as the door closes behind thorn.
“Fox… what did you DO!?”
“I… he killed Thorn. He WATCHED HIM DIE THIRE. He watched him, and he didn't care. He said he was GLAD he had him killed. He didn't even know his name. He knows Thorns name now though. I doubt he'll forget it. He got what he deserved.”
“Fox… that isn't going to bring him back. That's only going to get you killed! How are you going to explain this!?”
“Ive avenged him, Thire. I couldn't bring him back but i could kill the man who was responsible. I … I've got an idea on how to get away with this. But I'll need your help, and you'd have to lie for me.” Fox’s heart beats fast. He's killed criminals before, with his blaster. But this is different. Much more personal. And it feels good. The power he’d felt over Clovis who he had felt powerless against before. He, nor his brothers, would be harmed by Clovis again. And it felt great.
Thire sighed and rubbed his face. lying for and helping Fox would make him an accomplice. But he couldn't let fox be taken away. And if he didn't say yes…
“Fine. what do you need, Fox?”
“I need you to help me wash my armor, first of all. And lock that door.”
Love them
